Vaccine "passports" are medical records. They're completely unconnected with the question of who you are.

Authentication frameworks can seem quite strange and new even to highly IT literate people like you Splatt. So I'll explain how it will work briefly, forgive me if this is all obvious. Data scientists have had similar systems for ~ 2 decades, called grid certificates.
When you turn up and ask to enter a nation, a border guard will check that your medical records show you have been vaccinated.
AUTHENTICATION
So he'll need to authenticate you to ensure you are legit. You'll give him your identity credentials (which may have some biometrics in them, e.g. a photo), which he will use to authenticate you and ask permission to see your medical records.
AUTHORIZATION and disclosure
if you authorize it he'll use your credentials to read the records related to you.
So there will be no vaccine passport (it might be a credit card thingie), that's hogwash to sell to the papers. It'll all be online, bar the card. If you don't authorise him, you'll be invited to go home.

I am very much drawn to the excellent lead article of Lockdown Sceptics today, which describes extremely accurately that the British public are all victims of an abusive toxic relationship being perpetrated by the UK government, if some people want to have the Covid vaccine good luck to them.
Why oh why should l be coerced or worse forced to have this vaccine, if l do not wish for it.
How can anybody be absolutely assured of its safety, in honesty they can't.
Therefore there is an element of risk and on balance l would prefer to take my chances with Covid, Covid l feel is in comparison to the vaccine is a risk that l can accept and live with, the vaccine is a longer term total unknown!!!

I have heard no convincing benefits for wanting ..needing or accepting any experimental vaccine either from the government and their cronies or from the 77th brigade on here.
All I hear around me is coercion threats and bullying. Why do I need a jab to live my life free of restrictions and draconian rules for the bedwetters to feel safe.
Simple solution the bedwetters obviously feel unsafe around the unvaccinated so let them stay at home have the jab and wet their beds and let the unvaccinated live their lives and alternative services and leisure facilities employment businesses ect be run by the unvaccinated for the unvaccinated.
The point of the delays for keeping lockdown is the ultimate aim of jabbing us all for their own benefits and has f..k all to do with the 99.9% health benefits.
