Cheesy rider..I dont know your barista but I like her..I know lots and lots of people like her.
I suppose the question of survival is
1. Survival of the rona iron
2. Survival of any penalties imposed should you choose not to have the vaccine?
Spain will be compiling a blacklist of vaccine refusals to send to other countries. No doubt the dictators in government will follow suit. I wonder why?could it be there has been a plan all along???
😀
I'm taking it if it's offered because I'm interested in my own survival.
Thats fine, if you're over 65 or have co-morbidities then it makes perfect sense.
It doesn't make any real sense if you're not though.
But I'm very happy if it does protect others since there are indications that the vaccine could reduce virus transmission.
No there are not. There is NOTHING yet for any of them.
But you might be right to have doubts, at least until the "observed reduction in asymptomatic infections", as Pollard's team call them are more robust. I'm happy it has been approved on grounds of efficacy and safety since that will reduce hospital cases, icu cases and deaths, which is what the government is monitoring. It's cheap as well!
Yes Oxford is cheap but at only 61% efficacy (reducing to 38% if they extend dose 2 out to 12 weeks as mentioned today) anyone who really NEEDS protection really should be getting the far far more effective Pfizer.

How can we be assured of the "efficacy and safety" if the two-year safety trials have not been completed, and no animal testing has been done?

Because animal testing was done and as with every other vaccine, the 2 year review happens after the vaccine is already being delivered.
There is NOTHING yet for any of them.
Nothing eh? Oxford University, they say there is an Early indication that vaccine could reduce virus transmission from an observed reduction in asymptomatic infections. That's a good start, eh? I won't bet the farm on it yet, Splatt!
