The snag is that there appear to be some intelligent MPs who are in the Tory Party, as it happens. They are only getting away with it on account of having a large majority, after all, some of their ‘backbenchers’ are not keen on lockdown, or anything to do with it. In the end, it could be down to the 1922 committee to sort them out.
Hope you are right, but I am afraid I have seen this film before, in Russia. The lead actors had names like Yavlinsky and Nemtsov. People able to see through and cut through the absurd pretense. But they were up against the monolith, and the monolith won't move.

It looks like a response to COUNCIL's RECOMMENDATION of 7 December 2018 on strengthened cooperation against vaccine-preventable diseases. I'd say they have been discussing viruses in the EU, as part of the job of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (‘ECDC’). The EU have always seemed a bit too socialist for my liking, hence I was a committed Brexiter from the start.
Nonetheless, in the borderless superstate once you have vaccines it is necessary to keep track of who has had what, esp. since the EU was committed to ever closer integration. This is what ever closer integration means. The borderless superstate looks unlikely transpire now, although vaccine passport may be required for trade and tourism reasons.There is no way around it. The world is becoming more integrated; it always has been.
The elites see two closely interlinked problems with our society -
Overpopulation - this is the big one! All those invested in the "Rona" and their elite friends hold the view that the planet is massively overpopulated.
I think that is crystal clear to all and sundry. The solution is far from clear. The UK's population has ballooned. The cities are a mess. People should not have children if they need benefits to bring them up. The country is overrun. I'm fed up with it.
