As the name implies I am/was a mechanical engineer. Gave up work a few years back; early retirement unless I find I need more money and/or a very interesting project comes along. Otherwise I wanted to concentrate on mountaineering, music (mostly playing in jazz bands), healthy lifestyle, DIY projects, science. But now all of that on hold as I fear where society is heading both on the science and our human rights and all my time taken up trying to keep track of it all and wondering what I can do about it!
