It could be argued that the basic arithmetic showing wind power is an economic and societal disaster in the making should be clear to a bright primary school child. Now the Oxford University mathematician and physicist, researcher at CERN and Fellow of Keble College, Emeritus Professor Wade Allison has done the sums. The U.K. is facing the likelihood of a failure in the electricity supply, he concludes. “Wind power fails on every count,” he says, adding that governments are ignoring “overwhelming evidence” of the inadequacies of wind power, “and resorting to bluster rather than reasoned analysis”.
Professor Allison’s dire warnings are contained in a short paper recently published by the Global Warming Policy Foundation. He notes that the energy provided by the Sun is “extremely weak”, which is why it was unable to provide the energy to sustain even a small global population before the Industrial Revolution with an acceptable standard of living. A similar point was made recently in more dramatic fashion by the nuclear physicist Dr. Wallace Manheimer. He argued that the infrastructure around wind and solar will not only fail, “but will cost trillions, trash large portions of the environment and be entirely unnecessary”.
In his paper, Allison concentrates on working out the numbers that lie behind the natural fluctuations in the wind. The full workings out are not complicated and can be assessed from the link above. He shows that at a wind speed of 20mph, the power produced by a wind turbine is 600 watts per square metre at full efficiency. To deliver the same power as the Hinkley Point C nuclear plant – 3,200 million watts – it would require 5.5 million square metres of turbine swept area.
It is noted that this should be quite unacceptable to those who care about birds and other environmentalists. Of course, this concern does not seem to have materialised to date. Millions of bats and birds are calculated to be slaughtered by onshore wind turbines every year. Meanwhile, off the coast of Massachusetts, work is about to start on a giant wind farm, complete with permits to harass and likely injure almost a tenth of the population of the rare North Atlantic Right whale.
When fluctuations in wind speed are taken into account in Allison’s formula, the performance of wind becomes very much worse. If the wind speed drops by half, the power available falls by a factor of eight. Almost worse, he notes, if the wind speed doubles, the power delivered goes up eight times, and the turbine has to be turned off for its own protection.

The effect of the enhanced fluctuations is dramatic, as shown in the graph above. The installed nominal generating capacity in the EU and U.K. in 2021, shown by the brown dashed line, was 236 GW, but the highest daily output was only 103 GW on March 26th. The unreliability is shown to even greater effect in the second graph that plots the wind generated offshore in the U.K. in March last year.

For eight days at the end of the month, power generation slumped, presumably, says Allison, because the wind speed halved. The 8.8 GW daily loss over the period was noted to be 1,000 times the capacity of the world largest grid storage battery at Moss Landings in California. When it comes to the enormous batteries needed to store renewable power, Allison notes the problems with safety, as well as mineral shortages. Batteries will never make good the failure of offshore wind farms, even for a week, and he points out they can fail for much longer than that.
Others have recently looked in more detail at the costs of battery storage. The American lawyer and mathematician Francis Menton, who runs the Manhattan Contrarian site, reviewed recent official cost reports and found that “even on the most optimistic assumptions” the cost could be as high as a country’s GDP. On less optimistic assumptions, the capital cost alone could be 15 times annual GDP. Last year, Associate Professor Simon Michaux warned the Finnish Government that there were not enough minerals in the world to supply all the batteries needed for Net Zero. Michaux observed that the Net Zero project may not go fully “as planned”. Meanwhile, Menton concluded, with an opinion that some might consider unduly charitable: “It is hard to avoid the conclusion that the people planning the Net Zero transition have no idea what they are doing.”
Professor Allison has done his sums based on basic physics and freely available information. “Whichever way you look at it, wind power is inadequate. It is intermittent and unreliable; it is exposed and vulnerable; it is weak with a short life-span,” he concludes.

At least there’s some hope for the future.
I’m part of the third that’s not part of the herd.
So am I, although I am in an older age group!
Yay, the control group is growing.
And that is what the Government is terrified of
It’s not a vaccine, that’s why.
Hold the fuckin’ line people!
Yes, do not give these tyrants a fucking inch. Vive la résistance!
Another factor here is that absolutely nobody has the faintest clue how many people there are in the country. I didn’t fill in my census form and I’m a lifelong resident and British citizen. There are millions more people living in this country than the official figures suggest.
I’m sure Google can tell the government everything about everybody in the country
The genius of 5eyes setting up a private intelligence agency to spy on their own populations.
Good point! Ten years ago one of the supermarket chains thought it was 80 million – probably even more now.
I think the water companies also said it was way more than the official figures.
The EU did have it uses… Check this site out https://uwwtd.eu/United-Kingdom/ It gives an accurate indicator of the load on the waste water system in terms of population. For my own area I suspected the population was higher than the ONS figures suggested and this proved it.
