Lord Barwell’s Threat Against the Daily Sceptic Says it All About Elite Derangement as Net Zero Faces Humiliating Global Collapse (and Ed Milliband May be Sacked)

by Chris Morrison
4 March 2025 9:00 AM

Lord Gavin Barwell was the Chief of Staff for Theresa May – in a field with numerous candidates, probably the worst British Prime Minister in living memory. Reacting to a recent Daily Sceptic article that laid out the science surrounding carbon dioxide, he pounced on an X repost by “Toby and his mate [yours truly]” and stated: “I suspect the next generation may pursue people like him who sought to delay action for damages.” Barwell’s comment is as silly as it is sinister, but it indicates considerable elite derangement as members observe their Net Zero fantasy falling in flames. Net Zero was only ever an elite luxury belief backed by 30 years of lies, fake science and constant climate scare forecasts that never happened. Removing all hydrocarbons from industrial societies will lead to economic and societal collapse. Removing hydrocarbons from the developing world is just plain wicked.

https://twitter.com/GavinBarwell/status/1896245876559138958

The pure snobbery behind Net Zero is plain for all to see. The latest carbon budget from the Climate Change Committee (CCC) suggested restrictions on meat and dairy, higher air fares, ripping out efficient gas boilers and replacing them with optimistically-named heat pumps and replacing most cars with battery buggies. The message might have gone down slightly better if it had not been delivered by the new CCC head Emma Pinchbeck, who rose through the mediocre ranks of the Green Blob following her degree in Classics and English at Oxford University. Does anyone outside the deluded, science-lite green community seriously believe that an entire population will fall in line with plans to cut the hard-won increases in living standards that have eased the lives of recent generations? In a future ‘Blackout Britain’, the only pursuing likely to occur is a chasing of the Net Zero rascals out of Parliament at the next available General Election.

Following Trump’s historic victory, the attack on Net Zero is now general across all fronts. The costs involved in Net Zero are astronomical and are a topic of independent commentary in the Daily Sceptic and a greatly increasing number of other concerned outlets. There simply isn’t enough money in highly-indebted states to fund a so-called renewable transition. There is no point in looking for the free market to chip in – nobody spending their own money would considering building a windmill unless their mouths were stuffed with taxpayer gold. The recent story in the Express that the UK Energy Secretary Ed Miliband is set to be sacked as the British Government “shifts from ‘green’ policies to focusing on economic growth” is not without interest. Nevertheless, caution in believing such political stories is always advisable, although it appears that knives are being sharpened. Even if the Mad One is sacked, the Labour front and back benches are packed with one-track eco-zealots, and the CCC is always there to hold feet to the legal fire.

Dr Roy Spencer is a brilliant former NASA scientist and currently produces the monthly global satellite temperature record out of the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). In a scientifically honest world, his UAH readings taken just above massive urban ground warming would be accepted as the gold standard. After all, satellite data is now used across all other climate study areas. But the readings since 1979 show less warming than the constantly fiddled surface datasets and he compounds this crime by holding sceptical independent views. “The science of human-caused climate change is much more uncertain that you have been led to believe,” he recently wrote. Spencer does not deny that humans have played a part in 1°C of warming over the last century, give or take a 30% range in different temperature datasets. He just notes, “We don’t really know.” And why don’t we know, he asks, and why can we therefore state that the invented ‘settled’ science backing Net Zero is a gigantic lie? Spencer explains that the global energy balance caused by increasing human-caused emissions is smaller than the accuracy with which we know natural energy flows in the climate system. “This means recent warming could be mostly natural and we would never know it,” he helpfully adds.

