What is noticeable is that the second dose has more-or-less flat-lined for the last five weeks.
Around here everyone has been given a 2nd dose appointments on exactly their 12th week so you'd expect the second dose curve to mirror that of 12 weeks ago other than some slight bumps before the policy change.
Well, this is the official unadulterated NHS data.
We should all know better than having expectations of government figures, both data and individuals.
I should add that this chart has not reached 12 weeks yet - and that Wales is not included!
Much as I admire the refusal on principle stance, I am quite keen on the fake passport idea. These would eventually appear in the stats as resistance.
I'm not getting it either. I won't be blackmailed with my freedom to get it, no way. And the same goes for my husband.
Ben shirley and fudge excellent posts. I share all.of your sentiments. I am unlikely to see italy again one of my favourite holiday destinations and have already come to terms with that. How dare some junker up wankers from the top down try and blackmail me to roll up my sleeve for a mass experiment with my life.. I can tell you now it's not for my benefit or the plebs.
Ben Shirley thank you for your concise words I couldn’t agree with you more.
I’m 29 have worked in a primary school throughout, no cases here, husband a PC and only knows of 2 recent cases. We’ve fortunately been very lucky to not get covid and are both fit and healthy.
I’ve read through the vaccine data and assessed my own health and have completed my risk assessment. I’ve concluded that I don’t need the vaccine and to me personally, the vaccine could be more risky than Covid itself. To make things more stressful we’re trying to conceive and with fudgy info around fertility I don’t want to take the chance.
I find the idea of domestic passports disgusting and immoral. It genuinely has given me so much anxiety and I’m starting to feel depressed. This media pressure to have a vaccine that I don’t want terrifies me. It is not an answer for my ‘freedom’,my freedom was unwillingly taken from me in the first place and I don’t need to ‘earn’ it back with a vaccine.
I am prepared to not go abroad, I will not give up my body autonomy because of peer pressure and potential health problems later down the line. Is anyone else feeling like the media pressure is getting to them? I noticed that one of the 4 points to get out of lockdown was the continuing success of the vaccine. I was hopeful that uptake would reduce down the age groups but I think other young people see it as - I can go on holiday, go to a festival and so on without a care in the world for their *real* freedom.
Would love to know other people’s thoughts, I feel that I’m alone in not wanting the vaccine.
** just to be clear I’m not anti-vax, I’ve had the usual, and some to travel to Asia. Also absolutely no judgement on those who do want it, it is their decision, but please be respectful of mine**
I do feel your pain. I'm 23 and haven't travelled abroad for several years anyway because I've not been able to afford it. Given that the lockdown has merely served to reduce my employment opportunities and upset my economic foundations, it's a rubbish bargaining tool for me, even if I was inclined to prostitute my body for some paltry freedom ration. Like you, I also hope to have a family one day, so it is not my wish to take anything that could compromise my fertility. Mainly, though, as I said in my earlier post, it just comes down to the straightforward question of what is morally right and wrong. Co-operating with this evil regime is no different from co-operating with any other evil regime in history.
Please don't feel depressed, though. Despite the pressure on you to conform, you're one of relatively few people sticking their neck out to do the right thing. Take some solace from that.