Look at those lovely flat lining curves!
Funny how the more the propaganda gets increased, the more folk say ‘jeff off big brother’
Yup. Looks like they’ve reached peak bullying in the adult population.
These days I always take official government statistics with an open mind.
If I assume that a third of under 40’s havent been injected, then Im dismayed its such a low percentage and that two thirds were willing take part in an experimental sequenced gene therapy trial that will not be concluded until 2023.
Can the trials ever conclude if the control groups get vaxxed before the trial concludes
Good point, it can take decades to assess the impact of traditional vaccines.
I can only guess they already know how many will be killed or injured with this experiment by 2023?
My guess is (and I’m no an expert in this field), that the trials can be concluded but the conclusions won’t be worth the (virtual) paper they’re written on. It also means that if the vaccinated all start to:
A. die off at alarming rates from some sort of cancer (negative outcome) or . . .
B. survive some type of cancer that would previously have killed them (positive outcome)
. . .they won’t be able to attribute either outcome to the vaccine because there’s no control group. As the adverse reactions totally swamp any positive reactions (are there any?), this situation will suit both the government and big pharma very well. The cynic in me thinks that this is one of the reasons they want as many people as possible to have the vaccine, i.e. so that the unvaxxed don’t become the default control group.
What trial? Big Pharma does what it always does – as soon as a trial is concluded a success they then “vaccinate” the unvaxed. control group.
We refuseniks are the only true control group left.
It would be wonderful evidence based medicine for our health to be monitored as against the vaxed.
I’m sure the powers that be have all this in hand.
If they’re actually admitting to 1/3 of under 40s, is it cynical of me to suspect that the number is actually higher? I am disinclined to believe a syllable that comes out of the government’s mouths these days.
Cynical, yes, but also spot on!
It can never be concluded.
The “Control Group” were deliberately injected not long after the start of the so-called study.
jolly good news
Petition: Repeal the Coronavirus Act
The powers given to the UK Government under the Coronavirus Act have gone on too long and has greatly affected many people’s lives and the economics of this country. The restrictions that have been put in place under these powers should be ended by repealing this Act in its entirety.
Come on folks. We may be between a rock and a hard place (sorry for the Americanism) but at the very least we should all sign this Petition.
Read more about it and sign it here –
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/592632
Nearly 24,000 signatures already!
Not a new petition, I seem to have already signed it.
Have they stopped hassling people as much? I’m over 40 (although not by much) and earlier in the year I was getting regular harassment – the blue-envelope letters quite often, text messages every week. I complained repeatedly and they eventually told me there was no way to opt out – but I’ve heard nothing at all for several months now. Long may it continue!
I’m under 40 and I too was bombarded earlier in the year. At one point I was receiving a text message every day, and that lasted for several weeks. As it happens I got a text message about 2 weeks ago informing me that the Delta variant was rampant in my local town (ooooooohhhh!) and I should run to the v centre to have my jab asap, but before that there was quite a large break in the harassment being hurled my way. The sheer volume of it could definitely break the spirit of somebody who was on the fence.
I’m 51 and got 3 texts – 2 from NHS and 1 from GP
Then it stopped
Then I had lots of phone calls I never answered – could be them I suppose
I am 63 and had 3 letters, 3 phone messages, 3 texts and the delta is spreading in your area and be very afraid message. Then a text from my gp practice with a little video with my gp telling me no one is safe until we are all safe ….!!!!! but they also offered an opt out which I did and nothing else since. I am utterly appalled at the coercion. So glad we are all standing together.
Pretty certain I had covid in March 2020 and since I survived I am sure I would be likely to survive any further infection would. The more they push the firmer I stand my ground!
I’d be changing GP too.
Who To – Drs White/Kendrick etc ?
I’m a little bit younger than you and received the promotional leaflet and letter in the post in March. As it had no address to return it to, or any obvious way of doing anything other than booking an appointment (it’s all been done at a hired central location rather than GP surgeries where I live), I did not reply to it at all. Instead, I wrote to the surgery at which I’m registered and said no, in effect. Sent it by email, and they replied in less than an hour, in which they just said that if I changed my mind, they’d put me on the “waiting list” – probably just an automatic term used for many things. Nothing more at all from them, and just one more promotional letter which I ignored, and nothing more from that organisation either.
My attitude is pretty much like yours. There’s a vague possibility that I might have dealt with it before it was officially announced at the back end of 2019. No one is interested in that, except by selling upmarket services for T cell assessment. There’s a little bit about that in the Forum today.
64, two letters then I found the waiver form and filled in the “behind me satan” bit and added some reasons on a separate sheet. Nothing since then.
