He actually said the quiet part out loud, lol. Kinda like Mary Harrington did fairly recently as well. But make no mistake, there is really NO true golden age to go back to in 19XX or 18XX or 17XX or (pick your poison) Every single era in history comes with a price, as it is always a trade-off. But many self-proclaimed reactionaries view the past with such rose-colored glasses, apparently. The grass may look greener on the other side, but it still has to be mowed either way.
Yes, I’d go along with that, though hard to say as this is the only “age” I’ve lived in. Things seemed less mad in the 1970s, which is the first decade I can remember living through. I’m not able to access the “Times” but perhaps it’s just something of a clickbait headline.
Claiming that things were better in year x than today isn’t remotely the same as claiming year x was part of a “golden age”.
It seems to me obvious that we were better off in 2019 than we are today and much better off in 1996 than we are today. Neither claim means I think there weren’t lots of things wrong in 2019 or 1996.t
And don’t get me started on 1938 compared to 1946.
Good point
I think things just seemed better to me in 2019 and now I realise how bad things were. Perhaps we are in some way better off as our enemies may have overplayed their hand
“Stop complaining about Pol Pot: there was never a Cambodian Golden Age”
And back in the 1950s, my old man could support his three child family on his salary alone.
Progress? I don’t think so.
You can thank neoliberalism for that (Thatcher, Reagan etc.)
Fair enough
Fair enough.
“The terrible triumph of tenderness”
Julie misses the point again. Its not tenderness that has triumphed but fragility.
Good point. The “tenderness” is mostly fake.
Will the EU on line censorship regime effect The DS ? + Isn’t it amazing how Graphic Porn for instance managed to go viral over the last few years , even reaching kids phones & yet not a peep from these unelected C- NTS !!!
Morning All! We’re recording our next podcast this afternoon.
If you’d like us to talk about anything, or have a message you’d like read out on the podcast, please let me know.
This week’s episode ‘Get Your Bibby Stockholm’s Out’ is here:

This is very interesting and the results stark.
”Steve searches for the words “suddenly” or “unexpectedly” in obituaries online on his phone. Then he screen-captures them and sends them to me via text message from time to time. I look up the Death Certificates and tell him the official causes of death.
I created a multi-user spreadsheet and gave Steve access. He populated the sheet with the number of instances of “suddenly” or “unexpectedly” for every U.S. state and for the years 2015 through August 21, 2023.
The results are staggering and incontrovertible. Something is very wrong with public health beginning not in the covid year of 2020, but rather upon deployment of the transfecting gene therapy drug the government calls a “vaccine” in 2021.
While there can be no attribution to a single cause of death, this is an alarming trend that cannot be unseen. What is causing such a rise? Is it fentanyl overdoses? Is it the use of a medicament in hospital? Could it possibly be the covid gene therapy drug deployed in the past two years?”

Yet another anecdotal example this morning – an e-mail from my brother mentions the sudden death of his financial adviser in his thirties, or at most forties.
When I was a GP, that would have been almost unheard of unless he were a drug addict. Now it’s daily conversation.
Exactly. Are we all supposed to just gradually become accustomed and desensitized to this highly abnormal news, whether it be lives lost of those around us or the ones who make the news? It’s crazy that TPTB are treating us with such contempt and insulting our intelligence to these extremes. I hate it. I hate that nothing’s being done and nobody is being held to account. It’s the knowledge that nobody will ever see the inside of a prison cell for all of this which rankles incessantly with me. People die prematurely by decades and in excess but the world still turns like nothing has changed and all is well. It’s like one big, sick farce but we’re being expected to ”Keep calm and carry on”
Wow. My money is on the jabs.
“Greece wildfires: 79 people arrested for arson” BBC!!!!!!
F-ME!, will wonders never cease?
What on earth is the bbc doing reporting actual news?
Who do you think would do such a thing though, and was it organized by a single body of people? Is it likely to be eco-nutters, to blame it on climate change? Is there a secret ‘pyromaniac association’ over there unbeknownst to the authorities? I’m bamboozled as to who would do this sort of thing and in such large numbers. I have a hard time imagining it could be local Greeks unleashing such devastation on their own lands.
Indeed, the proliferation of the formerly rare “arsonist” does merit comparison with the number of faked homophobic and transphobic attacks, in the absence of real ones, to serve the LGBTQ+ cause.
The logic would be that climate change is such an imminent threat that anything that draws attention to it, including setting destructive and lethal wildfires, is justified.
A recent comparable irrationality (in WUWT) was the waiving of regulations protecting wildlife when planning windfarms in California, on which the environmentalists have been silent. Saving the planet, an entirely abstract idea, is more important than actually saving the rare creatures and the people for whom the planet exists.
On the other hand, the nihilism that has been fostered in our culture may just mean that idiots like the idea of causing fires so they can take selfies and feel significant.
It is not unreasonable to conclude that all major system narratives and agendas – the plandemic, the ‘climate emergency’, the Glen-Glenda agenda – owe their pseudo-legitimacy to carefully contrived catalytic events, or to put it another way, extreme nudging.
Or more simply – the Reset Scamdemic.
Don’t know about you , but I’ve gleaned over the years from various TV and documentaries that serial killers usually begin their road to mass murder by arson and animal abuse! If this is the case there’s set to be a massive increase of serial killers knocking about! in all countries!
Or maybe they are just agenda pushes willing to cause death in the name of climate change?
If you’re a data fan here is a very comprehensive analysis of birth rates across Europe, with many useful resources beneath the article. Here’s the score with Scotland;
”Starting in April 2021, vaccination had been available to pregnant women in their third trimesters.
In August 2021, the JCVI (Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation) recommended vaccination for pregnant women in any semester. In September, the neonatal death rate took off far above confidence intervals, triggering, with another outlier in 2022, an investigation on the phenomenon in Scotland. These two alarming observations are also consistent with the findings of David Schuldman, highlighted and developed by Josh Guetzkow in a December 2022 article, which illustrated a spike in Neonatal deaths in Israeli data, during the roll-out to pregnant women.”

