'why do I need a vaccine if I've had Covid?'
Does anybody have any advice?

You don't. You will have natural immunity however...

In order for freedom obliterating, totalitarian freedom/vaxx passes to work the entire population MUST be vaxxed. So get in line and get the jab you anti-vaxx loon you! 🙄

In all seriousness no one under probably 55 without serious health concerns needs the gene juice "vaccine".

The world has gone absolutely bonkers and i'm seriously done with it. If you want the vaxx have it, if you don't tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine is my advice.

Is anybody asking the question, 'why do I need a vaccine if I've had Covid?'
I had Covid in January, and although I'm not against having necessary vaccines for serious diseases, I would rather know what my natural level of immunity is in order to be fully informed before consenting to taking an experimental vaccine. I am trying to find out where I can get an antibody and T cell test. Does anybody have any advice?

Go and ask a doctor.

Do not get your medical advice from un-informed strangers, on a site like this with a high density of ant-vax people.

You probably don't right now.

Although it does seem to be possible to be re-infected, instances of this are currently exceedingly rare. The conclusion is that natural immunity after being infected lasts at least 10 months (if this were not so we'd see many, many more re-infections). It's possible with the other coronaviruses we know about too - re-infection is a possibility - although the studies show that 2nd time around the symptoms are usually much less severe.

Almost as if the body remembers it eh?

Who'd have thought it - we actually have a darned good immune system. But no - even though the vax doesn't stop us from being infectious we need the vax to "protect" everyone else, because, errrrr, reasons.

You can try, but there might be no answer. I tried by writing to my GP at the surgery I’m registered with, declining the jab advertised to me by post, volunteering a suitable blood sample. Silence w.r.t. to that, just a reply to the effect that they won’t let me know when they start offering the jab locally (currently it’s being done at a ‘mass event’ in a Council venue). There appear to be some commercial gadgets that could do this - e.g. https://www.tspotdiscovery.com/ Might be interesting as I had a minor infection soon before the media grabbed hold of the new one. Probably too late to look for antibodies now - I think they’re junk after you’ve killed off the infection. T cells might be interesting, however, the cash flow would be the wrong way round, a cynic might observe.

Maxipeach imho the one person definitely not to ask advice about the vaccine is your doctor.
By all means do your own research, although from my own personal experience trying to find any balanced advice on the vaccine is not easy, however an NHS doctor will only give you the current NHS pro-vaccine advice, their hands and tongues are tied and have to advise you the central NHS policy, this encapsulates the whole problem with NHS treatment protocols on any disease or ailment, they are all generic not patient focused.
Certain posters on here will disagree with that, as they are infiltraters who back the government, NHS, SAGE advice on every single issue, so their advice is disingenuous also.
I wish you all the best making your informed choice, best suited to your needs.
