Sir Keir Starmer’s August 1st speech to the nation in the wake of the riots in places like Merseyside, London and Hartlepool following the Southport stabbings on July 29th was criticised by some for saying the square root of absolutely nothing. I disagree. I think it said quite a lot – if you were really listening.
The short, five-word summary of its import would be: “Shut up, peasants – or else!” But for those who require a more in-depth analysis, this may run as follows (Starmer’s words – lightly edited – appear in bold throughout).
This week – we are a nation in shock.
Are we? To be “in shock” would mean we first had to be surprised at what had happened. I wasn’t particularly surprised by it. Were you?
A country coming to terms with an attack so inexplicably vile, that fear is an understandable reaction.
Is “fear” the only “understandable” reaction, though? What about anger? What about disgust?
Our first thoughts of course are with the families at the heart of this. Their pain is unimaginable. And so I call on everyone to give them and indeed the wider community at Southport the space to grieve. And time for the authorities in Merseyside to do their job. There will be a time for questions.
And that time is definitely not now! Go about your everyday business and keep silent, citizens, Starmer seems to guilt-trip us all, don’t under any circumstances start asking awkward questions about what has just

The Police Commissioner for Hampshire and The Isle of Wight has spoken out to say that burning down police stations etc is not the answer, with which we could all agree.
She added

“Whilst the devastating attacks in Southport on Tuesday were a catalyst, the commonality amongst the protest groups appears to be focussed on three key areas: the desire to protect Britain’s sovereignty; the need to uphold British values, and, in order to do this, stop illegal immigration.”
I gather this common sense response has triggered a massive left wing reaction.
The Far Left seems to be totally oblivious of the obvious truth in her comments.
I despair as Starmer’s approach seems to be totally counterproductive and likely to increase rather than reduce further potentially violent protests.
An excellent summing up of a situation I can’t help feeling the government (both ships of fools) have been waiting for so that they have an excuse to implement more controls.
The police are now identified with one side in the culture wars: they indulged the perpetrators in the Rotherham grooming industry, they bow the knee to BMS and charge in full riot gear at peaceful protesters against the lockdowns, they emote over the Manchester bombings [ planned spontaneity ] they are now politicised through the policies of Whitehall, governments and the police elites. That is now the reason for attacks on the police, they are ‘them’ not ‘us’

Every word written is true, and Starmer and ilk need to remember, we didn’t ask for, nor do we want these people here, they do not, nor never will intergrate. As for calling people “right wing thugs”, shows how big the class divide is in this country, and how little they know about the people, the only “thugs” are the ones people put in power(not me!).

What is a “government of service”
It’s a superfluous expression – a pleonasm – a redundancy – verbiage – a circumlocution – a truism. All governments are governments “of service”; it’s their job to serve. Not that many modern politicians understand such an old-fashioned concept, preferring instead to stick their oar in; shove a spanner in the works – whichever expression takes your fancy. It’s Starmer performing a conjuring trick; one of the meaningless phrases that somehow sticks in the public discourse – like “minded to”, which popped up out of nowhere some years ago (John Major?) and was suddenly seen and heard everywhere (although there are better examples of the genre). Best ignored, or treated with contempt.
The simple questions are the most meaningful: What on earth did the government/media/Guardian readers expect?
The ‘far-Right’ has been all but non-existent in this country for many decades. The fact that a lot of people are suddenly behaving in ways which it suits holier-than-thou politicians and associated commentators to describe as “far-Right” should simply tell them that those famously phlegmantic British citizens, until now so sure of their national identity, have had enough. I don’t approve of chucking rocks at the police, but I certainly understand why they’re doing it. These are acts of fear, committed by people who feel righteously aggrieved but have no power to object otherwise. Those of them who, like me, can turn a fancy phrase or two, might sublimate the urge to act physically. That doesn’t make writers ‘better’ than rioters; they merely do my dirty work for me. So long as they hurt no one physically – I approve of their actions.
The general public must be made to realise and understand that the Conservative, Labour, Lib Dem parties have NEVER HAD ANY INTENTION TO LIMIT IMMIGRATION! If they had they would have come out of the ECHR and repealed the many treaties that they have signed giving refugees the right to come and live here.
Their criminally total and stupid application of climate change and net zero is another symptom of their total subjugation to the global elites in the WEF, UN, WHO etc. who demand free movement of people to level up the world’s wealth and the creation of a one world government. Their commitment to joining the EEC/EU and staying in it is another example of their push to promote a one world government. Obviously if they can destroy the UK economy in the net zero process this makes the UK all the more likely to be swallowed up by the one world government. Only the Reform and Heritage parties were against net zero and unlimited immigration in the previous election but were unfortunately not advanced enough to make a really significant impression.

The globalists thought that the appointment of Starmer would stablise the situaton when predictably it has made it far worse. They set the parameters of resistance and now they are beginning to understand that they made a grave mistake and this is just the beginning. This isn’t even real violence. You create the tinderbox and then you act all outraged when it ignites. The country, on a purely economic level is at a point where it can’t take anymore especially for the working class. I have just read that at the anti immigration rally in Belfast people were seen carrying the Union Jack and The Tricolour marching side by side. It filled my heart with joy.

The message from the Establishment is “don’t you dare take to the streets to complain about our clients murdering your children – or we’ll set the dogs on you”.

We’re still not getting it are we? There must be civil disorder that is not approved by the system. That is the only thing the elites are frightened of – the masses understanding the system is corrupt and gathering to disband it. They have to feel threatened. Society sits on the foundations of physical threat – whether it be a punch for being rude/abusive or time in prison – it’s only physical threat that can enforce a change in behaviour. I have great respect for immigrants wishing to work here, who apply for jobs, receive job offers and can exercise useful skills, but I do not understand the willingness to essentially welcome immigrants accessing these shores by illegal means, without papers, who purely wish to exploit the welfare system which was not set up for such people.