A quick but perfect example of just how badly we are now to believe that Lucy Letby is an evil baby murderer and has been banged to rights. The DM have outdone themselves here! Ironically all this does is make the case against Lucy look even weaker and full of gaffs and holes by those involved. Anyone who’s ever worked in a hospital knows that ‘LD’ means ‘Long Day’ ( a 12hr shift, excl breaks ), when you’re given your shift rota, and ‘SD’ is a short day ( 8 hours ), but in this twisted example it’s secret ‘baby killing code’. FFS, this is outrageous!
”Someone just pointed me to this article in the Daily Mail today. The headline is as sensational as it is utterly stupid. It exposes to just what degree the mainstream media want to distract you from the Net Zero, ULEZ, Covid and other issues of the day, while creating fantastical stories to support their “cunning murderess” and “Britain’s Worst Babykiller” narrative.
The Nurses, Midwives and Doctors reading this substack will already have noticed what I immediately saw.
The letters are not ‘LO’ as Rory wants the great unwashed to believe, and most certainly are not some secret baby murder trophy code.
They are actually ‘LD’ – the shift designation from her roster that describes her as working a Long Day. An LD shift is a 12 hour shift wherein the nurse or midwife arrives on the unit around 7:00am to change and prepare for handover, and comes off shift after handing over to the night staff at around 7:30pm in the evening.
While I could go on for days showing you the sensationalist claims some in the mainstream media are now making about Lucy, this one example more than any other shows just how willing they are to hallucinate evil from any insignificant or errant thing Lucy may have done.”

Well bang goes my hypothesis. I didn’t know this Munchausen by proxy applied to dads too but they are out there. I suppose getting financially rewarded for abusing your kid is also a factor;
”Attention seeking father turns son trans on TikTok for fame.
Since transitioning his son he has gained 3.5 million followers and appears in every single video staring at the camera and enjoying the attention his son brings him.”

Good thread from Rustler…it’s the only one I’ve seen, which is odd because others Clare Craig..Joel Smalley..Proff Fenton to name a few) are usually on these stats pretty quickly …..
https://twitter.com/TheRustler83/status/1694996492283482151
The ONS has finally released the COVID-19 ‘Deaths by Vaccination Status Data’ for 2023 in England
8,330 deaths were #Vaccinated
(95%)
436 deaths were #Unvaccinated
(5%)
And STILL our Government pretends the jag prevents death with COVID…
#Unvaccinated
436 deaths
5%
1 dose
62 deaths
0.7%
2 dose
334 deaths
3.8%
3 dose
1,032 deaths
11.8%
4 dose
6,902 deaths
78.7%
They say the vaccine protects against death from COVID?
ONS confirms 201,564 deaths to 31st May 2023
194,506 were vaccinated (96.5%)
7,058 were unvaccinated
(3.5%)
The unvaccinated make up 18% of the adult population, yet only 3.5% of all-cause deaths & just 5% of ‘COVID’ deaths..
So, what is causing all of the #ExcessDeaths?
Hopefully, those people you mention plus Will Jones and some of the statisticians who comment here are analysing this data. I’ve had a quick look at Table 5 that appears to have raw data of all-cause deaths by vaccination status by month by age-group. Just a quick look at deaths in the 60 to 69 age group appears to show a reduction in the proportion of the unvaccinated dying each month between 2021 and 2022/23.
Yes- I’m sure they’ll be on it…I’m not great at stats and graphs so I like their expertise for instance this sort of thing…
Rustler himself says…
The ‘Base Rate Fallacy’ crew will no doubt claim +95% of the population are vaccinated-they are not
Actual vaccination rates across the adult population 18+ was confirmed from NHS vaccination records:
81.6% dose 1
78.7% dose 2
64.3% dose 3

