Former Metropolitan Police officer Paul Birch spent 24 years in the police. In this interview from the premium section of the Sceptic, he gives a first-hand account of how the police went woke – embracing EDI, virtue-signalling and “community policing” – and why that’s been such a disaster…

Colleege of Policing is not about professionalising but about politicising the police.
Sorry about typo.
I have always thought it pretentious for senior police officers to take their time off the proper job to stand outside courts and give interviews to say how much they agree with the verdict and the sentence. That is not their responsibility and they have no right to comment. Quiet satisfaction is all they are entitled to.
Police and Crime Commissioners have been a disappointment to the public but no doubt a satisfaction to the elites and the Home Office whose agenda they follow.
Those with FREESAT should watch TALKINGPICS TV. They show the police series Z — Cars. I had never heard of this Police series before watching that channel (mostly dedicated to old British films & Dramas) Z Cars gives in insight into the Police in this drama, along with similar programs at the time. No Woke, just plain old common sense Policing. The last storyline was about an armed man at an empty stadium with a hostage, and the Police marksman shot dead the hostage by accident, they were given a Lee Enfield 303 Rifle and one clip, where they complained how hard up they are to only give one round of ammo. Fair play, the British made good films & Dramas in the 1970s.
Ah Z Cars – I remember it well – great theme tune. Just hearing a few bars of the introductory music takes you right back to happy youth.
