As the Pandemic hurtles towards its endemic phase, all this talk of vaccines and boosters is superfluous there may be too little time for all that, as if in preparation for a new phase of understanding ZOE have made a sensible change to the plots, they have broken infections into two groups. Infections which are mostly Cold type in nature, you know, tired, runny nose,blocked up, sore throat but not on the chest, as we used to say, and another type, which they call Respiratory, that's all the above and it is on your chest. I've been led to believe that many Omicron infections are cold type. But some might be respiratory, in the lungs.
In the current phase it seems sensible to lump things which feel like a col into the Cold category, since the consequences are alike, and to keep the more severe category for the few Omicron cases that turn bad, if we can trun public perception of most Covid is cold-like, as it goes Endemic, then I think this long period of Endemicity can start.Anyway, I think that's the plan.
