Cambridge Students Sing Genocidal Chant at Their Encampment

by Richard Eldred
7 May 2024 3:00 PM

Students from the University of Cambridge have taken to shouting the genocidal slogan ‘From the river to the sea’ and inciting an ‘intifada’ at their encampment outside King’s College. The Mail has the story.

The pro-Palestinian demonstration is being mirrored outside the Pitts Rivers museum in Oxford despite fears from Jewish students that the encampments will fuel a fresh wave of antisemitic attacks.

In Cambridge, students have been seen marching through the city to the Old Schools University Offices while chanting “Israel is a terrorist state” whilst the Oxford demonstration has a more muted, authoritarian flavour.

Media covering the event in the city have been mobbed and abused by demonstrators whilst attendees to the encampment have been told they must be “committed to upholding the Thawabit” in order to join in.

Dozens of masked campaigners spent the night sleeping in tents outside the universities and have a packed day planned featuring marches, speeches and ‘apartheid workshops’.

Leading one of the workshops in Cambridge was serial activist Stella Swain, a student who has been at the university since 2018 and previously voted against the promotion of Remembrance Day and the Poppy Appeal.

Following their march through the city, Cambridge demonstrators lounged on the lawn and tucked into a lunch of pesto pasta and focaccia bread.

In Coventry, a copycat protest to those at Oxbridge has struck up in protest of the University of Warwick’s ties with arms manufactures.

The sit-in rallies, which echo protests seen in the U.S. which later saw violent students clashing with police, have sprung up at other U.K. universities including Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Sheffield and Newcastle over the last week.

In a statement, the President of the Oxford Jewish Society said: “Since the attacks in Israel on October 7th, Jewish students across Oxford are facing a wave of intimidation and harassment.

“This includes protest chants and signs which violate the University’s commitment to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliances’ definition of antisemitism.

“Now, with the encampment seeking to mimic what has been seen across United States campuses, we are deeply concerned that there will be further escalation in the vilification of Jewish students in Oxford.”

The concern was echoed by Jewish students in Cambridge. where 60 tents have been pitched up. …

As around 200 protestors held a rally chanting anti-Israel slogans on Monday, student Ari Vladimir, 19, unfurled an Israel flag and shouted support for the country.

In a shocking outburst, one protestor is seen ripping the flag from him and tossing it to the ground as the lone Jewish student was pushed and jostled by other activists.

Mr. Vladimir told MailOnline: “I had to come here to express my support for Israel. If these people have a right to protest then so do I.

“As you saw, I didn’t feel particularly welcome. I was pushed and shoved and felt quite scared.

“But I wanted these people to know that the Jewish people will never be defeated and we stand with Israel.”

Mr. Vladimir is a first year history student at Christ’s College who comes from New York.

He said he was alone because many of his fellow Jewish students feel “intimidated”, and were too scared to join him.

“A lot of Jewish students on campus feel quite scared,” he added. “They are just keeping their heads down. But I had to take a stand.

“This encampment is going to make Jewish students even more concerned. How would you feel walking past people who are supporting Hamas?” …

No police were present at the encampment or rally, something Ari thinks would have “made him feel safer” and given more protection to counter protestors.

Ari added: “I have to walk through here all the time. I’m still recognisably Jewish and I would not feel safe.”

Worth reading in full.

Stop Press: In the Telegraph, Michael Deacon points out the brazen hypocrisy of the non-Palestinian student protesters wearing the keffiyeh. Isn’t ‘cultural appropriation’ supposed to be racist?

What on God’s f***ing earth is a genocidal chant? It’s certainly not going to kill anyone.

When you calm down a bit and have a wee think on the toilet look back on history. How do you think millions of Jews, black people, Russians, Poles, disabled and mentally ill died and why? Slogans and chants.
Look at football, especially in Scotland with the Catholic / Protestant divide, Liverpool with those who died at the Sheffield Wednesday ground. You, who can never be my friend for obvious reasons, have no real idea of which you speak. You are typical of many these days: they see a headline and are suddenly an expert. You, my non-friend, are far from an expert. Get on the toilet and think.