I received two letters, three texts and two phone calls from my surgery, I answered the second call and asked the caller to provide me with up to date percentages of adverse reactions in my age group with my medical history, she couldn’t (obviously) I then informed her that I felt under increasing harrassment to get jabbed, she replied that they didn’t want anyone to feel harrassed and ive heard nothing since for five months.
I had three letters from them but not heard anything for the last two months.
I’m under 40. I only received one letter. No text messages or phone calls from anyone. Maybe I’ve fallen out of the system?
Lucky you!
Also under 40 and only one letter, from ‘the NHS’ not my GP. There’s not even anything on my surgery website about jabs…and I’m in the Oadby & Wigston area too. Guess they don’t want any liability when it all goes horribly wrong.
Just to add that in my case it wasn’t the GP who was the problem – they only contacted me one, and stopped when I asked them to. The harassment came direct from NHS England.
I’m a little over 60. I got one nagging letters; two text messages and one phone call (I put the phone down on them) ….. and then they stopped.
Percentages based on the official population figure of 67million, not the actual population figures determined by Tesco to be 80 million based on how many meals they’re selling.
This isn’t known to be a fact though. At least take it with a pinch of salt.
I’d trust Tesco’s logistics software over the government any day of the week.
It may be true, I never said it wasn’t, but the fact is it remains hearsay.
I think a far stronger argument would be to assert that the methods used for estimating the population are far from reliable and that the government has a vested interest in deceiving the public. These facts alone are enough to cast doubt on the veracity of population figures.
I’m one of them. I’ll never be coerced.
According to that graph more 18-24y olds had the injection than 25-30y old.
See what the propaganda from the universities has achieved. Sad.
It’s possibly because 18-24 year olds are more easily bribed by the risk of losing access to concerts, clubs and even study. The 25-30 bracket are maybe a little more settled and go out less?
I don’t understand why anybody under 60 let alone 40 would have the vaccine. Bedwetters
‘I don’t understand why anybody
under 60 let alone 40would have the vaccine”.Good for them.
When the VAX pass hits, the hospitality sector is going to get hit much harder than the care sector. No VAX, no job is the logical conclusion if 100% of punters must be vax’f
I fully expect my unvax’d Son to be finished from his part time job in hospitality. Maybe the vaccinated middle classes will fill the gaping hole left behind by him and his coworkers lol?
Given the risk profiles of the different age groups, the chart makes perfect sense. Why would people under 40 be queueing up to take a jab to protect them from a disease that won’t be worse than a bad cold for most of them? If anything, I’m surprised that so many young people have signed up for it, given that it’s not actually necessary for them.
Also, why would you bother if you’ve had the coronavirus before? I’m sure that a huge percentage of the people aren’t excited about taking the jab have already had it.
Why is the government and media focussing on the jab percentage in any case rather than more meaningful figures like: how many people are dying; how many people are ending up in intensive care; and how many people have antibodies. Who cares what the jabbing percentage is?
The government cares because it want 100% compliance.
We have more than enough compliance at the moment that if the jabs actually worked then we’d already have achieved herd immunity. Unfortunately, it turns out that they are performing well under expectations and so lots of people are testing positive still. Time to admit that the silver bullet didn’t kill the werewolf and move to plan B.
When winter comes, we will see not only are the vaccines not a silver bullet, but they are a poison apple. I don’t believe Israel would see the levels of infection it has if ADE weren’t evident to some degree,
There can be NO herd / community immunity via a gene therapy injection.
Real immunity in the population can only be obtained by letting the infection spread naturally.
Not compliance with the aim of achieving herd immunity!
The compliance I refer to is that of obedience to the state, to doing what you’re told and giving up your right to bodily integrity. THAT is the aim of this satanic government.
On the subject of which, I had a theory which I havent yet seen expressed.
It’s a given there will be another lockdown (with masks) this month or at most next.
What if the next lockdown is ONLY for the unvaxxed?
Well it could happen . . .
I’m 37 and instead of having a dodgy jab, I thought I’d take my chances with covid. Eventually I caught it and for me, it was nowhere near as bad as the flu I once had a few years ago.
I hope you’re well now, and evidently in a good position to declare no confidence in any mad policy being promoted, and exempt from the use of any such device!
What they are actually doing is in line with an ONS “hesitancy survey” back in the winter. They are sticking to their guns, by the look of it.
We always learn a lot from the dog that didn’t bark. In this case, it’s the absence of a government-sponsored live debate between, say, Yeadon, McCullough, Malone & Fleming and any 4 government scientists, to address the holdouts intelligently. Instead, all the government does is cajole and bully.
