The White House has tried to cover-up Joe Biden calling Donald Trump supporters “garbage” by doctoring the transcript of his remarks in a gaffe reminiscent of Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” jibe. The Mail has more.
The President was speaking to a Latino advocacy group when he made the gaffe that drew instant comparisons to Hillary Clinton’s infamous dismissal of Trump voters as “deplorables” in 2016.
“Just the other day, a speaker at [Trump’s] rally called Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage’,” Biden, 81, told a Latino advocacy group.
“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters, his demonisation of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.”
In a desperate attempt to clean up the President’s mess, a White House spokesman issued a damage-control statement that added an apostrophe to the word “supporter’s” to imply that Biden was only referring to one person – comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who made a joke about Puerto Rico being an “island of garbage”.
But Biden’s gaffe sparked immediate fury from MAGA fans, with Trump himself saying he thought it was “worse” than Clinton’s now-infamous 2016 rant.
Biden said in a cleanup statement: “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage — which is the only word I can think of to describe it.
“His demonisation of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.”
However, people on both sides of the aisle were either perplexed or outraged with the President’s statement.

There was no pandemic
The “Covid” scam affected everyone badly, in myriad ways (except for the profiteers and the architects of course)
Cherry picking of this sort is not required and it’s a rabbit hole
We don’t need a study from
the LSE to tell us this – an organisation that doubtless enthusiastically endorsed Covid restrictions and which probably thinks the remedy to this particular “problem” is some kind of intervention to help their chosen victim group
Statistics on the composition by some arbitrary criteria of a given cohort are irrelevant and meaningless
tof, I agree.
We have to stop looking at aspects of the Scamdemic years in isolation. Lockdowns were only part of the operation against us. Another aspect of the war is “gender equality.” Oh do firk off, this is complete BS. And even if some mythical gender pay gap existed in the scheme of things it’s hardly top ten material.
Bloody hell we have a treasonous executive itching to put their names to a nation destroying Pandemic Preparedness Treaty and for some reason women’s earnings compared to men’s are an issue. What a load of crap.
If we do end up falling for the Davos Deviants playbook then women earning five pounds an hour less than men will hardly be of any concern.
Frankly this is a CGAF matter.
Indeed
The firm I help run tries to maximise profits for the shareholders (which is basically all the staff) by doing good work and treating our staff well. I have no idea what our “gender” or any other pay gap is. What would we measure it against? We are 70 or so individuals with different skills, strengths and weaknesses working in a niche market. We happen to be a mixture of ages, sexes, religions, and races – all of which is entirely accidental and incidental. If there is “unconscious bias” how could it be detected and remedied (assuming a remedy is required) and how would you know that the “bias” was to do with other factors such as personality or whatever. A huge rabbit hole.
My only complaint about the mix of colleagues is that almost all of them are Covidians!
Cheers tof. Love your last sentence.
Fortunately the Boss Man was a sceptic so we had no official Covid bollocks
~615,000 work in the city. The top 1% of the city’s earners equates to 6150. 19.7% pre-pandemic to 19.4% post is a drop of 0.3% of 6150, so 18 women. Eighteen who have dropped out for one of any number of reasons. Hardly news. This is a non-story to create more conflict between the sexes, and get a particular demographic hot under the collar.
Women don’t exist anyways. Isn’t this story transphobic? What if men are identifying as women? Are they counted in those ‘hurt’ by the greatest epidemic in history ? How many trans-men are in the top jobs in the city? None. This is utterly racist and phobic. Shaming. And should be a priority of the next uni-party dictatorship. etc etc. / BBC reports.
Off-T
Only slightly.
This utter degenerate woman, and husband, believe it is within their rights to ruin the flight of all passengers because their daughter has a Nut allergy.
Well if we need any more proof of the mind-numbing “saintliness” of the BBC and its freelance tax-dodging employees I don’t know where we will find it.
Tip for you you miserable inoperative – if your daughter is likely to inconvenience three hundred others when travelling you need to book your own climate change free plane or stay at home. You are not special you are a bloody weight dragging society down.
Try walking.

Utterly ridiculous of the parents to try to enforce this.
What happens if the go to a cinema? Are all the patrons asked not to eat nuts for the duration of the film. Same goes for restaurants etc.
I do not wish to diminish the sevserity of anaphylaxis but come on – there has to be a limit.
Having had first hand experience of taking a child with a nut allergy to a party and attempting to check, double check and remind the hostess about the nut allergy only to find another parent had brought a dish with nuts in made me realise that controlling the world is very very difficult. Although it did also make me compassionate to parents and people with this affliction (which I suspect is caused by tampering with the immune systems of babies via vaccination?)

Difficult to find fault with his diagnosis.
