More Revelations Emerge of How the Climate Change Committee Dupes Parliament into Voting for Net Zero Measures

by Chris Morrison
27 January 2024 7:00 AM

Having been caught using just one high wind year to persuade British parliamentarians to donkey-nod through an insane rush to Net Zero in 2019, interest is growing in some of the other stunts pulled by the Climate Change Committee (CCC) to promote the green collectivist agenda. In 2020, the CCC used a supposed finding of the Citizen Climate Assembly to promote to Parliament the idea – found in its Sixth Carbon Budget – that meat and dairy consumption should be cut by up to 40%. In fact only a third of the 108-strong assembly discussed the matter, and only 10 people expressed priority support for such severe reductions in the diet. The assembly was largely curated by the CCC, while £200,000 of funding for the event organiser was supplied by the European Climate Foundation, a green activist operation drawing heavy financial support from Extinction Rebellion funder Sir Christopher Hohn.

The CCC’s Sixth Carbon Budget identified the drastic legal pathways the U.K. Government must follow to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide during the years 2033 to 2037. Everything must go it seems in the unreal world of Net Zero, despite the fact that human activity – and survival – depends on exploiting the Earth’s natural resources. “The experience of the U.K. Climate Assembly shows that if people understand what is needed and why, if they have options and can be involved in the decision-making process, they will support the transition to Net Zero,” states the CCC.

The investigative journalist Ben Pile broke the meat story and wondered at the time how just 10 individuals can be used to somehow represent the wishes of 66 million people. Needless to say, poodle media took the bone with Roger Harrabin of the BBC writing that members thought politicians should encourage people to eat up to 40% less meat.

The assembly was set up by a number of Parliamentary committees to include 108 members of the public invited for six weekend sessions around the time of the first Covid lockdown in 2020. Three were held in Birmingham and three by Zoom. The Chief Executive of the CCC, Chris Stark, was one of the four main organisers and one of the four ‘Expert Leads’. The leads chose the speakers who addressed the gathering. What transpired, of course, was 12 days of relentless eco propagandising. Just 35 members of the Assembly discussed the ‘what we eat’ issue and, noted Pile, listened to one speaker who said the following:

We know that red and processed meat is associated with a number of health conditions so it’s linked to heart disease, it’s linked to strokes, it’s linked to particular types of cancer like bowel cancer, it is also linked to diabetes. Whereas on the other hand, eating fruit and vegetables is linked to prevention of all these conditions, so the more fruit and vegetables you eat, you are less likely to suffer from those diseases.

Alas, when it came to a vote on eight options, only 29% of the group, or 10 members, chose eating less meat as a priority. In fact it was the second least popular option.

Mike Thompson was the Chief Economist of the CCC and the lead author of its Sixth Carbon Budget. He put a slightly different spin on the ball:

The Climate Change Assembly said it would be happy with a 20-40% reduction in meat consumption. We’ve looked really carefully at the Climate Assembly recommendations and actually we were quite engaged in the process as well. If you take the time to guide people through this, to explain why the changes are needed, to explain the sorts of things that need to happen, they’re really supportive of action, and actually we were really surprised how supportive they were of late of the things we were thinking of already.

Quite what planet people like Thompson operate on is not clear, but a good case can be made that extreme eco activists like him, indeed anyone associated with the Climate Change Committee, should not be allowed anywhere near the machinery of public policy and Government. The agenda of Net Zero, with its capacity to wreak havoc on economic and social lifestyles, is far too important to be left to public sector extremists and lazy Parliamentarians content to follow a Net Zero narrated plan. The push to 100% Net Zero was rushed through with barely an hour’s debate in the House of Commons in 2019, with MPs relying on advice from the CCC that there would be just seven days a year when wind turbines produced less than 10% of their potential electricity output. This of course helped play down the enormous cost of storage required for intermittent wind and solar power. Net Zero Watch has noted not seven, but 30 such days in 2020, 33 in 2019 and 56 in 2018.

Always in the background, as we have reported in the Daily Sceptic on numerous occasions, is the seemingly unlimited supply of elite billionaire money to buy influence with politicians, media and academia. Although set up by Parliament and curated by the CCC, the billionaire money was still in evidence at the Climate Assembly with £200,000 given specifically to Involve, the event organiser. Step forward with the cash, the European Climate Foundation whose other good works include backing for the Labour Climate and Environment Forum and the Conservative Environment Network. This latter operation runs a caucus composed of around half the backbench MPs of the ruling Conservative party, dedicated, it is noted, to supporting Net Zero ‘champions’.

Exactly.
Also, what do the tests detect? I hope it’s not the spike protein because everyone who’s had the vaccine will be full of them.

