The irony is that many sceptics are against the solution (vaccines)

The door to door testing is a farce.

The samples were taken no later than the 1st and 2nd week of January. Its had a months head start on them.

You'll never ever win a game of virus variant what-a-mole. You're literally trying to prevent natural selection and thats battle you'll never ever win.

The reason we're finding variants is because for the first time in human history we're digging and looking for them constantly. Which means we'll always find them.
Its an endless self-destruct cycle of "another reason we need to lockdown".

Some people cannot have the vaccine due to allergies and yet you maxvaxxers are happy to toss their civil rights (and their lives) aside to an authoritarian system that will restrict them to total misery
Out of principle of the above - I object

The more people vaccinated, the fewer the infections, and like everyone else those who cannot have the vaccine due to allergies are safer. What is your problem?

In the last few days a very strong anti-vaxx theme has emerged in these discussions.

For people desperate to get out of lockdown, rejecting the solution seems very irrational.

It is called switch and bait. Laura Perrins to her credit identified this straight away. The 'three weeks to flatten the curve' etc was always BS.

The plan from day one was to have regular mandatory 'vaccines' to benefit the pharmaceutical industry, because Brexit Britain has to lead the world at something. Never mind using the population as laboratory rats, we can be sacrificed for the supposed 'greater good'.

Anyway, given the high level of lockdown compliance, has it occurred to you that there are millions of people who actually like the lockdown legislation, the working from home professional middle-class, who have adopted the gated community mentality, for example? They can't get enough of the 'New Normal' and would love it to be permanent. They are anything but desperate to get out of lockdown.

PS I regard the term anti-vaxx as a bit like anti-war, exactly what the New Labour types such as Nick Cohen despise Eighteen years after being an anti-war activist, I guess that I am now an anti-vaxx activist. Fine by me. In both cases ethically correct.

I'm getting the strong impression that a good proportion of the anti-vaccine motivation, is that the government is suggesting it as a solution.
Trust is an issue.
