Welcome to episode eight of the Sceptic! On the show this week, host Laurie Wastell speaks to the following Daily Sceptic contributors:
- Dr. David Livermore, microbiologist and Daily Sceptic regular, on the growing concerns about the Lucy Letby verdict and how the Daily Sceptic led the world in raising them;
- Dr. Angus Dalgleish, Emeritus Professor of Oncology at the University of London and co-signatory of the Great Barrington Declaration, on how the first report of the Covid Inquiry has blown up the establishment’s pro-lockdown consensus;
- And for those donating £5 a month or more to the Daily Sceptic, Laurie speaks to Steven Tucker, author and regular Daily Sceptic contributor, on French politics, immigration and the West’s “post-human” elites through the eyes of the celebrated French novelist Michel Houellebecq.

Well done, in particular with the interview of Dr. Dalgleish. In addition to his assessment, it seems to me that we experienced a lot of opportunistic output from various bureaucrats and associated politicians, for no good reason. A classic “something must be done” behaviour, which unfortunately had a negative effect on many of us.
Not sure about the “for no good reason”. Once the government had been coerced through international pressure into trashing its exsiting plans and implementing lockdowns, the politicians/bureacrats saw Lockdown as a heaven-sent vehicle through which they could prepare to implement policies that they’d long held dear, WFH, cashless society, UBI, travel restrictions etc etc.
I don’t have time to listen to the Dalgleish thing but I read the article from him on this a few days ago and I presume it’s the same stuff recycled.
He must have read a different report to me. I can’t find much criticism of lockdowns here: Module 1 Report ‘In Brief’ summary – The resilience and preparedness of the United Kingdom – UK Covid-19 Inquiry (covid19.public-inquiry.uk) Just waffle and nonsense about “emergencies” and a “pandemic”. If “covid” exists, it was just a cold which should have been completely ignored. Any £100million inquiry into it is just going to perpetuate the grotesque, evil pantomime.
Regarding the Letby, the recent article on Unherd (24/7/24) advances the discussion about her defence counsel’s use of expert witnesses.
As to appointments in government, personnel is policy. The appointment of Yvette ‘Take-in-10,000 Syrians’ Cooper indicates what Labour’s immigration policy will be.
And one of those Syrians was the teenager whose relentless assaults on his British classmates, sickening bold-faced lies, and support from corrupt lawyers and Leftist judges, have driven Heroic Patriot Tommy Robinson out of his ancestral homeland.
