Scottish Battery Factory Goes Bust in Fresh Blow to U.K.’s Net Zero Industry

by Will Jones
21 December 2023 7:00 AM

AMTE Power, a high-performance battery developer, has called in administrators in a fresh blow to Britain’s Net Zero industry as orders dried up. The Telegraph has more.

The company warned in the summer that it was in financial trouble and had days to find a new backer or help from existing shareholders.

An investor pulled the plug on fresh funding after plans to build a new plant in Dundee were scrapped.

AMTE said in a stock market notice: “The board has no other options to secure finance in the time available and has therefore concluded that the company has insufficient funds to continue trading.”

It said it appointed FRP Advisory as administrator to find a buyer and trading of its shares are suspended.

The company, which is based in Oxfordshire but has its main operations in Thurso, planned a 0.5GWh half-gigafactory in Dundee to make batteries for potential clients such as BMW and Cosworth.

AMTE had a long history in developing lithium cells, making some of the first examples in the 1990s. Recently, AMTE said it tested cells that can be charged fully in six minutes in a breakthrough for charging technology.

However, it has been making a loss. It did not get the firm orders it needed from carmakers and other potential customers, or a patient investor that could fuel an expansion in production. …

AMTE’s fate mirrors that of Britishvolt, another would-be independent U.K. gigafactory.

Britishvolt was the brainchild of former investment banker Orral Nadjari, who saw the looming demand for batteries from carmakers in the U.K. and a gap in the market for an independent producer, planning a £3.8bn factory in Blyth, Northumberland.

But it ran out of funding after borrowing became more expensive. At the time of its demise in January, the company had signed initial deals with carmakers such as Aston Martin, but it had secured no firm orders.

Meanwhile, most of the biggest carmakers in the U.K., including Nissan, JLR, Mini and Aston Martin, have secured alternative supplies for cells.

Worth reading in full.

Richard Kemp is a Colonel Blimp who is fighting WW3 as if it is WW1.

His claim is as accurate as the idea that sanctions would destroy Russia.

He’s impatient for the inevitable false-flag chemical weapon theatre. I’m frankly surprised that it hasn’t happened already, given that we’ve been practically begging Ukraine to put on a command performance.

Contrast Kemps diatribe with this from Vladimir Chirkin, a Russian military commander and Colonel General. Former Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces (2012-2013).

https://southfront.org/without-hysterics-and-insults/

It’s a more honest assessment that fits closest to (a rather foggy) reality on the ground from other sources, than anything I’ve read in the MSM.

Steve Kirsch’s idea about mandatory autopsies is smart and simple, and for those very reasons every vaxxing lockdowning government on the face of the earth will ignore it.

“The Russian army has run out of time” – Colonel Richard Kemp

This guy is a Colonel? Blimey there’s no hope at all! Is he actually watching what’s going on in the right country? Putin may have lost the Parpaganda war, but there’s no sign of losing on the ground

https://southfront.org/ukraine-the-information-war-conflict-scenarios-and-post-conflict-ukraine/

Putin may also plan to deploy chemical weapons to break the deadlock; President Biden

warned of this yesterday. Assad’s use of chemical weapons in Syria,

over which Putin presided, caused devastating physical and psychological

effects that proved decisive.

^^Fake News Alert!^^ or false flag alert?

As sanctions continue to bite, sustaining even a stalemated campaign will be increasingly difficult for Russia.

Who is the sanctions biting again? Hint: It’s not Putin! looks at heating bill

This is a good read, written in 2015, to give an idea how complicated Ukraine issues are, it took twenty-three world-leading academics to write it! (287 pages) One of the editors is a chatham house fellow, so expect a bit of a slant, but not as much as you mite think, it’s about as balanced as you mite find from mainstream academia. e.g. it’ll talk about US involvement in Maidan, but it doesn’t mention a whole floor of the SBU building was inaccessible without a CIA pass! It’s a bit “Putin Bad” but it doesn’t make your blood boil like the MSM do.

Just read the Mail article about visors being unusable “beyond a use-by date”. Can anyone explain how a visor has a “use-by” date? It’s made of plastic and should last years.

Perhaps the plastic goes brittle over time and could crack? Or maybe its like those plastic carrier bags we have had for the past few years, the ones that fall to bits, especially if the sun gets on them?

