In this week’s episode of London Calling, I tell James about my event-filled diary last week, the climax of which was bumping into Boris at a party and explaining to him why I was disappointed by his decision to shut us in our homes three years ago; a close second was attending a one-day conference on Friday chaired by the American journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger about how to fight back against the censorship-industrial complex; we then discuss the implosion of the Titan submersible and whether it was a ‘psy op’; the real cause of the Titanic’s sinking in 2012 (new conspiracy theory klaxon); the failed coup in Russia led by the Wagner Group and whether it was all a cunning ploy so Putin could place Prigozhin and his forces north of Kiev without raising Ukrainian alarm bells (eh?); and, in Culture Corner James complains about The Covenant, which he dismisses as “regime propaganda”, and I praise Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which I saw last week with my 15 year-old son.

“…bumping into Boris at a party and explaining to him why I was disappointed by his decision to shut us in our homes three years ago”
Seriously? “Boris”? “Disappointed”? Words fail me.
I’ll have to listen in the hope of hearing the reply! (Damn….)
Perhaps the remark is poorly phrased rather than being a genuine reflection of his views – but a journalist ought to be able to choose the right words. I think it’s in incredibly poor taste and am tempted to cancel my DS subscription and get my news elsewhere.
Toby seems disappointed in Boris for his lack of ‘Churchwellianism”.
I disagree, I think the Lockdown was exactly that:
‘When concentration camps were built in South Africa, for white Boers, (Churchill) he said they produced “the minimum of suffering”. The death toll was almost 28,000, and when at least 115,000 black Africans were likewise swept into British camps, where 14,000 died, he wrote only of his “irritation that Kaffirs should be allowed to fire on white men”. Later, he boasted of his experiences there: “That was before war degenerated. It was great fun galloping about.”

I have defended TY many times when they have accused him of acting in bad faith, and shall continue to do so. On this occasion I feel strongly that the choice of words or the sentiment are in astonishingly poor taste.
Johnson merits the utmost disdain.
I think it’s what we call ‘old fashioned understatement.’
No idea. If there was ever a subject for which understatement was inappropriate, this is it.
The former PM botched Brexit, failed to stop mass immigration, pushed evil green policies and knowingly endorsed the biggest folly and evil in the history of this country.
He is useless and despicable, and shows no remorse for his treachery.
His name is not Boris.
I almost always put ‘Boris’ in quotes. His name is Alexander Johnson and most people call him Al (and no, he can’t be my bodyguard!)
Haven’t listened to this yet. Will do tonight. I wonder if James is going to do the good old story that the ship called ‘Titanic’ that sank was the real Britannic and was name-swapped with Titanic very late in the day because it had a bunch of problems and they intended to scuttle it and have all the passengers escape in lifeboats.
Weasel-gate?
In this week’s London Calling,
Both play cricket…
James casts many a spin bowl including, Operation Paperclip he is on form.
He remembers the details from his podcast on the potential switching of the Titanic for ‘RMS Olympic’. ( Titanic’s Sister).
A rather plausible idea. Spoiler alert.
The Olympic was a right off so it was switched for the Titanic for the insurance. If true, It really was a cock up which led to conspiracy. All about money…

Toby bats well until out for a duck…
He forgets his entire modus operandi for the past three years. Out for a duck, due to a sticky wicket?
Was that ‘Judas” I heard shouted from the back of the auditorium? Or worse. Lando!
It must have been the wine and cheese, the brushing of shoulders within that tight obsequious Overton weasal window, that made Toby all breathless and forget his entire website and his supporters. (to our utter distain.)
I suppose his tongue was busy toadying BJ. or something similar. Toby didn’t even play a googly ball. More a limp twisted under arm toss of a foamy bean bag. Very disappointing, indeed.
Whence discussing Trollope and his characters, I thought he was referring to himself.
I suppose Boris now becoming a journalist (ahem) it’s back to the media old boy, circus. Two clowns entertaining the masses to distract them from googling Operation Paperclip.
Too harsh? Then maybe the image of Toby as the sub visiting the wreck of the Titanic or his (Olympic sister) Boris, is rather more fitting.
Under pressure both exploded…
Hang on Toby accuses James of Conspiracy Capitalism, yet admits to conspiracy himself, meeting behind closed doors, forming plans but secrecy is needed, for now….the good of the many etc. to fight the good fight, against the Censorship Industrial Complex.
Has Toby had a google on how to pronounce Keighley yet? No, too busy with the wine and cheese..maybe even smoking the odd cigar.
.
(Team Icke).
Dellers has now decended into self-parody. For the last year or so he been a sucker for every nut-case conspiracy theory you can imagine. For the first time, I turned it off half way through.
All of the views I expressed regarding Covid from the start were dismissed as conspiracy theories that could only be held by evil nutcases. Most of what we predicted has come to pass. Do I believe everything that Delingpole does? Probably not. Would I dismiss him as a nutcase conspiracy theorist? No. I find the term “conspiracy theory” to be of help only to our enemies. I don’t think we should use it.
Operation Paperclip.
Historical Fact
kurt blome
Blome admitted that he had been ordered in 1943 to experiment with plague vaccines on concentration camp prisoners. He was tried at the Doctors’ Trial in 1947 on charges of practicing euthanasia (extermination of sick prisoners), and conducting experiments on humans. Although acquitted, his earlier admissions were well known, and it was generally accepted that he had indeed participated in the gruesome experiments (there is evidence that Blome experimented with Sarin gas on Auschwitz prisoners).
It is believed that American intervention saved Blome from the gallows. In return Blome agreed to provide information to the Americans about his experiments in Dachau and advice in the development of their own germ warfare program. Two months after his Nuremberg acquittal, Blome was transferred to the USA (see Operation Paperclip) and interviewed at Camp David, Maryland about biological warfare. In 1951, he was hired by the U.S. Army Chemical Corps to work on chemical warfare. His file neglected to mention Nuremberg.
Eventually, Blome was arrested by French authorities, convicted of war crimes, and sentenced to 20 years in prison
So, a bit of a cock up by Uncle Sam.
Yes indeed, I am sure they didn’t realise
I will listen to it later. I would recommend that anyone who sees the world in conspiratorial terms looks at the idea of synchro-mysticism – that for example all sorts of things happened on 9/11 but the forces really in control duped the whole of humanity. That date was etched into the side of the great pyramid – I have a book from 1953 that states it. You might wake up tomorrow morning and lean on a kitchen surface waiting for coffee and you hand goes right through it and you are in the middle of last week. If this happens don’t panic – this is perfectly normal. I want to put this out beause the surrounding energy has changed a lot in the last week and from here on in it is going to be crackers. If you are of a godly countenance then you will welcome it.
