For what it's worth (probably nothing) I have written to my MP (in an admittedly very emotive way) in the hope that she might, finally, see that voting to renew these authoritarian laws is a bad thing.
Here's the text of my letter:

Dear Ms. De Cordova,
I trust, like me, that you were appalled at the awful scenes at Clapham Bandstand last Saturday night. What was a peaceful and rather beautiful vigil in honour of Sarah Everard was broken up violently by the police. Most egregiously, at least one defenceless woman was forced to the floor as burly policemen knelt on her back to handcuff her. And this was done to “keep her safe”. If it were not so awful and upsetting, this supposed justification would be comically absurd.
However, it is no good blaming the police for what happened, they were only doing the job they’ve been made to do. It is now more important than ever that you understand that you, personally, are responsible for this event. Saturday night’s events were the inevitable result of this Conservative Government’s authoritarian laws that you personally have repeatedly voted for. With respect, it is breathtakingly naïve or worse, ignorant, for MPs to wring their hands and blame the police for this episode. It is MPs that have made the laws that the police are required to enforce. I repeat, the responsibility for this terrible event rests with you personally.
Happily, you have an early opportunity to partially redeem yourself. The current Covid restrictions are up for review on 25 March. If you truly want to prevent a recurrence of Saturday’s events, and if you truly want to prevent more innocent woman being wrestled to the floor just because they wish to honour a murdered woman, then you must vote against any renewal of those restrictions.
If you do not, I hope that the knowledge of your responsibility for this and all such future events will hang heavy on your conscience.
