J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk have been named in a cyberbullying complaint made by Imane Khelif, the genetic male who won a gold medal at the Olympics after beating a series of women. The Times has more.
The Algerian boxer confirmed through her lawyers that she had contacted France’s anti-online hatred centre at the Parisian public prosecutor’s office.
“JK Rowling and Elon Musk are named in the lawsuit, among others,” Khelif’s French lawyer, Nabil Boudi, said. “[Donald] Trump tweeted, so whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution.”
Khelif became a national hero in Algeria when she won the welterweight gold medal against Yang Liu of China on Friday. She had been disqualified from last year’s world championships by the Russian-dominated International Boxing Association, which ran Olympic boxing until 2019 and said tests had shown she had XY chromosomes. The boxer, 25, said the “media frenzy” that followed “harms human dignity”. After winning gold, she said that she was a “woman and I am very proud”.
Her legal action says most of the alleged cyberbullying was posted on Twitter/X, some of it allegedly amplified by the platform’s biggest users.
Rowling posted a picture from Khelif’s 46-second fight against the Italian boxer Angela Carini to her 14 million followers, accusing her of being a man who was “enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head”.
Musk, who owns X, shared a post from the swimmer Riley Gaines that claimed “men don’t belong in women’s sports”. Trump posted a message with a picture from the fight with Carini accompanied by the message: “I will keep men out of women’s sports!”
Boudi said that although the complaint mentions names, “what we’re asking is that the prosecution investigates not only these people but whoever it feels necessary. If the case goes to court, they will stand trial.”

Stop Press: According to the Mail, Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling could face five-year prison terms and fines of up to £214,000 if Khelif wins her case against them.

“She had been disqualified from last year’s world championships by the Russian-dominated International Boxing Association”
Why does it matter if it was Russian dominated?
Tipped their own hand there I think.
I can’t quite get my head around the idea that a man or a very very masculine woman who has made a career from punching the crap out of women is claiming to be abused by some online comments.
Every day there’s something to remind you that the world is reaching new levels of collective insanity.
This career rests on being allowed to punch the crap out of women in future as well. And publically claiming that Khelif’s sporting achievements are not achievements at all but accidental effects of rare sex organ deformation is obviously not conductive to that.
Those whom the gods seek to destroy they first make mad!
If they acknowledge XY advantages they also undermine trans-cheats.
This article features an interview with a Bulgarian female boxer who trained with Khelif. It gets even more ridiculous what they’re expecting us to believe. Khelif is supposed to be a woman and a Muslim, but wears normal attire for boxing, no covering up like other Muslim female athletes I’ve seen at the Olympics, carried around and hugged by the male trainers, even every picture I’ve seen of Khelif outside of boxing he’s dressed as a man, but we’re expected to believe he’s a Muslim woman. The IOC is corrupted with Woketards. I’m just happy to hear Seb Coe is taking over from Mark Adams, who is stepping down next year as Director of the IOC, and Coe is not a Woketard and is outspoken about protecting women’s sports;
”The issue of Khelif’s sex came up during the Sofia training session, with members of the Algerian National Team apparently playing defense for Khelif and insisting to other participants that he was a woman who had somehow been biologically altered by living in the mountains.
“[Khelif’s] teammates came to me and told me ‘Imane is not a man. She is a woman and just lives high in the mountains with her relatives and parents and so there may be a change in her testosterone or chromosomes and the like,’” Nwamerue says. “So myself and my coach watched [Khelif] and I said ‘that can’t be possible.’ Everywhere has people living in the mountains. It’s absurd.”
Nwamerue adds that her coach replied incredulously, questioning the “mountain” theory of Khelif’s physical abnormalities by noting that other world and European boxing federations had implemented bans on him, and that “only the Olympics” was allowing Khelif to compete.
Speaking to Radio Marca, Rafa Lozano, former Olympic boxer and the Technical Commissioner of the Spanish boxing team, stated that at a training camp in Spain, Khelif caused injuries to every woman he fought.
“They were doing a retreat at Blume and we couldn’t put [Khelif] with anyone. We put [Khelif] with Jennifer Fernandez and it hurt her. Whoever we put [Khelif] with was injured.”
The situation became so dire that the team found it necessary to place Khelif with a male boxer during sparring matches in order to “make it even.”

Interesting points about the covering up and the hugging.
Lots of commenters who’ve lived in the Middle East speaking up about this and how it’s so at odds with their own experiences;
”This picture bespeaks the entire festering lie that Imane is a ‘woman’.
When I lived in the Middle East, despite trying very hard, I could not get a personal trainer.
Because:
1. The manager of my compound refused to allow a man to (possibly) be in the gym alone with me.
2. PTs I approached said that as a woman, they were not permitted to touch my body.
3. It wasn’t even permissible to shake the hands of my husband’s male colleagues at company events. They made the very charming ‘hand over the heart’ gesture instead.
The Algerians and the @iocmedia
are filthy, opportunistic, liars.
No Muslim woman would ever allow this.
And no Muslim man would show such disrespect to a Muslim woman.
This is akin to a desecration of her body.”