Most climate and weather fearmongering is based on computer models, with unquestioning messengers always at hand to pass on the junk findings to a wider audience. The climate models are adjusted (‘fudged’) so that increasing CO2 is the only cause of warming, says Spencer. “The models themselves do not have all of the necessary physics, mostly due to cloud process uncertainties,” he observes

Spencer also notes that the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Changes does not claim that greenhouse gas emissions have caused changes in severe weather. This inconvenient finding has necessitated the invention of a particularly large whopper. Almost all bad weather is now routinely tied to human causation, and ‘attribution’ pseudoscience is both big business and bedrock copy for mainstream media. “But with public opinion of mainstream news outlets at an all-time low, fewer and fewer people take those news reports seriously,” suggests Spencer.

Gavin Barwell was May’s Chief of Staff at the end of her Premiership at a time when she was desperately seeking a legacy for her failed time in office. For some inexplicable reason, she suddenly committed the UK in 2019 to full Net Zero by 2050, without providing any realistic explanation as to how a modern industrial society can stop using hydrocarbons in all forms in 30 years. Perhaps Barwell could now be ‘pursued’ for an explanation as to why he was complicit in forcing the UK down such a potentially damaging, disastrous even, path.

Stop Press: The latest UAH global temperature reading shows a +0.5°C anomaly for February 2025. The figure is similar to January and recent recordings exhibit a large downward trend. Surface measurements do not appear to have picked up much of this fall and mainstream media still seem to be looking for another ‘hottest evah’ contribution to the science debate.

Then remove the threat to that teacher. Deport the threat, or threats to a country more in keeping with their values. Multiculturalism is not possible because as in this case a ‘new and vibrant’ culture is making every effort for us all to be in line with their culture.

I quite agree. Did the police not identify the people making the threats? Why should this chap and his family have their lives turned upside down? This is what really gets on my tripe because it should be a blanket rule for everybody. If you come into our countries then you adhere to our laws and respect our culture. Our culture says that we can draw anyone’s god, be it Buddha, Jesus, God, any Hindu god etc..so why should Islam be held to some different standard to all others? If people want to burn some religion’s Holy book then let them get on with it, but why should Islam’s Koran come with the threat of death if none of the others do?
Well I think I’ve made my feelings clear on the entire Islam situation by now, but this is it in a nutshell;

Evidence is pretty clear that England is an Islamic country at this point. There’s blasphemy laws, there’s Sharia courts all over the place, mosques everywhere, and seems like you can get away with anything as long as it’s done in the name of the prophet, from death threats to sexually abusing thousands of children.

An argument that is often wheeled out is to avoid “inflaming community tensions” but that does not seem to apply when the white community is the one getting “tense” – look at what happened in Ireland with the recent protests

And have you noticed the change in terminology as well? As if it makes it less shocking and disgusting somehow… Since when did the term ”paedophile ring” morph into ”grooming gang”? It would appear that the latter seems only to apply when the perpetrators are of a non-white ethnicity, but paedophiles are exactly what they are and always will be. The victims were all aged from 10yrs – 15yrs old.

Well I don’t know if you saw any of the footage online but Tommy Robinson and his supporters did a fantastic job in Telford yesterday. Meanwhile, these were the pitiful nobhead counter-protestors. And this is the problem, in my opinion. The amount of natives who are nothing but out and out traitors to the people. It’s not even the Muslims in and of themselves exclusively, but the Leftards right the way from the politicians and judiciary to the regular folk on the street. We saw with the scamdemic years how readily ordinary people will shaft their fellow citizens and it’s exactly the same with other agendas, including the immigration/invasion agenda. These people are treacherous and delusional;

”Far-left activists from the ‘Stand Up To Racism’ organization hold a protest in Telford, UK against British activist @TRobinsonNewEra
holding a march against child trafficking gangs.

Dozens of activists attempted to disrupt Robinson and the several thousands British citizens who had gathered to raise awareness of around 1,000 young teen girls who had been trafficked and abused by Pakistani grooming gangs over several decades.”

