- “Progress is being made in some areas thanks to the pandemic” – Despite their strong criticism of high-Ct PCR testing during the pandemic, Carl Heneghan and Tom Jefferson explain that low-Ct PCR testing does give a sound indication of infectious virus prevalence: “PCR, far from being a shot in the dark, can accurately predict (if properly done) who matters in an epidemic and who does not, seen with a public health scope.”
- “‘Long Covid’: The Truth at Long Last” – The Swiss Doctor makes some helpful points about the new Long Covid study, but brace yourself for the grating tone. Also, it’s worth noting that the study in question, in a sensitivity analysis that removed less certain cases, did find post-infective fatigue syndrome (PIFS) to be just 6.2% higher in those who’d had Covid than those who hadn’t, a difference that was not statistically significant, so it wasn’t just an issue with the definition of Long Covid.

Yes, a boy called Rose. Who I’m sure will at no point miss having his own mum.
- “Labour should hang their heads in shame over the grooming scandals” – ‘Cultural sensitivity’ always means sensitivity to one culture alone, “and it sure as hell isn’t the culture of white working-class girls”, says Allison Pearson in the Telegraph.
- “Canadian politician Kristyn Wong-Tam, who uses the pseudo-pronouns ‘they/them’, proposes legislation to criminalise ‘offensive remarks’ within 100 metres of a Drag Queen Story Hour” – They want to eliminate free speech and turn normal people into criminals, says Christopher Rufo.
