Welcome to the Weekly Sceptic episode 97
This week Nick and Toby talk about:
- The strangeness of Biden’s announcement that he wouldn’t be seeking re-election and the inevitable conspiracy theories that it’s given rise to.
- Was Biden’s withdrawal from the Presidential race a palace coup? How much did he really know about it? Why the 15-minute gap between the announcement and his endorsement of Kamala Harris?
- Can the Democrats ever pose as the guardians of democracy again, given that it’s now obvious the elected President hasn’t been in charge and the process of selecting his successor has been so undemocratic?
- Does Kamala have a hope of beating Trump? She’s younger than Trump, but can the Dems really make age an issue in the election, given that Biden was the candidate until five minutes ago?
- Why is Kamala such a poor public speaker? Is it because she’s such an awful boss she can’t persuade anyone good to work for her?
- Have the Democrats foisted themselves with a Presidential candidate who was a diversity hire? Will this be another nail in the coffin of DEI?
- And premium content on www.basedmedia.org, which includes:
- Kim Cheatle’s resignation as Secret Service Director after a monstering in Congress and whether she could have avoided that humiliation by resigning the day after the failed assassination attempt.
- The Leeds riots and whether they are an indictment of mass immigration, as Nigel Farage and others’ have claimed.
- Everyone’s favourite section Peak Woke, in which Nick decries the punishment of a seven year-old girl for writing “All Lives Matter” and Toby weeps at the demonisation of the Prince Albert Memorial.
- And in the Based Department, the clear winner is the judge who handed out stiff jail sentences to Roger Hallam and his Just Stop Oil comrades.

Unfortunately, I don’t think the vast majority of the electorate would have a Scooby Doo what it’s about and what it’s important. Subsequently the turnout would be dire!
(Obviously not that this would ever be put to a referendum anyway)
No of course they’ll never withdraw from the ECHR, because the puppet stooges in WEFminster are getting their orders from above. If you’ve 10mins to spare here’s Ivor Cummins with all the data in a short presentation on understanding mass immigration and why it’s happening;

And here’s an excerpt from Soros’ plan, written in 2015. As you’re aware, despite the UK not being part of the EU these migrants still seem mighty keen in getting over there from mainland Europe, come hell or high water. Why is that?
”First, the EU has to accept at least a million asylum-seekers annually for the foreseeable future. And, to do that, it must share the burden fairly – a principle that a qualified majority finally established at last Wednesday’s summit.
Adequate financing is critical. The EU should provide €15,000 ($16,800) per asylum-seeker for each of the first two years to help cover housing, health care, and education costs – and to make accepting refugees more appealing to member states. It can raise these funds by issuing long-term bonds using its largely untapped AAA borrowing capacity, which will have the added benefit of providing a justified fiscal stimulus to the European economy.
Finally, to absorb and integrate more than a million asylum seekers and migrants a year, the EU needs to mobilize the private sector – NGOs, church groups, and businesses – to act as sponsors. This will require not only sufficient funding, but also the human and IT capacity to match migrants and sponsors.
The exodus from war-torn Syria should never have become a crisis. It was long in the making, easy to foresee, and eminently manageable by Europe and the international community. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has now also produced a six-point plan to address the crisis. But his plan, which subordinates the human rights of asylum-seekers and migrants to the security of borders, threatens to divide and destroy the EU by renouncing the values on which it was built and violating the laws that are supposed to govern it.”

This is the psycho that stabbed the soldier yesterday. I haven’t come across any personal details on him, such as name and nationality, and no idea how the soldier is doing. I wonder if this is yet another important news story that will fall off a cliff;
”After finally getting a picture of the attacker we got to work. We found the same man in UDINE, ITALY in May last year, which looks like he’s passing through & was caught on camera
It looks like this man has come to this country for one mission, which wasn’t with good intentions.”

I wonder if this stabbing has been co-ordinated in time for the Patriots march this Saturday 27th. You know, just a little something to raise tensions.
No idea but we deserve some info on the perp so let’s keep eyes and ears open because they’re probably going to try and memory hole this, like that alleged gang rape in the Morrison’s car park in Rochdale involving four school boys. What the hell happened to that? It was reported all over the place then nothing, just crickets ever since.
Meanwhile, despite the supposed clean-up of the tent cities etc, Paris is definitely still not looking appealing to me, nor will it ever, I think;
”The Olympics hasn’t even started yet and already this week in Paris we’ve had…
An Australian tourist allegedly gang-raped by five men she described as being of African descent.
Two tech staff covering the Games for Australia’s Channel Nine news brutally beaten during an attempted robbery.
A student peacekeeper assigned to Paris as part of the Games sexually assaulted on a train in the middle of the afternoon.
A Senegalese migrant shot dead by police near the Champs-Élysées after lunging at the officer chasing him in connection with the murder of a teenager.”

”Olympic athletes in Paris are being told not to leave their compounds alone or draw attention to themselves after a spate of recent attacks on tourists, peacekeepers, and news crews covering the Games.”

Certainly got a sun tan on those hands. My bet is that he’s ‘religion of peace.’
Some good news, however. But if this was in Germany then all countries should follow suit. I mean, logically, a country is either deemed safe or it isn’t. Let’s get rid, I say!
”A court in Germany has ruled that there is no longer a general danger to all civilians in Syria, and that a convicted Syrian people smuggler can legally be deported to his home country. The ruling could significantly impact deportation cases, because the German government has so far classified Syria as an unsafe country of origin and rejects deporting failed asylum seekers there.
Support for resuming deportations to both Syria and Afghanistan has increased after a spate of violent knife attacks in recent months, and the murder of a policeman by an Afghan failed asylum seeker. However, despite the leftist-liberal government vowing to deport dangerous criminals, it hasn’t followed through with actions.
There are close to one million Syrians living in Germany. Most of them fled the Syrian civil war that began in 2011. Syrians have been the largest group of asylum seekers in Germany: in 2024, around 38,000 Syrians applied for asylum, followed by 20,000 Afghans in second place.”

I suspect we would lose such a referendum condemning us to decades more of the same tyranny.

Well his hands are well tanned if nothing else. Definitely Religion of Peace.
Our Political class all over Europe brought this multi cultural disaster upon us and will never be held accountable for the rapes, murders, terrorism, social unrest, and erasure of our culture and National Identity.
Given that the Brexit referendum went against the views of most politicians the chances of them giving us another one on any issue are vanishingly small. Obviously the vast majority of politicians don’t want to be shown to be out of touch with popular opinion.
