Well it was a cute one-liner but just as incorrect as the erroneous "explanation" of the other poster.
The actual situation is that if the efficacy of the vaccines were as claimed the vaccinated case rates would be substantially lower than the un-vaccinated. As it seems there is no such huge difference in case rates then, as explained elsewhere, the claimed efficacy for these vaccines is untrue. And in this particular situation fraudulent.
Thats the mathematics. So Splats comment is both flippant and false.
If the current vaccines used a traditional delivery mechanism and have traditional adverse reaction mortality rates then I would have no problem with that fact. This is a very well established pattern with these mass vaccination scenarios in the past. Like the flu shot. Problem is none of these SARs CoV 2 vaccines types have any history of regulatory approval and the adverse reaction mortality rates are unprecedented for a mass inoculation vaccine against a low risk profile infection .
Only yesterday I was searching VAERS for another SID death in the last 30 years of a baby that had not been directly exposed to a vaccine. Have not found any other cases so far apart from the one in March 2021 involving the Pfizer SARs CoV 2 vaccine. Transmitted it seems by breast feeding. Infant vaccines have a remarkably good safety record given the many billions of doses over the decades but of all the possible vaccine related baby SID deaths in the last 30 years in the US only one seems to be by indirect transmission. From a SARs CoV 2 vaccine. One of the predicted potential dangerous side effects of mRNA type vaccines.
The claimed high efficacy for SARs CoV 2 vaccines is the last fig leaf the mass vaccination policy can hide behind. Blow that away and you see just how remarkable under-endowed the people pushing the policy actually are. In this case in any public health scientific justification for the policy.
I am finding the cognitive dissonance very difficult these days, the difference between the message from state actors and then from experts is bipolar.

Once the senior officials in the state appart decide on a course of action where reversing the policy would cause them a severe loss of face, loss of power, and potentially down the road , prosecution for their irresponsible decisions, they will continue with their current policy to utter destruction .
The policy decisions of the higher level people in the Soviet Union the late Brezhnev / post Brezhnev era being the classic example of this. The appart only allowed any reversal under Gorbachev (the KGB candidate) as a last desperate attempt to save themselves and their power. No other reason. But by that stage the rot was too far gone to be reformed. BY good luck.
The vaccination of children is all part of the justification of the vaccination of old people with experimental vaccines Its all political. There is no rational argument or scientific basis involved. You will find as much rational basic for the vaccination of children decision as for the one that kept all farm land in the Soviet Union under collective control. Even though agricultural production had collapsed and most food was produced on the tiny amount of land under private ownership at the time.
The most mild mannered people in positions of power (often with the very best of intentions) will cause the most terrible things to happen to protect their position and power. The more they are in error the more desperately they will try to hang onto to their position and prestige. And the more harm they do to general society.
