I'ts no secret that Biden has stated - probably intending it to be off-the-record, that the cost of living crisis in the US can be plausibly blamed on Putin. No doubt there are people thick enough to believe it.
So far, BJ has kept his thoughts away from anyone other than close aides but it seems obvious to me that he has grabbed this international crisis with gusto as a chance to look statesmanlike in the face of domestic difficulties. I've been criticised on the Telegraph comments for saying so but I've not changed my mind.