Yeah, the whole “racist far-right extremists” narrative is crumbling, especially now that Elon owns Twitter and let everyone back in, especially Tommy Robinson. Now everyone that wants to see can see what he’s saying, rather than consuming second and third hand opinions. I recently watched his documentary on the Ellie Williams scandal and it was quite something to see. The courts forced him to shut up and the media just attacked him relentlessly, saying he was there to stoke racial tensions. Here were are, couple of years later, and it turns out the media was stoking racial tensions and the only one there that found out the truth and sided with the victims was Tommy Robinson. But whereas the media was quick to create hatred towards him, now no one is reporting that he got it right and was silenced, and they were allowed to spew out their lies.

So too will this come to light, some day. When they started publishing news about grooming gangs, no one acknowledged that they demonized Tommy for saying the same things. To this day they still call him a racist over saying the same things they said, only much earlier.

The truth will out. But after how long a wait?

Well done for even mentioning the heroic Tommy Robinson. I’m astonished that he is still standing up for British children, after all that he and his courageous wife and family have suffered. I can’t forget Nigel Farage denouncing him as “scum” or some such word a few years ago. I was shocked.

A more obvious example of the utter contempt the people of Westminster House have for the people of this country would be difficult to find.

Why is this man’s MP not making a song and dance about this? Let’s guess, it’s a Labour MP elected on the strength of the mullahs harvested postal vote and wouldn’t want to upset the muzzies now would we?

I am sure the absolute depths have not been plumbed yet but for establishment cowardice this takes some beating. As skinner points out the threat to this man must be removed. An announcement should be made, tantamount to a declaration of local war, that if anyone makes a move against this man or his family then the perp and every single relative will be on the next plane to Pakistan and the courts be damned.

#uck ’em!

You’re right, hux. The thing is, it’s not just a reflection of how messed up and incompatible their culture is, but it’s a reflection of *our* culture in how the authorities deal with things such as in the article, the organized paedo predators etc, which just goes to highlight how massively messed up the West is when it comes to all things Islam.
Another thing that’s p’ing me off ( and I could be wrong but it seems to be more of a thing since Oct 7th ) is all of this praying on the streets and in public places, such as on trains/planes, in the aisles, and basically being an all round inconvenience to others. As if there aren’t enough mosques in western countries now! But I know exactly why they’re doing it…
Meanwhile, this from Italy yesterday, when the terrorist-supporting rape-apologist mob hit the streets, deliberately disrespecting Holocaust Memorial Day despite being warned in advance.

”Italian Riot Police use batons against a largely Muslim mob of pro-Palestinian protesters who held an anti-Israel rally on Holocaust Memorial Day.

The Italian government had banned all protests on the anniversary of The Holocaust out of respect for the Jewish community.”

Whatever the multiculturalists say, we have our eyes. We see and read that is Islam is the most powerful, hateful ideology in any society it enters.
I know it personally from 7/7 and the separate murders of friends and people I knew such as Andreas Liveras and Alex Pigeard.
On top of that I see how it has instilled fear of central London in my Jewish neighbours and led to heroic behaviour on the part of a friend’s daughter at the Supernova Festival in Israel.
Is this comment Islamophobic? No,it is the distillation of my experience and reading of the Koran and Hadith.

As someone once said, “It’s not Islamo-phobia, because we are not afraid.
It’s Islamo-nausea, because the whole world is sick of Islam.”

We sure are. And there’s evidence from all over online to back that statement up. But the treacherous, conniving Leftards keep banging on about the so-called ”far-right” being the real threat. What it is though is that their plans and power are under threat because people are demonstrably waking up to their shenanigans and sick to the back teeth of it all.

I am perplexed that so many people are against the building of a new mosque. I think it should be the goal of everyone living here to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus the new mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.
That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one, which would be gay, “The Turban Cowboy”, and the other, a topless bar, would be called, but “You Mecca Me Hot”.
Next door should be a butcher shop specialising in pork, and adjacent to that an open pit barbecue pork restaurant called, Iraq of Ribs”. Across the street there could be a sexy lingerie shop called, “Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret” with sexy mannequins modelling the wares, and next door an off license called, “Morehammered”.
All this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us.
(Not mine, pinched from a fb post)
