For the benefit of everyone and specifically those asking yesterday, above the “you are logged in as” legend immediately above the comments there is a subscribe option to get email notifications when comments are added, and also when you reply next to the reply input box there is a notify icon which used to send you an email when someone replied to that comment- until it seemed to stop working.
I find it useful- it allows a dialogue without having to recheck pages you’ve already read – and dialogue is what this site is about, for me.
Thanks, tof, I never noticed this functionality! Wanted it for ages for all the reasons you give. Will see if it works for me.
Does it work for you?
Nope. No emails.
Thanks – I will chase Will. The comments section on this site is pretty moribund, present company excepted. We get more comments in a day on the little subreddit that formed when the current at the time set of BTL commenters fled from the “toxic swamp” back in the day. I think this feature might help to keep it alive.
Good to know, thanks ToF. I’ve been using this site since they upgraded it and never noticed this.
https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/integrate-but-dont-assimilate-how-muslims-follow-orders/
This is the real problem. The solution, until we have these ingratiates under control is to ban islam. So probably forever otherwise it will be sectarian mayhem.
Cracking article, hux. Nails it 100%. As we know, it’s all about the conquering. It’s in their DNA. Why else would they be making such efforts to bring into a once free and democratic, predominantly Christian society a repressive, archaic, patriarchal culture and set of values that hasn’t changed ( albeit now with fire arms and explosives ) in 1400 years? They’d leave that sh*t back in the Muslim lands, if they were truly to embrace the freedoms that a Western society provides, would they not? Nobody’s asking them to start celebrating Christmas but their ultimate objective is to form an Islamic State and live under Sharia and if you don’t like it you can live in complete subjugation as a dhimmi.
This is why I keep referring to the so-called ‘moderates’ and where does their loyalty lie. The protests commencing the Oct 7th attack in Israel provides a decent insight. Six months on and I’ve given up looking for a banner that calls for the freeing of the hostages or ”Free Palestine from Hamas”, because they obviously don’t exist. We know what these people are about, they’ve made no secret of their attitude towards Israel or the West. Six+ months on and these gatherings of hateful, hostile yobs are not only going strong but they’ve escalated, especially now we see the universities getting involved ( shamefully, even many staff members ) plus how yet another war in the Middle East is influencing politics in Western nations. Well it’s largely because of the amount of Islam we have now in our countries, many of whom are in positions of authority now.
People say, ”But it’s a conflict many miles away and we shouldn’t be so invested. We’ve more priorities closer to home”, but how can we separate ourselves from it when the Muslims that live here have placed what’s happening with Israel-Gaza as front and centre to their political stance, and being voters they collectively have a lot of clout? Since Oct 7th I think they’ve made it plain as day where their loyalties lie ( as have the politicians and police ) and it’s not with the countries that they reside in or the natives that they live amongst.
So integration and assimilation? It’s all a charade, for the vast majority. Some are more obvious than others, the Choudreys and the Alis, but it’s my opinion most have a facade that they maintain on a day to day basis then something kicks off, as in this latest conflict, then we see them for exactly what they are. The thing is, the 2 million Israeli Arabs show us that it is entirely possible to be tolerant and live peacefully. Are they not the prime example of integration and assimilation? Many even volunteer to serve in the IDF when they aren’t obliged to, unlike everybody else. Such is their loyalty to their country. They demonstrably oppose extremism and terrorism more than many Western natives, shockingly. But over here in Europe the Muslims form clans, build caliphates and parallel societies, showing zero signs of tolerance or respect for our countries’ values, laws, traditions and people. Too much Islam, that’s what it amounts to, with no signs of improvement on the horizon.
“It’s in their DNA.”
Except for those apostates-turned-social-media-influencers that provide a supposedly authoritative source of quotes and critiques of Islam?

Can’t disagree with Stan Robinson here;
”Mad As A Nation.
Great Britain is changing beyond recognition. The country that once stood as a beacon of stability, cultural heritage, and cohesive identity is now being torn apart by unchecked immigration and the relentless march of multiculturalism. It is time we faced this harsh reality with the seriousness it demands.
Student visas have become an unchecked gateway, allowing thousands to enter the country under the guise of education, only to overstay their welcome and contribute to the burgeoning pressures on our public services. It is not xenophobic to suggest that we severely restrict these visas; it is a matter of national interest. Our universities, once the pride of the nation, now too often serve as mere stepping stones for those with no intention of returning home.
The issue of illegal immigration is even more pressing. Our borders, once robust, have become permeable, allowing a steady influx of individuals who flout our laws and exploit our welfare system. The sentimentality that has paralysed our response to this crisis must be set aside. Deporting those who have entered illegally is not only a legal necessity but a moral imperative. It sends a clear message that Britain is not a soft touch, that we value the rule of law, and that we are willing to defend our sovereignty.
Repatriating undesirables is another necessary step. Those who seek to undermine our society, who bring with them ideologies that are antithetical to our values, must not be allowed to remain. We must remember that our duty is to our citizens first and foremost. The social contract that binds us together as a nation is predicated on a shared sense of responsibility and common purpose. Those who reject this must be shown the door.
In the end, it is about preserving the essence of what makes Britain great. Our history, our culture, our way of life – these are not mere relics of the past but the very foundation upon which we build our future. If we allow them to be eroded, we risk losing not only our identity but our nation itself. Now is the time for decisive action. Now is the time to reclaim Great Britain.”

10 reasons why this evil, mass-murdering PoS was referred to as ‘The Butcher of Tehran’. But this is what the UN approve of, seemingly. Sick, twisted Mother Hubbards. What next? A minutes silence on the anniversary of Hitler’s death?