https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viruses/whats-new/covid-19-variant.html
“Based on what CDC knows now, existing tests used to detect and medications used to treat COVID-19 appear to be effective with this variant. BA.2.86 may be more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received COVID-19 vaccines.”
Well that would be pretty much everyone then?? LOL….so the question is what would be the benefit, for anyone, of getting the jab?
Weren’t we aware of this fact way back..at least two years ago, when the MHRA were still putting out the ‘vaccine updates’….that the quacksinated were more likely to test positive?
So how have these vaccines helped anyone at all??
““The Tory blob has squeezed the life out of the free school revolution” – The Government has lost interest in free schools, writes Fraser Nelson in the Telegraph, in spite of their success”
I’d expand that to say
“The Government has lost interest in anything one might consider to BE conservative”.
No?
This is a truly frightening story about where we are headed in relation to censorship…(and it feels even more disturbing in light of the EU having just passed the Digital Services Act) It isn’t behind a paywall and is a must read!!

Norway LOCKED man in psychiatric ward for questioning mRNA shotsThe same day police arrived at his door, he had shared one of my news stories.
First a word of warning. This story you are about to read is WORSE than you think.
I did not believe this could happen in a democracy. This should not ever happen in a democracy. But then again, I am beginning to ask myself if we are actually still living in a democracy.
Let’s start from the beginning…
Also a supposed ‘democracy’ frightening, unbelievable story…..Canadistan!

An Ontario court ruled against psychologist and media personality Jordan Peterson Wednesday, and upheld a regulatory body’s order that he take social media training in the wake of complaints about his controversial online posts and statements.
…..Peterson has said he will take the ‘training’ and make it public…who would like to be a fly on the wall when they try to ‘re-train’ him?? LOL!…
What’s the meme? Let’s make 1984 fiction again!!???
LOL!
https://babylonbee.com/news/cdc-announces-deadly-new-electionyearicron-covid-variant
CDC Announces Deadly New ‘Electionyearicron’ Covid Variant
ATLANTA, GA — The Center for Disease Control warned Americans this week to resume all contact precautions due to a new and rapidly-spreading “Electionyearicron” Covid variant.
CDC director Bob Cohen spoke with reporters Wednesday to announce the new variant. “‘Electionyearicron’ is thought to be the most disruptive variant yet, and will be here all through 2024 until approximately November sixth,” said Mr. Cohen. “So everyone, stay home and get ready to vote by mail!”
The White House hosted an immediate press conference to address the dangerous new variant. “We’re thrilled – I mean, um, alarmed – to hear of this deadly new ‘Electionyearicron’ variant,” said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “The President says we’ll probably just go ahead and cancel the general elections next year as a precaution. It’s the only way to really flatten the curve. You don’t want to kill grandma, do you?”
The CDC has released guidelines once again encouraging social distancing and the wearing of masks. “It’s the best way to love your neighbor,” said Mr. Cohen. “The government will let you know just as soon as it’s safe to end quarantine, which we project to be immediately after the next election is over. Just to give Americans an extra sense of assurance, we are calling Dr. Fauci back out of retirement so everyone knows they can trust our word. Stay home, stay safe!”
As of press time, millions of middle-class liberal women had already sewn their N95 masks directly onto their faces as a precaution.
“Greece wildfires: 79 people arrested for arson” – The BBC finally gets round to reporting the fact that the Greek ‘wildfires’ were caused by arsonists, not ‘climate change’.
The source of ignition could be an arsonist’s matches or lighter or a bolt of lightning. An arsonist is also likely to add an accelerant (fuel) to any fire they set. However, an extensive fire will not develop without additional fuel being available to sustain it. The climate alarmists will have us believe that the fuel is there and drier than in previous years due to (man-caused) climate change. I would contend that changes in land use away from farming and commercial forestry is the cause of the build up of fuel.