I always think this:
they could quite easily persuade me to take the vaccine if they show me the data that demonstrate:
1) risk of catching and suffering enduring morbidity from COVID for my sex, age group, BMI normal, no comorbidity cohort is massively higher (at least double, but ideally ten fold) than risk of the same for the vaccine
(never seen this data by age cohort let alone with other risk factors built in, but I am fairly sure it must exist)
2) long term safety data for things like cancer, autoimmune disease are all good
(10-15 years you say? It’s ok, I will wait)
3) there is no risk of ADE as antibodies wane and/or new variants that have greater affinity for vaccine induced binding antibodies evolve (/are released from Wuhan)
(what do you mean you can’t? Is there ANYTHING you can say that will assure me this risk isn’t a real possibility?)
Very happy to have the vaccine if these criteria are met. I’m very much in favour of vaccines if they enhance my chances of avoiding all cause morbidity or mortality. Just show me the data.
“In God we trust, everyone else needs to bring data”
I have less stringent criteria:
First and second might be likely in the next few years. Third seems less likely.
And Dr Sam Bailey. Any of the GBD authors. Dr Sucharit Bhakdi… I know who I’d rather invite to a dinner party.
Sam Bailey believes that viruses do not exist, has a book to sell to the gullible, a misinformation website to fund and is ridiculed by real scientists.
The real scientists that authored the GBD though is a good call.
That’s a third of the fighting age males and includes the ones with not much to lose. I know which side I’d rather be on.
That’s a good point. If the vaccines do have a negative effect on fertility we can look forward to a much less timid population (some might say more anti-social).
I sometimes wonder whether as many people have taken up the jab offer as we are being led to believe – the numbers are not as high as they say they are and the behavioural psychologist team are up to their dirty old tricks again – pressuring us to conform by inflating the figures of the vaccinated – I walk past my local jab center every day and its virtually empty every time I look in. I wouldn’t put it past them to inflate the vaccination figures – its not as if they don’t have a track record of misleading us – they’ve been manipulating and lying to us from the start..
I could be wrong though.
As long as the majority of the sheeple are asleep it doesn’t actually matter if less people have been jabbed than we’ve been led to believe. Real (or falsely inflated) high numbers of people taking up the jab offer will have the effect of pressuring a percentage of the remaining healthy young people into getting the jab because they think ‘everyone else has had it, so I should too’.
Hold the line, folks! Young, fit and healthy don’t need it.
You can coerce some of the people some of the time. That time looks like it’s at an end
I’m one of those who have decided not to take up the offer of an experimental jab. I’ve had covid so I don’t need a jab anyway. If that means missing out on stuff then so be it.
Hold the line folks.
Hold. The. Line.
Proud to be clot shot free.
This is sure to be pissing off Little Willy Gates, Klaus Schwab, Big Pharma et al. Unless all, or the overwhelmingly great majority across all age groups, take the jab it can’t be said that planned and statistically engineered falling case/death rates will be due to the wonderful “vaccine”. Thus a lucrative future where everyone is jabbed every 5 minutes, on pain of being treated as passportless outcasts, can’t be assured.
Hurrah. An anxious Little Willy will be playing with himself even more than usual.
https://uk.yahoo.com/news/robert-peston-positive-covid-double-jabbed-vaccine-131009300.html
More evidence that passports would be totally useless.
Juvenile but so worth it considering it’s peston.
With figures flat-lining like this it is reasonable to conclude that people have done their research. People will also have concluded this show has been lie after lie. Ramping up the marketing:
“Look her in the eye and tell her she’s a crap actor,” will achieve absolutely Zilch.
So, it is probably going to get very nasty.
We Hold the Line.
I want to see one which shows a father and two kids by their mother’s grave, died of potentially treatable breast cancer.
“Look them in the eyes, and tell them that Mummy’s death was worth it”.
Obviously the more of us the better. If I were at all cynical I’d think that maybe the plan all along was to cull the unthinking so that the meek (slow thinkers) shall inherit the earth. This leads one to wonder whether the elite took the poison – maybe just got a saline jab instead.
We’ve got to stand firm. We are the control group after all.
Not a single person on the planet has had a ‘Covid Vaccine‘ – Lots of people have been subjected to experimental mRNA injections. Loving the Radio 4 Nuremberg Series. Interesting how the Beeb are trying to warn us in other ways: Updated information, resources and useful links: https://www.LCAHub.org/
Maybe the other 3rd have had Covid, so can’t see the point. What is the point?
… and nor will they. Ever. It’s not vaccine hesitancy, it’s vaccine adamancy. The lies and deceptions our overlords thought necessary to cajole the masses into accepting a lifetime of boosters, digital currency and ever shifting restrictions have in fact created millions of hardened dissidents who will never submit. Own goal, motherfuckers! Now either round up all 14,000,000 of us and hope you’ve got the resources to do so (you don’t!) or drop the whole charade and await your day in an international criminal court.
Anyone into numbers will know the significance of a third.
Fingerprints are all over it.
The Control Group is growing and the ‘official’ figures are a joke.
