The French Show Us How to Deal With Eco-Loon Protesters Blocking Roads

by Will Jones
27 May 2023 3:00 PM

Paris police showed their U.K. counterparts how to deal with road-blocking eco-loon protesters as they used tear gas and baton charges to stop activists disrupting oil giant Total’s annual general meeting. The Mail has more.

Just Stop Oil claimed a propaganda victory yesterday after the BBC’s Chris Packham attended one of its ‘slow march’ demonstrations.

But as the wildlife presenter met activists holding up traffic in London, across the Channel the French were dealing with another eco protest in a manner very different from the British police’s softly-softly approach.

Paris police used tear gas and baton charges to stop climate change demonstrators disrupting oil giant Total’s annual general meeting.

Officers acted decisively when hundreds of mainly young protesters staged a sit-in outside the Salle Pleyel, a conference centre in central Paris.

The protesters sat across access roads, locking arms and legs to form a human barricade in an attempt to prevent shareholders entering the meeting. One banner held up by the demonstrators read: “The science is clear but Total is ignoring it.”

A witness said: “When the protesters refused to move, tear gas canisters were fired, while police wearing body armour moved in. There were scuffles and attempted arrests, and very soon the whole area was covered in tear gas, so people had to get away.”

While the clashes in Paris were going on, Chris Packham was at the Strand in central London to film and interview Just Stop Oil activists for a Channel 4 documentary on non-violent protests.

It came a day after the controversial campaigners provoked widespread condemnation for vandalising a Chelsea Flower Show garden with orange paint.

Worth reading in full.

“BBC’s Chris Packham attended one of its ‘slow march’ demonstrations.”

Non violent doesn’t mean harm free! Many suffer because of these idiots

sack him! This is what we pay the licence fee for? This is the BBC’s idea of non bias is it? Abolish the biased broadcasting company!
What more is needed to prove what these ba#%^ds at the bbc are involved in?

According to the story in The Mail, he was working for Channel 4 at the time as well.

It’s ironic that Packham and Attenborough would unlikely have had such successful careers if it were not for fossil fuels. They’ve had the pleasure of travelling the world but now you can’t travel across town.

And the Dutch police against the E.R lot. They do seem to have come prepared though. Gorgeous day to play with water today mind. Not sure how many settings water cannons have but they could do with turning it up a notch or three I think. Blast them into next week.

Stop Press: Brendan O’Neill in the Spectator says we need to start talking about Just Stop Oil’s class privilege.

A survey of the 6,000 XR people who brought London to a standstill in April 2019 found they were ‘overwhelmingly middle-class [and] highly educated’.

Highly educated in what? Languages? Humanities? Classics? Or the number-based sciences?

I sense the more appropriate description would be “overwhelmingly middle-class and expensively educated”!

Packham is a fascist.

The BBC is a socialist fascist organisation.

Until the public sector is reformed, root and branch and the Packhams of this world are returned to the obscurity their lack of talent truly merits, this country will continue on its perverse march towards disintegration.

Our police would go down on both knees for them.

And then stamp on your head if you objected.

But let’s face it, it’s all a pantomime. Western governments are in lockstep, marching to the same tune. They are greedy, rotten and corrupt, lie as easily as they breathe, despise the indigenous, inflict mass immigration against our will, favour an ever-growing state and high taxes, and demand complete control over our bodies and our lives.

But never mind, a new series of Love Island starts soon.

Time to give Always the Target treatment, ladies? To say this is both ridiculous and insulting would be an understatement.

”A leading brand of sanitary products has been accused of ‘dehumanising’ women by referring to girls as ‘bodies with female sex organs’ in a pamphlet explaining puberty to children.
The guidance produced by Always also faced charges that it was attempting to ‘erase’ women by avoiding the use of the word ‘girls’.
The pamphlets are included in ‘puberty kits’ containing period pads and panty liners the brand sends to schools to give to pupils.
The 22-page booklet, entitled a ‘Puberty and Confidence Guide for Everyone’, details both female and male puberty developments but at no point mentions ‘boys’ or ‘girls’, instead using ‘people’ or ‘person’.
In a section on the menstrual cycle, the guide says: ‘Every month, bodies with female sex organs prepare for pregnancy.”’

