Zero Covid Zealot Jacinda Arden Cancels Wedding, Imposes Mini-Lockdown and Insists on a 24-Day Isolation Period After New Zealand Recorded 84 New Covid Cases on Saturday

3 min read

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden has cancelled her wedding as her Government imposes new restrictions to slow the community spread of the Omicron variant. Reuters has more

New Zealand will impose mask rules and limit gathering from midnight on Sunday after a cluster of nine COVID-19 Omicron cases showed community spread from the North to South islands after a wedding.

A family returned to Nelson in the South Island by plane after attending a wedding and other events in Auckland in the North Island. The family and a flight attendant tested positive.

New Zealand will move to a red setting under its COVID-19 protection framework, with more mask wearing. Indoor hospitality settings such as bars and restaurants and events like weddings will be capped at 100 people. The limit is lowered to 25 people if venues are not using vaccine passes, Arden said.

“My wedding will not be going ahead,” she told reporters, adding she was sorry for anyone caught up in a similar scenario. Ardern had not disclosed her wedding date, but it was rumoured to be imminent.

Asked by reporters how she felt about the cancellation of her wedding to longtime partner and fishing-show host Clarke Gayford, Ardern replied: “Such is life.”

She added, “I am no different to, dare I say it, thousands of other New Zealanders who have had much more devastating impacts felt by the pandemic, the most gutting of which is the inability to be with a loved one sometimes when they are gravely ill. That will far, far outstrip any sadness I experience.”

New Zealand’s borders have been shut to foreigners since March 2020. The government pushed back plans for a phased reopening from mid-January to the end of February out of concern about a potential Omicron outbreak as in neighbouring Australia.

People able to travel to New Zealand under narrow exceptions must apply to stay at state-managed quarantine facilities. The government last week stopped issuing any new slots amid a surge in the number of people arriving with Omicron.

About 94% of New Zealand’s population over the age of 12 is fully vaccinated and about 56% of those eligible have had booster shots.

According to MailOnline, New Zealand will make household contacts of Covid cases isolate for 24 days.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has brought in the strict measures as the country battles to stay Covid Zero despite the threat of the highly contagious mutant strain.

But critics say the lengthy quarantine period is ‘unworkable’ and will lead people to avoid getting tested.

Anyone infected with Covid is now required to isolate for 14 days, up from 10 days under the new interim rules.

Household contacts must then stay in quarantine for a further 10 days, stretching the time alone out to three and a half weeks.

Jacinda Arden is behaving like a character in a Don’t Look Up-style satire about the absurd lengths Zero Covid fanatics will go to avoid abandoning their crackpot agenda. Ninety-four per cent of the over-12s vaccinated and the toothy tyrant still won’t give them their freedom back.

Worth reading in full.

Utterly deranged. Lockdown fanatical NZ have painted themselves into a corner. Two years of isolation will have depressed people’s immune systems to the point that they will never return to normal. The Covid they’re so terrified of will run wild if they open their borders.

Hopefully they will be seen as a petri dish that proves the pointless futility of Lockdown.

Speaking from NZ I can confirm it is going from the absurd to the sublime here. Our crackpot leader , her bespecled health advisor Bloomfield, and various other ‘experts’ all seem utterly obsessed with conquering the unconquerable.
The fact their lockdown strategy failed in our largest city last year led them to saving face by adopting a ‘traffic light’ system and pushing vaccination as the mana from heaven.
They forced vaccination passes on people, vilified the unvaccinated, and claimed once we reached 90 percent double vaxxed we’d be saved. Will, hallelujah, more than 90 percent are vaxed and still we suffer under mandates. Now boosters are pushed as the be all and end all. It is farcical.
Most people still remain in mass formation like a flock of sheep by their daily exposure to fear ridden ‘updates’ given by a sycophantic media hanging on Ardern and Bloomfields every inane utterance.
However cracks are appearing as people are starting to get suspicious of the narrative and as countries in Europe begin to roll back the tyranny of their responses.