”And this! His head right in where his breasts would be if he was a woman. They all know he is a man. Gaslighting.”

If anybody should be suing it ought to be the female boxers suing the IOC for enabling this fraud to take place at all because they’ve been cheated out of their rightful achievements and now this sets a precedent for female events at the Olympics in future. Unless Seb Coe comes to the rescue, that is. Here he is talking sense;

So men are allowed to compete against women but this Indian female wrestler was disqualified for being a few GRAMS overweight at her weigh-in. Because that surely does qualify as cheating in comparison, FFS! But not to worry, there’s a male Italian partially-sighted runner competing in the Paralympics women’s event who started transitioning in 2019, so he’s definitely a ‘she’ by now, right?
”In a heartbreaking turn of events, Vinesh Phogat has been disqualified from the Paris 2024 Olympics Wrestling competition for being overweight in the women’s 50kg category on the morning of her gold medal bout on Wednesday.
At Paris 2024, each weight category is organised over two competition days. The medical control and weigh-in for each category takes place in the morning of the first competition day. On the second competition day, wrestlers who have qualified for the finals and repechage are weighed in again.
“It is with regret that the Indian contingent shares news of the disqualification of Vinesh Phogat from the women’s wrestling 50kg class,” the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) said in a statement. “Despite the best efforts by the team through the night, she weighed in a few grams over 50kg this morning.”

Can we convince Mike Tyson to declare himself a woman and get in the ring with Khelif, Fair fight?
I perhaps wouldn’t suggest that to Mike
“And all the pot of petunias thought was ‘Oh no, not again!'”
‘I man Khelif’ is more accurate.
There is a clear distinction between women who are born female, and have female chromosomes, and women who are born female, and have male chromosomes: they both won Gold Medals against females with female chromosomes. So, there lies the evidence to blow any case out of the water. Almost all sports across the world have brought in the ruling that the IOC ignored because of its spat with the IBF.
From a technical point of view a female with male chromosomes is not a female regardless of their birth. The feelings of the person(s) are irrelevant.
I think this could be a landmark case with immense consequences. The question in essence is “When is a woman not a woman?”. Both boxers in question were born female but both are chromosomally male. Which matters most?
At its most extreme, which will likely be the result, it would mean that anyone with XY chromosomes must be recognised as a woman. That then means that any Government or body which denies the right of access to female spaces or sports would be breaking the Law. Completely and utterly absurd.
It would set a precedent and that matters. Anyone bringing a case could cite this case and win. I wonder if this he / she has considered what he / she is about to do? Hurty feelings cannot outweigh commonsense and safety.
The nonsense will stop when every female athlete refuses to participate.
Female boxers know what they need to do, so why don’t they?
I fully agree! It would stop it in no time at all.
The immediate effect of this would be end of career for all genuinely female athletes while the others would just plod on. This would probably solve the problem in the not too distant future as “men only” “female sporting events” would be a serious travesty, but that’s an uncertain bet on the future and on everyone else being willing to make sacrifices for it. I think that’s demanding a bit much from people who are just human and not all Jeanne d’Arcs ready to take on a world of seemingly overpowering enemies.
There are institution supposed to protect women in sport from male entryism and these women can rightfully expect them to do that. Functionaries hinting at that they know what they’re doing is wrong but that “the rules have to be followed nevertheless”, with the same functionaries being ultimatively responsible to making these rules, doesn’t cut it. They deserve to be called out as the corrupt lot they are as they’re the ones who enabled Khelif etc to win the most beautiful medals the money of their backroom sponsors could buy them.
This could be interesting if it ever comes to court. The prosecution “she identifies as female”. The defense “and what evidence do you have that she (?) is female, as I can prove he(?) is male from his genetic makeup.
Judge “She says she is female”.
Defense “Show us then!”.
Judge “I cannot allow that, it is outside the court remit, but case dismissed for lack of evidence”.
Musks lawyers requesting a chromosome test will be a doosy. Break open the popcorn
I’d say to this malignant little f*ck, ‘you’re welcome to bring your court case Mr. Khelif but as part of the deal you’ll forced to fight Tyson Fury for 4 hours every day for a year’.
If Musk & JK Rowling are named, the lawsuit should be ready to name millions of people who say the same. He’s a man, nothing can alter chromosomes, regardless of high altitude living!
Unfortunately there’s more controversy to come in the paralympics…a blind man, now a woman, competing against real women.
if you’re born male, you’re still male till you die, regardless of hormones or surgeries.
I would suggest the 2 defendants my have extremely deep pockets to defend themselves, oh and also truth, facts and evidence.
May not be the wisest of lawsuits.
I thought Donald Trump made politics the most entertaining it has ever been.
This legal action has the appearance of being a most entertaining spectator sport which trumps anything Khelif did in the ring and anything Trump did which so enlivened politics for the world.
I look forward to a second Trump presidency and to defeat for Khelif outside the ring in this legal claim.
Diddums.
