Joe Rogan Gained Two Million Subscribers After Being Accused of Spreading COVID-19 Misinformation

by Toby Young
24 April 2022 3:30 PM

The podcast host Joe Rogan claims that his subscribers actually increased when he was criticised for spreading COVID-19 misinformation. The Independent has more.

In February, Rogan found himself at the centre of a controversy after hosting a podcast guest who claimed that Americans were “hypnotised” into wearing masks and getting vaccines.

Footage then re-emerged online showing Rogan repeatedly using the N-word on old episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience. Rogan apologised, telling his followers: “There’s nothing I can do to take that back – I wish I could.”

While Spotify removed 113 episodes of the podcast from its catalogue, they remained loyal to the podcaster amid calls to remove the show completely.

However, hosting his podcast on Friday (April 22nd), Rogan claimed that his number of subscribers hadn’t been negatively affected by the controversy and that he’d gained two million subscribers at its height.

His guest, British writer and political commentator Douglas Murray, said to Rogan: “You have been put through the wringer since we last met. They did a number on you.”

“They did. It’s interesting, my subscriptions went up massively – that’s what’s crazy,” he said.

“During the height of it all, I gained two million subscribers.”

Worth reading in full.

Misinformation. A truly subjective word and concept designed to crush free speech. Who fact checks the fact checkers? Who stops powerful establishment organisations like the BBC from re-writing the past, distorting the present and controling our futures?
We are now in such a state that any outlandish ideas are acceptable – except for ideas that the powerful deem are not. What a mess.

Wikipedia, that bible of the internet, likes to refer to people who spread “false” information, “propaganda” and “conspiracy theories”.

The message is clear: explore no further. You are about to encounter the “fringe”, and you don’t want to go there, do you? Stay within the bounds, citizen – we will choose your reading and your viewing for you.

‘Wikipedia’ is controlled and censored by the Extreme Left.

No, it’s controlled by the companies which now largely run the world.
Its co-founder disowned it a decade ago, not that many people who rely on the Guardian or BBC seem aware of this.

People who confuse ‘the Extreme Left’ and the world’s 2,700 billionaires should possibly take some time to educate themselves.

“organisations like the BBC from re-writing the past, distorting the present and controling our futures”

I noticed by chance when looking at sports news that the BBC is launching a sustainable sports award, whatever the hell that is. They are a political and social campaigning organisation now – they serve the public and fulfill their charter only in so far as the have to allow them to continue getting huge revenue and the power of being the state broadcaster.

That I did not know, though it doesn’t surprise. They are trying, it seems to me more or less single-handedly, to popularise various women’s sports like football and cricket that massively less popular than the men’s equivalent. Sport is just an entertainment business, at the elite/professional level, and no sport has a right to be handsomely paid. Idiots and charlatans.

See the building legal storm awaiting Twitter exposing conspiratorial collusion at the highest level to censor and block conservative thought and individuals around the world.

Will it be allowed to surface as Musk continues his battle? Ask Dr Shiva.

“Conspiracy”? Only the biggest imaginable!

Actually there are two words slung around which gives an important insight.

Misinformation: this is relaying something that the speaker has mistaken or misunderstood. It is not malice or intended to deceive. This is much of what happens in the public arena by ordinary citizens.

Disinformation: this is deliberately relaying something known to be incorrect with the intent to deceive, or maliciously. It is usually done by Government, Commentators in the media and ‘experts’. The Russia/Trump collusion, the mRNA therapy is safe and effective & will stop you getting disease, wearing masks protects others.

Ooh what a surprise, a paywall article. Again. But anyways, I’m made up for Rogan. He’s had the last laugh after all that palarver. A two-fingered salute to the censors and Big Tech right there!

Just press ‘Esc’ as the article loads, literally just before the screen shows, and that does the trick. Might take you a few tries but it works.

So many people write letters to the Telegraph as if everything that is going on is normal but is is not. You cannot really believe that politicians care about you. They don’t. Boris Johnson is no Conservative. He does not love this country or its people. All the Western leaders are far left Globalists who hate their countries and their people and have spent two years destroying them with lockdowns, vaccines and masks.
Don’t just sit there complaining, change the world!

Those who are drawn to politics are inevitably those who are least suited to it. That politicians don’t care about the people they claim to represent has been a truism for quite some time. Its only now that (some) people are starting to wake up to it.

This makes sense, Neil Young is the modern Mary Whitehouse so it’s fitting that his attempt to censor Joe Rogan would result in Rogan gaining popularity.

In this respect, Joe Rogan is the Alice Cooper or Chuck Berry of Spotify….

Example of the Streisand Effect.

‘ a podcast guest who claimed that Americans were “hypnotised” into wearing masks and getting vaccines.’

Except he claimed no such thing. He was talking about Mass Formation Psychosis and likened it to hypnotism where some are readily susceptible to it, others are not.

More media Fake News intended to smear someone and thereby discredit what they say, like the Florida ‘Don’t say gay’ legislation, which doesn’t mention ‘gay’ or sexuality, and anyone who declines to take the mRNA jungle-juice is ant-vaccination.