We know the police are willing to do what the French do to protestors because they did it to freedom protestors during the criminal assault on our liberty from 2020 onwards. Difference is, the ecoloons seem to be protected by a political class view that the ecoloons are right but their actions are ‘well intentioned, but too much.’

In fact, they’re vicious anarchists and a proper police force would take the ecoloons down for the rabid dogs they are!

Also, just going by my own limited observations of the loonies’ footage from multiple protests, ( inc the plonkers who pull mental stunts like gluing themselves to art work and pouring soup over themselves ) why are they always white? Well that’s the over-riding impression I get. These eco nutjobs aren’t terribly culturally diverse are they, and if I’m right in my observation it means that the protesters don’t exactly represent the feelings of society as a whole. Especially when you look at somewhere as diverse as London or over here at The Hague. Maybe I’m mistaken but I think I’ve seen more people of colour on an episode of Midsommer Murders than an Extinction Rebellion gathering.

I think part of the problem is Greta Thunberg. Eco-advocacy used to be tied up with ‘serious’ figures like Al Gore and David Attenborough: it was people standing at the side of the road waving banners. Since that mentally ill, foul-mouthed child came on the scene, it’s become about throwing paint and food, gluing oneself to the pavement, jay walking and so on: it’s childish, immature, yobbish and moronic. it’s also dangerously effective, because the police get the protestors cups of coffee rather than beating the crap out of them and dragging them, battered, bloody and bruised, into prison vans.

And they need to change the law so armed security guards can patrol outside companies. The people who threw paint at the Chelsea Flower Show should have been shot as soon as they started.

I contrast the way the UK police dealt with those who protested against the Covid mandates and those of the Just stop oil.Clearly the Police have their own little favourite protesters.

The brainwashed dreamers say “The science is clear.”—–Actually the “Science” isn’t clear at all. ——–The most basic parameter that determines whether there will be much in the way of warming going forward or whether there will not, is UNKNOWN . ——-ECS–(Equilibrium Climate Sensitivity) . This determines how sensitive the earth’s climate will be to rising levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. If the number for this is high we will get some warming. If the number is low then we won’t get much at all. If we were to look objectively at the evidence we see that CO2 levels have been increasing but there has not been much in the way of warming at all in the last 20 years. This prompted von Storch of the IPCC to say a few years ago that “There must be something wrong with our models as a 20 year pause in global warming does not occur in a single one of them”. Well that 20 year period has come and gone and there has been hardly any warming. This ofcourse does not mean there is no such thing as global warming. But it certainly means that saying the “the science is clear” is a statement coming from people who either don’t know what they are talking about or who are motivated by something other than finding scientific truth.——–But remember , models are not actually science, and it is models which have all been wrong so far that activists and proponents of dangerous global warming refer to as “the science”

We’re up against not only individuals like Pakkers but also a style of journalism. Human interest and emotional incontinence has always helped sell newspapers and now does the same for TV ratings. The BBC was set up to educate and inform as well as to entertain but seems to have allowed entertainment to dictate how they fulfil the other two objectives. TV programmes which deal with difficult and complex issues in an objective rather than subjective manner may never have widespread appeal but that isn’t, or should not be, the point.

Plod protects JSO and allows them to cause highly publicised havoc because their political masters have instructed them to do so. It makes it easier for them to justify all the net zero nonsense they’re inflicting upon us. It really is as simple as that.

I’m thinking if more protesters were black the clowns in uniform would just get down before them on their knees and grovel ( they’ve got form, after all ) which really would be the final proof of just how corrupt and embarrassing they’ve become. Considering also their embracing of the Woke cult and love of rainbow everything, could they be any more of a shameful national laughing stock?
