The Police State is indeed the enemy within but we must not forget the other fronts on which government is planning oppression of us:
- The "Green Blob": I is astonishing to me that policy is still being driven by " man-made climate change". The "science" behind this produced by Michael E. Mann and associates is seriously flawed, including suspect data sources (such as a single tree) and many errors in analysis. Clearly the research was carried out with the final result in mind and whatever was necessary to achieve it. That result was the famed "Hockey Stick" graph showing an expected exponential rise whilst conveniently ignoring past high temperatures in the Middle Ages.
Research by Professor Ross McKitrick and Steve McIntyre over many years has comprehensively discredited the work of Mann and associates yet the IPCC and governments are still using it to change life as we know it to the advantage of the few "elite" and disadvantage of the rest of us.
Let us also consider the plans of the Gates' and associates at the UN and WEO for a massive reduction in world population and their track record of killing people in Africa and India with untested vaccines,. No wonder government thinks it can trash conventional electricity generation and ban gas; there won't be anything like normal demand if they get their way.
Let's face it; government is not on our side. Taking that view explains much of the apparent incompetence.
Well put the engineer..

Given that the police are using more and more absurd reasons for issuing fines for breaking covid laws ( a minefield anyway) do people know of any group of lawyers or lawyer that understand the draconian rules and can help on what to do should you be arrested. Eating a Mars bar in public will likely soon be classed as a picnic so I am going to stock up on picnic bars to confuse the plod a bit..
Being prepared for the ever increasing likelihood of plod tapping you on the shoulder would be very helpful.i know there are a few lawyers on here. I think it would be good information to have to hand.
😀
Familiarise yourself with the regulations, that's my advice. Lockdown 3.0 was achieved by basically extending Tier 4 to everywhere and adding to Tier 4 the closure of schools.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2021/8/made
Note that there are no restrictions on travelling; the restriction is on the reason you are out the house. I think the thing to do is to be assertive but not aggressive, carry copies of the regulations (not guidance!) on you, and if they give you a fine take it wordlessly and don't pay it (assuming it's for something they made up like walking with a coffee or being more than five miles away or out the house more than once a day). They will then have to decide whether or not to prosecute. Given that a lot of Coof Act prosecutions were chucked en masse in the summer because they were trying to prosecute for offences that didn't exist, they may well decide not to prosecute.
At my firm during lockdown 2.0 we were still working from work and were given letters from the partners explaining how it was reasonably necessary for us to go into the office still to show to Inspector Knacker if he asks why we're out of doors. Maybe ask your employer if you're working from work to provide similar letters in case you're stopped. But alas, the managing partner has succumbed to bedwetting due to his stepdaughter testing positive (and being put into DOUBLE QUARANTINE, but that's another post) and we're all to work from home until further notice.
If they do prosecute, find a criminal solicitor urgently. If arrested, say nothing without a solicitor present.
I would volunteer my services but have no real experience with criminal matters as I've always been in civil litigation.
Thanks TE
I have a letter already for work but on my time off the things I wish to know
1. What information are you obliged to give ( just that) ..name address reason for out ect . Is it just your name? Name and address?
2. Are you obliged to give all your details there and then or can you say I will wait and give those details to the booking sergeant judge ect?
3. Are you obliged to take any fixed penalty notice fine ect in your hand or can you refuse to take it?.
4. Should you have a pre prepared name of a criminal lawyer ( ie should you contact them first and say in light of ..can you represent me ( just in case scenario) or should you find a lockdown specialist lawyer who may be the other side of the country ( does that count)..
5. What is the arrest procedure ( I have always been law abiding but now it appears we are all criminals).
6. When do you say I wish to take this to court..
Things like this would be helpful to know please although I know this is not strictly your area..
I probably have more so thanks in advance.
Given that the rules law regulations are so illogical and seem to change daily I am not sure the best things to carry about..
😀

Okay, so, the law for FPNs under the Coof Act is that an FPN is basically a notice that if you pay a given sum (£200 for first infraction doubling to £6,400) within 28 days, they won't prosecute you. This is legally binding - the regulations say they can't prosecute for coofcrime in those 28 days or if you pay.
Note that it doesn't say they WILL prosecute. It also doesn't give them a right to go straight to enforcement either; they have to prosecute first.
So to challenge it in Court your only avenue is to not pay and see if they prosecute. I think the idea is that they assume that most people are too frit of Court and will just pay.

Note that if the FPN is invalid because it doesn't conform to the requirements of the regulations that doesn't mean they can't prosecute though.
Paying an FPN does not, to the best of my understanding, give you a criminal record or count as an admission of guilt, but there is a case from 2010 which indicates that FPNs over other things can have the circumstances in which they were given admitted into evidence in subsequent criminal cases.
