Is there a beginning of an excess [vaccine] death signal in the ONS data?
It is difficult at this time of year due to bank holidays but taking blocks of weeks should iron things out a bit.
Week 14-20 inclusive five year average E&W ,
that excludes the “plague year” of 2020
was 70,800
Week 14-20 inclusive for 2022 was 77,250.
Last two weeks of ONS data was 12,000 and 11,500 which is unprecedented at this time of year as deaths over 10,000 can be seen below.