I hope you at least don’t really believe in this nonsense, dear run-of-the-mill abuser of those who dare to question any of it. Students chanting anything in Cambridge is – at best – relatives and fans of the middle-east losers comforting each other. At worst, it’s pointless noise people are making in the streets because they love making pointless noise.

I question everything and am hardly run of the mill. People end up dead because of people who say nothing or think that picking out a particular group is okay because it is not them.
Have a think about your statement:
“What on God’s f***ing earth is a genocidal chant? It’s certainly not going to kill anyone.”.
Now, please tell us where a chant of hatred did not result in people dying. What do you think River to the Sea means? Popcorn at the Cinema?

In Cambridge (and more generally, in the UK) it means (as I already wrote) one of two things: Either

relatives and fans of the middle-east losers comforting each other

or

pointless noise people are making in the streets because they love making pointless noise

Using genocidal in this context is exactly like that “transwomen” bicyclist claiming that excluding him from women’s competitions would amount to genocide. It’s grossly inapproriate political point-scoring.

Incidentally, what is it you are questioning from your Throne? “dear run-of-the-mill abuser of those who dare to question any of it”. What does that actually say? What question are you posing? Why do you not know? Clearly, if you did know what you are questioning you would have stated it. Instead you criticise. Why is that?

They died in totalitarian regimes that closed down free speech before they could start killing them. Third Reich is a good example. More free speech not less.

This is the number one major issue we face: freedom of speech is being closed down. The lunatics are closing every avenue of free speech down. Germany 1920 to 1936. Same type of people. They cannot prove their views so they shut everyone else up with threats.
What is happening on student campuses is the Brown Shirts, Kristallnacht all over again. They have been taught that what they say is true; they are the new Lebensborn.

Slogans and chants don’t kill anyone, they are only used as an excuse to commit a violent act by those who are looking for an excuse or weak enough to be triggered.

Some people are triggered to commit violence because a driver takes their parking place, spills their pint, looks at them in what is perceived as a funny way – almost anything.

Interesting point and correct and incorrect at the same time. Slogans are designed for two purposes 1) Intimidation 2) Incite to violence. Slogans do cause people to die. There is an old saying “The pen is mightier than the sword”. When you get the right slogan from your pen and you get people to chant it and believe it you can achieve anything. Look at what is happening in the world today, most of it is based on slogans from “Don’t Kill Your Granny” to “From the river to the sea”. Words have power far beyond that of any tank.

As you know there were people like Peter Hitchens countering “don’t kill granny” but they were silenced, cancelled and censored. BBC this morning was pushing the ‘climate crisis’, oFcom think of the kiddies, we are here to help’ and ‘far right in ‘Germany is a threat to democracy’ like they are on speed!

They don’t. Especially not when these slogans are being shouted on university campusses in the UK and refer to a location more than 2300 miles distant from it. Making people waving flags of Israel “feel unwelcome” (Really?) is not the same as killing them. Further, shouting such slogans is speech, much as you might want to handle freedom of speech for your enemies exactly in the same way as they’d like to handle yours.

Muslim Jihad. Ant-Semiticism first then eventually the fascists work their way through other groups you don’t care about, until they come to you.

Palestine = fake country.
Palestinians = fake made up people.

They are Muslim Arabs squatting on the 1947 settlement land which belongs to Israel.
They house Hamas and other Muslim fascist Jihadic groups.

They are not innocent, they are not a people, they are not martyrs.

Very difficult to disagree to be honest so it would seem we have been infiltrated by the Leftie nutcases who won’t pay a penny to comment but do stick to the down button. Pathetic as they always are. Fascists all and I do, most certainly, use that phrase advisably.

Muslim Arabs have been the dominant ethnic group in this area ever since they conquered it from the Romans in the 7th century AD (disregarding the fairly short interlude of the crusader states). After a succession of caliphates, it ended up as part of the (muslim) Ottoman Empire until English troops and their rebel Arab allies conquered it in 1918. Present-day Israel controls all terrority supposed to assigned to it by the fiat-of-the-conquerors 1947 partition and more on top of that.

