Meghan Markle/ Piers Morgan

We could alway discuss Piers Morgan, Toby is:

Piers Morgan is not the most likeable guy, and he was no lockdown sceptic. But I he was a professional reporter. And reporters should not be forced to apologize about their honest opinions. So I'm sorry to see him go from GMB, and I'm saddened to see Meghan Markle claim another scalp. I expect she'll be back making third rate tv shows in LA before long, perhaps she'll bump into Piers Morgan somewhere down the line. He stends a bit of time in America. Anyway this Is what Toby Young has to say about it:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uux8BHSUNT8--
I stole this .sig

I would not bet on her getting her own TV show. A NetFlix "development deal" is as good as it gets. You should hear the stories that have been doing the rounds in the Southlands the last few years. Which is why she ended up in "exile" up the 101 in Montecito. Instead of her natural habitat of BelAir. Where all the crooks, freaks, fraudsters and kooks usually end up. MM burned all her bridges in The Biz long ago. I can see why Oprah wanted her in the neighborhood. She is now no longer the most disliked person in Montecito. In fact the last time I remember anyone this disliked by the locals was when the Shahs sister set up court back in the 1980's. With her Savak security detail.

Well the upside is that the house is in a flash flood and mudslide zone and last time there was a flash flood a few years ago a house a few doors down was washed away. There have been no mandatory evacuations so far this rainy season but I suspect all the neighbors have their fingers crossed. The rainy season is not over yet.

Plus its been quite a while since the Mission Canyon, Mesa, or Channel Faults have popped. So overdue for a good shake. Then there are the wildfires. That part of the foothills was the one bit that was not burned out a few years ago. So still to burn.

So that is fire, flood and earthquakes in their future. That should cheer up Piers. I really would love to buy him a coffee in Pierre Lafonds. In the Upper Village. That would be just so perfect.

From the viewpoint of the pandemic itself there appears little to discuss as you say it has happened and there’s a plan of sorts.

However, there are multiple topics that need discussion on fora such as these and, more importantly, in public.

These discussions have to take place otherwise there will be nothing to prevent an administration from adopting the same approach again and again in the future.

There is the ongoing aftermath that is likely to extend beyond the end of lockdown, that is if it ends and is not reintroduced in Autumn/winter 2021/2022 either for SARS-CoV-2 or influenza or some other disease.

Continual evaluation of lockdowns as a useless (and harmful) measure against virus with a view to getting the social media masses to understand this so that populist politicians change their tactics. We have to get the message out that this can not happen again ever because it causes far more harm than good.

Question and expose this fascination for centralisation and IT doesn't always give a better solution. The NHS track and trace app and the proposed vaccine passport to name but 2. It has to be demonstrated that if governments want proof of vaccination then the answer already exists in the WHO yellow booklet. Passports are still checked manually on entry at most borders so there is no need for an app that can be tracked by airlines etc before even leaving home.

There never can be since Parliament can do anything it likes. That is what it means to be sovereign, literally above everything.

What's so wrong with record keeping? Would you prefer to delete records of events that have occured? what good what that do?
hen the answer already exists in the WHO yellow booklet.

it seems to achieve a similar thing. It does not matter how the records are stored, as long as they are stored systematically.Or do you want to store the records unsystematically? I don't know what you are talking about, please explain yourself.
