Are you seriously suggesting that criminals should be able to hide their past from the us and our police? What sort of world do you have in mind? The wild west is over and done with for obvious reasons.

Why should my local council have access to my medical records or bank details? Why should a system exist where its even possible to grant them that access without the express permission?

Why should my entire life be exposed online to be used potentially by 3rd parties obtaining access to them via security holes or corruption?

Again this has ALREADY happened with 20+ local government and other bodies being granted access to private data with the person whos data it is having no say in the matter.
good, then you'll know the data will be stored in a relational database.

No. Because thats the whole point. You simply don't put data all together in one database or system.
If it doesnt need to be there, it shouldn't be there and shouldn't be linked.

There's no reason or benefit TO the information all being stored in that sort of framework so it shouldn't be.

Again, basic data security.

The insane security and ethical issues simply shoving all the data about someone into a single set of databases are huge.
It goes against every single data security principle.

Indeed so. And it goes against data protection laws stipulating how personal and separately sensitive personal data are stored and treated, for how long and for which purposes.

That is all limited in law. It takes a warrant to obtain certain data currently.

Three weeks to flatten the curve and here we are a year later actually debating whether it's right or wrong to have every citizen of this country having its entire life history and currency stored in one database and recallable at the fingertips of every govt department, police, social services, security services and who else.

Just in case. So they can round us up according to the way they say the wind is blowing at a later date? Bit late when it happens.

I feel absolutely privileged to have been brought up and educated to have values which have no place for the above.

Im fully aware how it works.

good, then you'll know the data will be stored in a relational database. I don't think they are going to heed your advice to throw it away, because you don't like it. Try being a realist.

You realise that you're literally arguing that the Stasi were OK to do what they did simply because they could.

Anything you can get away with is OK by you. Nice.

I'm hoping that they're over-reaching themselves, that their tech doesn't actually deliver what the manufacturers have promised. In the old Soviet Union no-one wanted to tell those in power that things didn't work so stats were altered, outright lies were told and corruption and incompetence reined supreme. The rest is history.

Is anybody asking the question, 'why do I need a vaccine if I've had Covid?'
I had Covid in January, and although I'm not against having necessary vaccines for serious diseases, I would rather know what my natural level of immunity is in order to be fully informed before consenting to taking an experimental vaccine. I am trying to find out where I can get an antibody and T cell test. Does anybody have any advice?
