Ok, if you look at the EuroMoMo data for excess deaths in Europe and filter to the under 45-64 year olds, you see a really old spike in England and Portugal but nowhere else ( https://www.euromomo.eu/graphs-and-maps ). The spike stars at around week 51 (2020) and peaks in week 2 (2021) in both England and Portugal, which is really odd. You can see a similar picture in the 15-44 year age group.
As these are not the age groups in which you would expect to see excess deaths from Covid, what is going on?
Could these be vaccine deaths or is there another reason for this spike?
Does anyone have any actual scientific data that explains these spikes in excess deaths in the younger age groups, in these 2 countries?
Those age groups generally are not vaccinated at all at this point.
The portugal one does look strange - any hypotheses? how many excess deaths does this z-score really refer to. Any news on portugese vaccinations e.g. front-line workers etc who may fall in this age group
