I have just written a short report on this for my wesbsite. Basically, most Covid Misinformation is now coming from goverment officials.
As you know government has cracked down hard on covid misinformation.
I asked them if they would use or update their tough covid misinformation rules to crack down on Government officials. The answer is no. So it's partygate all over again: one rule for us and another for them!!

Yes there are occasional mistakes in statements, especially from politicians.
But if you think this accounts for "most misinformation", you are not looking wide enough. It's possible this is a mistake, so here is some guidance.
Try looking at the stuff written by the authors, forum members and commenters to articles on this site. Follow the things that most believe to be true and you will start to get the picture. There is loads of anti-vaxx, denial, conspiracy stuff to look at.
If it turns out that you agree with them, you should question your judgement.

it's pretty good, they actually seem to co-operate together. Such simulations never prepare you for when a true disaster strikes. It's always a shock.

All that bad data in the VAERS DB, could have been avoided if the data entry screen had a lookup function on the lot number, to prevent the automatic generation of bogus lot numbers on common data entry errors, which leads to the phantom batches observed.

the best option is to discount the VAERS DB since is too flakey in every respect to be useful.
But it's the "go-to" tool for anti-vaxx nutters.
there are ways the CDC could improve the VAERS system, and they should do so, but as things stand, I fear it is too corrupted to be useful. You are right, in its current state full of bogus lot IDs it is a gift to Reiner Fool-me and Mike Yeadon.
