I hardly slept a wink last night after reading this. I wish it was possible to bottle hatred and fling it at the architects of this mess.

He is not going for zero covid. They are stalling for time.

They need to give Govey time to get the vaxx passes ready for launch. If they release the proles now they have blown the only leverage they will have to make the masses accept the vaxx passes. Am I the only one who thinks this is now obvious?

The review of vaxx passes is due to report back June 21st. This means they must stall easing of lockdown for another 12 weeks to get as much of the population vaxxed as they can using "freedom" as the carrot. While at the same time getting the infrastructure and legislation in place for the vaxx passes.

The Government is stalling for time that is what is happening now. Restrictions MUST remain until they are ready to roll out the vaxx passes.

Rolling back, we also need to remind ourselves of the science underpinning the whole thing which is that there are x number of cases based on one or more ways of determining that (including symptoms which are hardly unique to covid and/or a test which detects dead virus) and models which supposedly say on the basis it is x today ot will y by the end of [whatever period they choose] and fear-mongering about death.

I know they have a hard time against the Communist totalitarians in SAGE, social authoritarians in the left and the govt propagandists in the BBC and elsewhere but it's about time whoever is capable of doing it started forensically picking apart the previous data and showing what the actual numbers were (or more accurately were) in the run up to the Christmas shut down and the latest lockdown as the testing and models were what was relied on. If, as admitted, the PCR test wasn't used properly then what was the REAL picture before Christmas? If it was wildly different then what was the difference and can it be shown the govt misled the public?

The HART report was a good read and I for one am grateful for the hard work which has gone into it but the reality is it has taken until March 2021 to produce and insofar as the govt is concerned the reaction is just "computer says no".

It needs an ongoing daily effort countering each measure the govt is relying upon to continue this abuse of the British people.

There's simply not enough noise and most people still believe this benign govt has our best interests at heart and we just have to wait and wait and wait to avoid killing granny.

And then there'll be another round of "new variant > vaccines might not work > stay at home > protect the half empty inefficient NHS > wait for your pass to getting your freedoms back to be ready to be rolled out by which time all the economy linked to hospitality and fun will be dead or too expensive for the masses to enjoy > by the way that was just phase 1 > in three months another lockdown will happen
