This needs to be kept simple for the Politicians.
54% of COVID19 deaths are over 80years of age.
38% of COVID19 deaths are between 60 - 80years of age.
18% of the UK population is over 65 of which 2.5% is over 85.
Therefore they tend not to be in the working environment. Take all the resources available and protect them beyond normal practice.
Where there is a potential to compromise this e.g. a Care Worker has children at school, a partner or other member of the house is a potential risk then address that.
Do not shut down the country.
COVID policy is being made on a minority.
The LAW is acts based on their potential to produce the most good for the most people. It judges neither the good nor the people who benefit.
In the beginning the Government advice was to use FACTS, ironic that they never used them but consulted Wikipedia.
Now they advise ventilation because only now it is airborne 🤔
I find it strange the commitment by most Governments to the drugs and chemicals industry to see our way out of the Pandemic.
There are examples from the Far East where dramatic/ drastic measures were taken (that we would have no doubt rebelled against 🙄) but worked until they opened up again to the world.
I just wonder who the winners are Drug and Chemical companies I say!
