Mr Miller may have been in the right but refusing to wear masks etc frightens people to no good purpose that I can see. It will not endear people to a lockdown sceptic cause. One cannot expect frightened people to act rationally. I passed someone in the street who shrank away from me as though I were Dracula risen from the grave. If she had held up a crucifix I would not have been surprised. I was sorry for her rather than contemptuous.

I dont feel contempt for anyone wearing a mask but as I respect their choice to wear one I would like the same respect back for my choice not to wear one. I choose to breathe freely as my main reason.

You're mistaken. Peddling sensationalist lies and telling everyone their life is in imminent danger is what frightens people to no good purpose. Not wearing a mask serves to remind people that the danger is largely imaginary.

I feel pity for most people wearing a mask outdoors.
That changes to contempt if they start preaching about others wearing a mask.

A lot of these people have been so brainwashed but utterly ridiculous government and media messaging that they're genuinely terrified. They're not thinking rational any more. I can't feel contempt for people who are suffering from a mental psychosis.

I don't wear a mask but have a = https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/903454/Exemption_from_face_covering_card_to_print.pdf ]self printed and laminated exemption badge. It seems to satisfy everyone and I'm always treated better than the average - probably a smiling real face helps rather than 2 frightened eyes above a sinister black muzzle. The alternative of some OTT thing like wearing a 17th Century plague doctor or turning up at the checkout looking like Dr Shi ZhengLi from Wuhan Virology labswould probaly cause more problems and panic. I do wear my one and only horrible soiled mask at an engineering suppliers to placate a 40 year old who is genuinely terrified of the risk of being in the same space as an unmasked human,

Miller mentioned that the police constable quoted some circular argument that negated the Public Order Act 1986 s5 offence of the manager causing him alarm & distress. This is incorrect and I'd ve thought Mr Miller might have checked that. Anyway for the record it matters not whether Tesco magically had become private; the alleged offence is committed
s5 Harassment, alarm or distress.

(a)uses threatening or abusive words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour,
within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby.