I’ve heard that this figure of 90+ per cent is propaganda and there are a great many who are actively resisting this evil regime.

See voicesforfreedom.co.nz – they have got something good going and they’re getting a lot of support.

Or perhaps she’s been compromised by the CCP?

Incidentally, is it not too convenient for the CCP (which has historically legitimized their rule by delivering economic growth for the Chinese people) if the West blames lockdowns on a German environmentalist rather than them?

They test for the flu since they’ve never isolated Covid-19. Which makes me wonder how they can tell there is a delta variant. They never isolated the virus but they use a test to show the damage of a solution does on monkey kidney cells then show the cellular debris as proof of the virus. So, they can use this method to claim an UNENDING! amount of variants. A lot of cancers and “viruses” are probably just different forms of parasites. Since the tests can’t differentiate between cold and flu and covid then doesn’t that mean ivermectin cures both the cold and the flu? Welcome to “they’ve been lying to us our entire lives about everything”. Get your Ivermectin while you still can! https://ivmpharmacy.com

What happens when they realise hundreds of thousands can get this every day with no real dramas?

at some point they will have to live with with Covid.

the vaccinations will eventually be found to be busted and the world will keep turning.

Correction: New Zealand’s borders are also effectively closed to its own citizens and permanent residents not just ‘foreigners’. MIQ places which were entirely inadequate to meet the demand of people wanting or needing desperately to return home have been suspended entirely at the moment. Because they have wasted the opportunity of the last two years to prepare for Covid’s inevitable wide scale spread within New Zealand a terrified government is taking ever more desperate measures to keep it at bay. Unbelievably in many parts of the country there are no more ICU beds available than there were two years ago for instance.

I do not want to be unkind, but I have long concluded that Ms Arden is a deranged person. What puzzles me is the tolerance and endurance of the New Zealand people. They say, a bit like Scots, that more of them live outside of their homeland than in it. I am not surprised but I would urge them to return before the next elections are due.

We’re nowhere near out-of-the-woods wrt Zero Covid. Yesterday, the BBC had a lengthy propaganda special how wonderfully the Chinese Corona policies had worked in China. Today, pretty much the first thing I found on the internet was one of those heartbreaking stories about 40 year old, perfectly healthy mother of X who sadlidied from COVID in hospital despite she always fanatically stuck to all The Rules. Instead concluding that The Rules apparently didn’t help her one bit, the final message was Heed this dire warning, underlings! Never break The Rules!

The Scottish nutjob-in-chief has meanwhile turned into a lockdown sceptic (according to this site) who seeks to preserve all the wonderful Chinese public health innovations as good as she can. Her most pressing current concern is N95-respirators for everywhere, for all. Of course, KN95 is fine, too. They don’t need to comply to any standards for as long as their Chinese manfactureres can sell them.

And meanwhile no mention of the FOI bombshell from the ONS that in 2020 and 2021 the total number of deaths from Covid alone was 17,000. That’s right 17,000!!! But no the MSM ignore that, not a mention. Wonder why. The hubris is immense.

According to this freedom of information request, the number of deaths where COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned on the death certificate, 1 February 2020 to 31 December 2021 for England and Wales was 6,183

See attached where I’ve totalled the figures

A figure of 18,907 (for 2020 and 2021) relates to the number of ‘covid’ deaths with no pre-existing conditions in England and Wales.

The quarter 4 of 2021 figures are in the monthly mortality analysis data, and adding earlier quarters gets you to the 18,907 figure.

The equivalent of this 18,907 figure is what John Campbell talked about in a recent video although he gives your figure of about 17,371 that goes up to the third quarter of 2021 rather than the end of 2021.

Must admit I’m struggling to understand how these figures of 6,183 and 18,907 are so different. Perhaps some of the 18,907 who died with no pre-existing conditions died because of a new health condition listed on the death certificate made in conjunction with ‘covid’?
