I know there’s all sorts of stats and things kicking about but can anyone explain how the government gets away with saying 1 in 3 has no symptoms but then expects everyone to get the jab. By my reckoning that’s nearly 20 million people will have covid with no effect but will have been jabbed? Why?
This claim was debunked at the time.it was really being pushed by Prof Norman Fenton if you look back a few months, by analysing the public data on symptomatic infection versus other data. The 1 in 3 claim simply didn't stack up mathematically. I don't know it if holds more or less water now.
It was just fearmongering and propaganda then anyway to drive social distancing, mask-wearing and general suspicion and fear in the population so I doubt it was founded on any evidence.
@coronanationstreet - You mention data, maths, and evidence. Along with "the science", they are the fashionable gods to call on nowadays when a person, "professional" or otherwise, is insisting on the correctness of whatever idea they have in their head. But it's obvious that very large numbers of people have inhaled one or more SARSCoV2 viruses and didn't get any symptoms because they killed the virus off with their innate immune systems without antibodies having to enter the field. Look at all the people in supermarkets who wear cloth masks, for example. Most of them will have been infected ages ago. And many of us have strong immune systems - we take exercise, we make sure we get enough of several vitamins, plus iron, we're vegetarians, we don't stuff our faces with cake and toxic additives, etc. If fat-arsed boozer slobs of politicians can get the virus and beat it after a day or two of flu-type symptoms, many in the population must have whacked it for six without noticing.
That'd be because you cannot tell in advance which 1 in 3 will have no symptoms, so they recommend to protect all from severe illness and death.
@ewloe Almost everyone has an ailment of some sort, known or unknown, at almost all times. It's why so many people including parents of young children with late diagnosed cancer will die early, unnecessarily, when they could have been saved, because of the govt's lockdown policy based on the emotional blackmail of "saving the NHS" by effectively closing it down for a year.

The vaxx passes will be extended until they cover all aspects of life and work and will subsequently morph into a digital ID. Soon you will have a carbon budget, social credit score and programmable digital currency which the Gov can dictate how it can be spent.
We are on a 1 way ride to digital serfdom where you will own nothing and you WILL be happy. A world where meat and travel is rationed for you while the rich carry on partying like its 2019.

Having all these crazy beliefs must be very tiring.
You can soothe yourself by considering the incompetence of governments and their general inability to accomplish anything complex.
1 in 3 will be asymptomatic OR pre-symptomatic.
That's how they justify that figure.
They really don't have reliable data at all for true asymptomatics due to the testing structure.
Pre-symptomatics are most definitely contagious.
But it's irrelevant now as over 90% of the population are estimated ( in a more accurate way than the 1 in 3 figure was ever arrived) to have antibodies to protect them whereas when the 1 in 3 figure was first touted that wasn't the case.
The main thing now should be antibody testing out of which to ensure those at risk protect themselves, to the extent they wish to do so either by weighing up the risks vs benefits of the jabs or working out other ways to reduce their exposure.