It’s the UN Security Council and they will be following protocol. To not do so, particularly now, may have diplomatic consequences.
However, the permanent members of the Council have quite a combined history of violence so maybe they’re paying honour to the passing of a kindred spirit.
King Charles in crosshairs as African leaders fight hunting ban
Yet another example of how hopelessly muddled, dim, the social media classes are.
Incapable of reading or writing anything longer than two sentences, their superficial, facile, view of the world cannot comprehend the notion of rural villages populated by subsistence farmers for whom a giant betusked elephant is not a jolly pink jumbo with fairy wings. That thought, any thinking at all really, simply causes their tiny little heads, pea brains to explode.
The only people who can protect threatened wildlife are those who live alongside them; and they will only protect those creatures if they themselves are permitted to protect themselves from the worst excesses of local over-populations of certain species.
That means trophy hunting. If we want to help developing nations, particularly those that have helped us in the recent past, then we must listen to them.
If the Commonwealth has a role, that surely is it.
A chilling cover-up’ – nine key findings from the infected blood inquiry
Ministers’ refusal to own up to failings “served to compound people’s suffering”
Victims’ suffering was compounded by the lack of a meaningful apology, and a cover-up culture in the NHS and the government. Ministers “cruelly” repeated the line from Margaret Thatcher in 1989 that “they had received the best treatment available” and therefore compensation was not required.
Langstaff criticised the government response as characterised by “a lack of transparency and candour” and “groupthink” among civil servants and ministers over decades. This was “damaging to the public interest”.
He also warned of the “slow and protracted nature” of government decision-making.
The report confirms there was a government cover-up of the scandal, not in the sense of an orchestrated conspiracy, but rather “to save face and to save expense”. This included the “deliberate destruction of documents of relevance”.
There was a “defensive closing of ranks” within the NHS.
A COVER UP CULTURE IN THE NHS; GROUPTHINK AMONG CIVIL SERVANTS AND MINISTERS OVER DECADES.
The culture within the ranks of senior administrators within the NHS and Whitehall is now, by any measure, a national disgrace: Socialist Fascism, about which many of us have been pointing the finger on here for some time.
Now is the time to implement in full the salient points of the IEA report ‘Universal Healthcare Without The NHS’
Now is also time for root and branch reform of Whitehall by the simple expedient of engaging a team of retired civil servants from Denmark (the Danish civil service ranks fourth globally for effectiveness and accountability) to set up a new civil service in this country modelled on that of Denmark.
This might have been mentioned already but Zelensky’s term expired yesterday. He’s reverted to pretending to be a President.

And they call the recently re-elected Putin a dictator!
‘Of course, Kremlin propagandists will do their best to amplify questions about Zelensky’s legitimacy. The narrative is an obvious one: Russian President Vladimir Putin was elected for a fifth term in Russia’s March presidential vote, while Zelensky canceled Ukraine’s elections. The fact that Russian elections are a sham is a minor detail in such narratives.’
Carnegie Endowment 03 Apr 2024
Ruslan Stefanchuk, the current Ukrainian parliamentary speaker, has already publicly confirmed, under Article 108 of the Ukrainian Constitution, that Zelensky will be acting president until elections take place.
According to a February poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, 69 percent of Ukrainians want Zelensky to continue as president until martial law is lifted.

Relentless public harassment of someone else’s daughter, wife or mother about her private medical details is not “Freedom of Speech”, you blithering idiot!
It is Relentless Harassment, with no other object than to satisfy your own Ghoulish Curiosity.
Now, aren’t you grateful to The Daily Sceptic for not publishing details of YOUR OWN PRIVATE MEDICAL PROBLEMS?
“But, but, but… Why can’t we all discuss YOUR own medical problems?” we all whine pathetically…”You must be gaslighting us to refuse! We’re all going to lie down on the floor, kicking and screaming, and then hold our breath till we turn blue, unless you let us discuss your own private medical details. And then we’ll keep harping on about it for years afterward, like a gang of obsessive stalkers.”
Isn’t it “our right”, as you repeatedly insist it is your “right” to poke your grotesquely swollen, bulbous, bloodshot olfactory appendage into someone else’s private medical details?
You’re like some querulous old nag, and a stultifying bore to boot, stalking The Princess of Wales.
Give it a rest, will you?
The article in question speculating on her medical problems is still available on this free speech promoting website. I’m not sure I commented on it as I was travelling that day but I did read some of the initial comments which did not seem to match your description.
My only concern is the censorship of the entire comments section. The fact the article is about a Windsor is of no interest to me but for all I know, might have been of significance to whoever decided to remove the comments.
A previous criticism I raised when my own comments on an unrelated article were removed was resolved and the comments re-instated.
People kept harping on about infected blood for decades, COVID vaccines have now racked-up a few years of “kicking and screaming”. If there had been less censorship and more transparency, how different things might have been.
Well done JRM for calling for a US style first amendment in the UK. I couldn’t agree more.
(As long as it’s properly worded and not twisted around like every other law in this country to keep power firmly in the hands of established power and bureaucrats.)
I think the below neatly sums up the direction of travel. They invited comments on the proposals which I responded to. Every single proposed right is littered with caveats making them utterly worthless.
US First Amendment in full:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Proposed UK Bill of Rights (introduced in 2022, currently dormant)

“Who runs Iran now? What happens when a president dies in office”
Presidents don’t run Iran. “The Supreme Leader” does.
“As of 2024, then-President Raisi and The Supreme Leader Khamenei’s son Mojtaba had been considered frontrunners for the position.” So was it Mojtaba who eliminated his only rival?
They got rid of the Shah, their hereditary monarchy, and are installing a hereditary monarchy of their own. A “dynasty”, just like the monstrous Kim family in North Korea.