Excellent point and the “vaccinated” are likely shedding their spike protein poison, so we don’t get too close.

Well, there’s a thought! The vaccinated are a danger to the rest of us (except those of us with covid immunity). Perhaps we should have our own ‘non-jabbed passports’ to keep the dangerous vaccinated away from places we frequent. Maybe they should be issued with red star badges so we can steer clear of them. Or hand-bells which they must ring to announce they’re in the vicinity –“unclean! Unclean!”
Then there would be a race to the finish to find an antidote to the covid vaccines, another opportunity for gathering even more vast wealth into the bulging accounts of the already eye-wateringly super-rich NWOrders..

The data from India is starting to look a lot like our second wave, i.e. a rapid increase in “cases” followed by a rapid decline. Presumably the Indian variant will produce something similar in this country, but with a much smaller peak due to herd immunity and maybe the vaccines. It therefore seems likely that “cases” will start to fall again in 3 or 4 weeks. Lets hope that this time Boris can resist the doom mongers long enough for this ripple to peak and start to decline.

Exactly, really who cares. 4000 cases out of a 1,000,000 using a test that everybody knows is not fit for purpose. Time we got back to accepting that people die, whether it’s from a new disease or an old one.

The terrifying ‘India variant’ provoked a ‘wave’ in India that has been way below the world average of deaths! (and way, way below the situation in the UK).

IT actually looks very much like the post-vaccination surge that we saw here in January.

You really shouldn’t take fairy stories so seriously.

The positivity has been at 0.7-0.8 percent 7-day average in England since 20th April. Positive counts have limited meaning without knowing the number of tests. Last summer positivity didn’t bottom out until July and August. https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/testing?areaType=nation&areaName=England

There has never been a well-defined operational false positive rate of PCR mass testing in U.K.
That fact alone tells us this ‘testing’ is purely a mass fraud.
It’s illegitimate to claim any number of ‘cases’ based on gross positivity.
Also, you’ll recall WHO’s statement that an isolated PCR positive in the absence of clinical symptoms was meaningless & should not be acted upon.
Unfortunately the media are part of this grubby deception, even though it’ll throw their families through the gates of hell as well. Evil, stupid idiots.

I’m currently having an argument, albeit polite & respectful, with a Dr who says that the study data for IVM is poor & that the only way medicine has made progress is through RCT double blind trials! She’s speaking out of her arse! What is worse is that she is ignoring evidence from members of the same Long Covid group who have taken IVM & reported the changes, one of whom was bed ridden for 6 months & is now back to 90% function 2 months after being treated. The arrogance of the medics who only believe in The Science.

The doctor probably doesn’t understand statistics.

It’s quite possible that a small study will give a misleading result but the probability that 2 dozen or more studies all point in the same direction so decisively – purely by chance – is minuscule.

Confounding factors which are responsible for highly significant differences – in study after study – would be obvious.

So your Dr thinks the evidence against IVM is that it is new, perhaps experimental even, and that there are no long term safety studies? Perhaps said Dr might like to think about that one. carefully…!

When you have extremely low numbers, any increase is a large percentage because the increase have to be whole numbers. In this instance the increase is 30 people. And it’s not clear all or any of those 30 are actually Covid patients.

Once the pubs are fully open (if ever), and people feel free to express their anger to each other about what they’ve had to put up with for the last year, expect major changes.

Any self-respecting totalitarian movement will always limit social intercourse, especially in pubs where alcohol always frees way too much truth.

I don’t recognise this country anymore. So targeted testing = rise in “cases” but still its under 0.5% of all tests conducted and yet we have people “experts” happy to keep trashing the economy, trashing mental health, trashing progress, even trashing their blessed NHS and keeping this lockdown going into September. Where there is zero chance of avoiding another bump in infections.

How many millions a day is this never ending lockdown actually costing ? I don’t even know the last time I heard anyone ask how much this is all costing our great grandchildren.

Fuck ! Just stop it. Stop testing and stop looking for variants. It’s madness

Sorry, but some of us have been saying for decades that this country is going to hell in a handcart. Still, realists always were a minority. And don’t forget, there are about 2,000 deaths per day, every day (UK). And I make no apology for the 2,000 figure. Probably has quite a lot to do with the current crisis.

When positive go up slightly there’s panic and then surge testing which just finds more positives. No doubt in people who have no symptoms that wouldn’t have bothered getting tested.

Exactly. Surge testing biases towards positives so the numbers cannot be compared with testing that is more randomly based. SAGE know this but still lie about it.

Agree, but it’s not panic. It’s Sage (power drunk quacks with grants to sustain) gleefully stirring to feed the fear.

