I found this useful others might also. The regulations , guidance, what's law what's not ..interpretations ect can be a minefield but this at least is worth having as a reference which is regularly updated ( they try).

Although this video is american, it provides good reason for giving a "No Comment " response when questioned by UK Police.
"You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence." and it will most probably will harm your defence if you do!

I have seen that Burlington the guy is great and funny too.
My question is it's ok to say no comment which I would say but I would like to know the minimum that you can say eg how much do you say if arrested..stopped by the police ect .just your name?address?purpose of being out ect..I would really love to know what you do actually say as well as what you dont say. What's the minimum you have to say and leave it there? Do you ask why am I being arrested?under what regulation ( specific) or do you just listen and leave the rest to your lawyer?
This might be a different video so I will watch it in full now.