I flicked over to TRT World earlier and they were inside Gaza. They were talking about Aid and this woman was gathering water for her five kids and wearing a mask! Why does she feel the need to wear a face nappy in the heat and struggling to get water FFS unless it was for the cameraman pushing a Globalist narrative. TRT World also pushes climate propaganda to another level with their series called ‘Just 2 Degrees’.

Have they bent over for Islam yet, like their useless idiot counterparts in the US? So you know how we often say that these traitorous, delusional muppets should just get a one-way ticket to one of these Muslim lands if they hate the country they’re living in so much? Well it seems they now have the chance. In fact, this should be obligatory. Ship the whole sorry lot of these Mongtards off and bid them farewell. Let’s see how their ”Queers for Palestine” stance works for them in Yemen! Well they do pledge their devotion to the Houthis on the regular, after all. LOL…

”Iran’s Shiraz University, a public institution, announced on Wednesday that any protester in America or Europe facing academic consequences for supporting Hamas could apply for scholarships at Shiraz, also extending the invitation to professors seeking a more pro-jihadist campus. On Thursday, the larger Tehran University made a similar appeal to pro-Hamas Westerners.
“We accept students who have been expelled from European and American universities for protesting against the actions of the Zionists,” Seyed Mahmoud Aghamiri, the dean of Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, said on Thursday, according to Iranian state propaganda outlet PressTV. “We have considered scholarship for these students and we fully cover the cost of education, dormitory and accommodation.”

Similarly, in Yemen, in remarks to Reuters published on Friday, an unnamed official with Sanaa University offered a place in the institution to Americans suspended from universities for supporting jihadist terrorism.
“We are serious about welcoming students that have been suspended from U.S. universities for supporting Palestinians,” the unnamed official said. “We are fighting this battle with Palestine in every way we can.”
Sanaa University issued a statement this week condemning its American counterparts for “suppression of freedom of expression” by, in some cases, approving police action to remove violent protesters after they threatened others on campus and destroyed property, as well as disturbing the regular final exam season at the end of the semester.”

More deflection by Richard Eldred.

People wanting to be free from foreign occupation want their lands back from the river to the sea. It is hardly “genocidal” to want that.
What is “genocidal” is the killing of 30,000+ indigenous Palestinians by the occupying Jewish forces.

There is nothing wrong with wanting an “intifada” which is an Arabic word for a rebellion or uprising, or a resistance movement. It can be used to refer to an uprising against oppression.

What we need in the Middle East is peace. Slinging bombs and bullets all over the place isn’t going to achieve anything except more death, hatred and misery.

The student protesters should be immediately dismissed from their courses. I CGAF what they believe but anti semitism has no place in Britain today. These children also need to grow up and realise they are being played. They have clearly not learnt to think for themselves and are obviously not graduate material – deluded spoilt brats is my most generous assessment.

Mark Steyn on subject of GB News

“How’s that working out for the soi-disant “free speech channel” GB News? Last week, Farage was down to 31,200 viewers by the end of the seven o’clock hour, Rees-Mogadon tanked it further to 23,600 by the end of the eight o’clock, and Patrick Christys rallied to 29,700 by 9.15pm. To the surprise of no one, a Tories’n’trivia channel has minimal appeal – although perhaps more perplexing is the willingness of Sir Paul Marshall and the Dubai guys to continue indulging GB honcho Floppadopoulos as he redoubles his efforts to cut that 23,600 in half.
It’s hilarious – unless you think that, after the media groupthink on Brexit, Covid and everything else, if there’s one market that could really use an alternative it’s the UK”

Couldn’t agree more, as Mr Fox put it….Cos Play Freedom fighters!

Right on cue the pro IDF/Israel articles have re-appeared in the DS, must be because something is about to happen, maybe in Rafah.

The IDF now has control of the Philadelphia Axis along the entire Egyptian border.including Rafah. This a breach of the Camp Davids Accords.
So, the poor bloody Palestinians are being Kettled. Makes the killing much easier I suppose.

34,000 plus civilians murdered by the IDF so far.
2 million plus displaced and homes destroyed.
But that’s not Genocide. Lol.

None of this moronic protesting is to help the people of Gaza. No, it’s whole purpose is to highlight the profound moral purity of those protesting. It’s a bout of extreme public Narcissism, from a generation who should be named “Generation NPD”