What amazes me is the sheer number of tests. There are just over 100 days there. At the beginning of the year, around half a million tests per day, more recently around a million per day.

Who are these nasal orifice perverts? Some people must have had dozens of tests. I can only assume some are addicted to the pyschological kick they get from their “involvement in the crisis”. I will hazard a guess that there may be an outbreak of some ghastly cancer in about 10 years from the chemicals in the sticks.

And who is profiting? And where does all the plastic end up?

For any other disease, mostly way more serious than a cold, it’s really hard to get a test or there isn’t one. Why the panic? As the wheels come off, you can start seeing how the whole shit show may have started.

One thing is clear, there are more intelligent brains commenting on this website, and on a few other fora, than exist in the whole of HMG, SAGE and the rest.

At the end of last year I was unlucky enough to have been chosen as the householder to participate in a testing regime which I ignored but for posterity retained the pack.
I would be paid £25 for my involvement and £25 every test after that once I was confident of providing swabs by myself. Four in month one, then monthly for a year.

Thanks for that quick look data.
Shows what we’ve known for hundreds of years, the peak of the cold and flu season is in January and it wanes away to nothing in summertime.
All corona viruses are seasonal.

Excellent.
Now, all we need to do is to subtract from each weeks positivity the actual operational false positive rate for that same week.
Good practise would have a low single figure % of capacity put through blinded, full chain of custody known (virus-free) negative samples, indistinguishable from tests.
What? They didn’t run ANY known negative controls through each week? Or indeed, EVER?
The entire data stream must be flushed. The assumption that the oFPR is zero is false. The assumption that it’s a fixed % of tests is also false. False positive rate is CONTEXTUAL. It varies with the skill of the operators, the true positive rate & extent of cross contamination, to say nothing of cycle threshold, number & integrity of probe / primer sets, absolute signal threshold & the algorithm used by the AI positive calling software,
I’m sure they’re checking NONE of these.
IGNORE.

Note the absurdity of the bar chart – with that massively exaggerated fearful testing ‘surge’ in January – dwarfing the previous April.

If you can swallow that – then you deserve to have the Mail crapping on you!

I think the piss taking from Big Brother has reached new levels….

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-57282018

To summarise, the article is titled, “Wanted, caretaker to look after uninhabited Scottish island”

Duties….” It is a bit of housekeeping. They need to keep the three houses on the island prepared for guests, clean the public toilets, welcome the visitors and make sure they are sticking to Covid safety measures.“

The “journalists” writing this must have been recruited from the “Viz”!!

I fully expect a “top tip” on the BBC site tomorrow, “make your mask more people friendly by decorating it with the fluff from your belly button.

Honestly, if it’s not this , it’s the Blood Clot Vicar encouraging others to put their life in danger….

Trusted source of info? Ha fucking ha.

It’s so fecking arduous to get out to the isles, only the fit and healthy make it in the first place. 30 kts wind counts as a light breeze. It rains. A lot. The standard of housing is shite. You have to watch what you’re doing, because these places are less controlled and full of hazards to those brought up wrapped in cotton wool. Corona would be the least of their worries.

But only 400 healthy people under 60 died of Covid last year? Either that figure is a lie or the fact that the majority unvaccinated are well under the figure means it’s a non-problem. Which one is true??

If we applied the same logic in WW2 we would never have said boo to Hitler. Freedom is surely worth something. Please, ATL, put an effing price on freedom even if it’s only two deaths. Personally I think 2 million is closer to the mark before I make myself unfree.

Here is another opportunity for the uk to move out of the COVID scare mongering. Offer everyone and anyone early effective COVID treatment with repurposed drugs. Used in the USA by America’s frontline physicians, Pierre Kory and his organised physicians and Peter McCullough and his organised physicians. Available via telemedicine. Online sights with information on the drugs, dosage, treatment. All of these physicians have data and studies showing the effectiveness of these drugs.

Why won’t the UK consider this treatment? Good question. Why do they continue to insist everyone needs an experimental biological with minimal safety and efficacy data and no long term safety or efficacy data. Why is the uk prepared to vaccinate children. Again, minimal safety and efficacy data. I now know more people who have suffered adverse events post COVID vaccination, some serious adverse events. The CDC VAERS latest report shows over 4,000 deaths in the USA and a quarter of a million adverse events. Refer to Robert Kennedy’s Children’s Defense website yesterday’s issue. A Harvard study done a few years ago showed the CDC’s VAERS is possibly only 1% of adverse events and deaths. Worrying. And yet we just keep giving people this “jab”.

Will the uk ever come out of lockdown. It is doubtful unless, every single person is forced to take a trial biological with no long term safety or efficacy still in trial til 2023.

