I work for a niche energy company which does a lot of its business with local authorities and housing associations. Anyone who has been in the position of attempting to get work off those sort of organisations will know what I’m talking about.
For those who don’t, it turns out that as well as slotting into public procurement exercises the usual social value gimmicks, LGBT quotas and DEI nonsense, many of these organisations are obviously now also asking for proof of commitment to green policies so they can claim credit for it as they strive for Net Zero. To even bid for the work, you need to have some badge or other showing your genuflection to the Green God.
