Its YouGov...
Anyone can sign up online and they email out surveys. Absolutely no balance in the sample and it naturally selects for those bored/scared enough to be at home filling in surveys rather than out socialising or in actual work.
Some of the surveys are terrible as well, you'll click through pages and pages of "do you stream this TV service" type rubbish before a random page asks "ARE YOU STILL TERRIFIED OF COVID????" then its back to TV rubbish.
Sample bias is so large you really cant get any representative output from them which is why from day 1 they've been out of step with reality.
To be fair it might not be far off the mark. Ask someone in person face to face they may give a different answer than they would anonymously online.
IMHO this "pandemic" has made me realise that people in general are absolutely horrible and deep down most are just waiting for an opportunity to inflict misery on their fellow man.
Just look at all the mask Karens and such like out there. Honestly society is done for. The divisions that have been created between the heroic vaxxed warriors rolling up their sleeves for the benefit of others, true heros! And those vile selfish disgusting unclean anti-vaxx morons who refuse to do their civic duty and submit to the states will while running around murdering people with their germs is deep indeed.
The psy-op has been an unweilding and blistering success.
On the whole the vaxxed are very supportive of restrictions on the unvaxxed as it gives their ego's a little excuse to feel superior. Basic psychology IMHO.
A quick look in the real world where 90% of people aren't wearing masks tells you YouGov is nonsense.
All of these people not wearing masks could if they wanted to. They're not wearing the things because they don't want to.
Its mainly sample bias - their very nature selects people who voluntarily sign up to do surveys and sit at home to do them.
People who are out working and living a normal life aren't doing the survey.
I remember encountering similar attitudes years ago about mandating the flu jab for NHS staff. As a front- line NHS worker I felt annoyed about this; it's easy to believe other people should be forced to do things, and my attitude was that they should butt out and mind their own damn business.
As I'm looking at headlines this Monday morning, I'm seeing NHS Providers calling for a delay to the mandating of vaccines for NHS staff until the spring. Typical. Bricking it in case there is a staffing crisis over the winter; we'll get back to bullying you all next year, meanwhile: as you were, Heroes.