The big question, is who is behind this madness.

All other successful and inexpensive treatments had to be discredited to make way for the dodgy vaccines, which were only allowed to be rolled out (worryingly fast) because we were, and apparently still are, in the throes of a pandemic (in case you haven’t noticed) and no other treatment was deemed suitable (despite massive proof to the contrary). The PCR testing is being abused to inflate case numbers with a phenomenal number of false positives, and the lockdowns are in place partly to imply we are still in this emergency state so that the vaccine rollout can proceed unhindered. The aim? Digital passports.
Who is behind this madness? It is actually a very well-formulated global plan. Try reading Vernon Coleman’s ‘Endgame, The Hidden Agenda 21.’

Not just Vernon, I also agree this is depopulation. Though I won’t drop them in it, several very high profile critics also think this.
They just don’t dare say so, for fear of being labelled cranks.
I’ve pointed out to them that nothing else could justify, in the minds of the perpetrators, the ‘measures’ they’ve already taken, which have caused the avoidable deaths of tens of thousands of their citizens.
They’ve probably been told it’s to do with solving the global warming problem. And it is, in a way. Just not the way they’d thought (by constraining consumption of non renewables). Instead, by constraining the number of humans.
It’s evil, effective & in my view, long ago indisputable. Every one of the main, narrative points about this crisis is a lie.

The goal is totalitarian tyranny over the population by means of registration of every man, woman, child & baby on the worlds first, common format digital ID system with an editable health flag & full, global interoperability.
AKA vaccine passports.
Once that’s up & running with a majority of adults on it, the remaining unvaccinated will be coerced to get vaccinated by diminishing freedom to do anything without a valid VaxPass.
Why this isn’t obvious to every thinking person is a mystery to me,
If you’re thinking of remaining unvaccinated, I expect you’ll need to tolerate indefinite house arrest eventually. They’ll never mandate vaccination but you’ll beg for it, in order to access your own life.
Once that’s done, the next stage can begin. As it’s not my crime, I cannot be sure what that entails, but I’m drawn to the likelihood of depopulation with plausible deniability, by means of superfluous ‘variant vaccines’, which could contain any genetic code, triggering an illness consonant with whatever propaganda is in the news.
Rinse & repeat over several years until desired population is reached.
Me? I’m leaving if I possibly can, to continue the fight from somewhere less advanced down this road to hell (which is pretty much anywhere).
I regret to have concluded a couple of months ago that most likely, this fraud is being run out of US & U.K. and not China.

Positive tests and cases are two entirely different things. You can have a positive test and be totally asymptomatic, neither in need of treatment nor a danger to others. You are not a case unless and until you are sick enough to require medical treatment. The Mail and the rest of the captive mass media knows this. So does the Government knows. Yet both mix and match the two definitions to hype the figures and maintain the myth that without Big Pharma’s latest batch of dodgy snake oil we are all doomed. I, for one, can’t wait to see the venal Boris and his corrupt and cowardly bunch cabinet cohorts dragged into the dock to answer for the countless lives and livelihoods they have destroyed with their disastrous shamdemic policies.

As predicted this is just another ruse to get us to the Autumn where once again respiritory infections increase, and the usual NHS can’t cope headlines start to appear. Incidentally has anyone read anywhere that with all the money being spaffed about that some of it has actually gone on increasing ICU beds?. So I predict we will once agin be in full Lockdown, the Government will once again extend its 300 plus emergency laws, the Politicians in the house will once again cave, and so the whole charade continues.

Some months ago, I recall seeing an agreement between HMG & a private laboratory group, in relation to opening additional PCR testing facilities in U.K. My heart sank, as we were coming off the Jan 2021 peak (which many believe was wholly vaccination related). The only rationale for yet further expansion to testing was if they planned to deploy it to crush the population through fake cases. This looks like the leading edge of such a fraud. Simply go throttle up on testing, tweak conditions, abs generate the required ‘cases’, ‘covid admissions’ & ‘covid19 deaths’.
Lockdown.

Lies – deliberate misinformation/paltering – from beginning to end. Will the Mail ever take a stand to clean up this stuff? It has run some good pieces, showing independence, but continues to parrot Sage fear ops.
Lie one – the graph. It does not show the number of infections per day in the UK. It is about tests.
Lie two – positive tests – no context for numbers of tests.
Lie three – no context on the age those with positive tests. We know the young are testing positive, great news, natural immunity spreading among the young in the warm months,
Lie four – no mention of natural immunity even existing. 70 per cent jabbed not enough – just ignores the now clearly high percentage of natural immunity.
And the lies cascade down the piece.