I mean, if your visor cracked or disintegrated, it wouldn’t keep you saaafe. The horror!

That’s all I could think of – I’d also like to know.

Plastic embrittlement occurs due to prolonged exposure to u/v light. If plastic is boxed or wrapped in non-clear packing, no u/v, no embrittlement except after a very long time.

European Union and CE Mark regulations regarding medical devices.

All roads lead to EU stupidity which still infests post-EU Britain because of the useless goon-squad in charge.

Regulation benefits producers.

I should have known that Wales would continue this madness.
As far as I understand it under current legislation an unvaccinated person who lives with a covid case has to isolate for TEN days BUT if they themselves have it it is only FIVE ergo you are better off saying you’ve got it too.

If anyone here has a few minutes to spare, could you please confirm this?

Unfortunately I live with someone who gets tested every few weeks at the request of their employer.

I am trying to hope this is the last gasp of a dying cult and the worse they’ll do is follow Scotland’s mask nonsense but you never know and still it boils my urine.

Thanks.

Why do people keep testing? Without this there would be no CoVid, no hysteria about new ‘variants’.

The NZ situation is beyond stupid.
In March 2020 NZ had 5 “cases” of Wu Flu. The Horsey Horsey Leader imposed the most Draconian civil rights restrictions out side of North Korea.
In March 2022 NZ had 20,000 “cases”. Today ALL restrictions have been removed.
The difference?
Russia had not been persuaded to invade Ukraine in 2020.

“All a state has to do is mandate autopsies for anyone who dies within two months of a vaccination; the Medical Examiner would be required to make the results public.”

A sound proposition, but it presupposes that the powers want evidence against “misinformation.” In fact they want to assert their narrative unopposed, which means silencing any awkward evidence.

The article on the possibility of diesel rationing is important as it is diesel that fuels agriculture and in the UK red (tractor) diesel has seen a huge price rise and a shortage of supplies. This along with fertiliser price rises does not bode well for future UK food security.
Diesel, fertiliser and a fair amount of wheat comes from Russia and so I suspect the Russian wheat farmers will be busy this spring, in hopes of a good harvest and good prices later this year. It will be ironic if, next winter, Russia is able to offer good supplies of wheat for export?

The fact that we have not had a national food policy since the second World War is absolutely criminal. I would hope some thought is being given to the upcoming shortages but given that harming populations is all part of the Reset I wouldn’t bet on it.

And lorries, buses and fishing vessels… and by the by emergency diesel generators which are co-opted to stop the grid falling over when the wind stops and run-down of coal and gas means grid demand cannot be met.

This is not a universal contradiction since there will be some overlap, but consider this:

Many on the hysterical/deranged side of the isle regarding SARS-2/COVID, who were screaming ‘Granny killer’ at those on the calmer side of the isle, and who said little to nothing about children and the effects lockdowns, etc would have on them, are the very same people who, during the ‘Brexit’ debate and after the vote, were writing off Granny and Grandad’s vote, saying they were ‘not the future’ of this nation, and saying it’s all about the children and their future.

While we’re ‘celebrating’ the anniversary of the first lockdown, the chancellor is to make his Spring statement which is expected to utterly cripple the UK population.

Funny how ‘The Virus’ managed to coordinate itself in such a way that coincides with government scheduling.

Just a coincidence… the virus is the enemy and Putin is a madman said the good citizen.

Tragic that all of the articles on the predatory man “Lia” Thomas use Online Safety Bill compliant newspeak like “transwoman” and “she/her”.

If you can’t even speak the truth, then how can you discuss it? Eventually you wont even be able to perceive or think it.

Dr. Matt Shelton and Lawyer Sue Grey from New Zealand joined Zeee Media to show us evidence submitted to them by four separate groups of New Zealand scientists who have examined Pfizer COVID-19 injection vials under a microscope.

https://zeeemedia.com/interview/dr-shelton-sue-grey-evidence-of-nanotechnology-graphene-oxide-in-covid-19-injections/

This evidence has been carefully examined, and shows self-assembling nanotechnology that appears to be forming into micro-computers in as little as fifteen minutes, as well as graphene oxide in the Pfizer vials – a matter that has been dismissed by many Fact Checker organisations.
They have submitted this evidence to police, MP’s and other government officials with zero response. They have asked for people to share this information far and wide so that people stop getting these dangerous injections immediately.
