My sadness and anger is for the unnecessary actions that have ruined lives and what this country is fast becoming.
😥

These two can be transformed into compassion and firm resolve, which are enabling rather than disabling.

My mum died 18 months ago after years of treatment for various cancers. I am glad she was able to leave us surrounded by family in the hospice.
I cannot imagine your pain having to endure the seperation at that time.
From my mothers experience she was let down by the NHS no consistent doctor or specialist, being given drugs ad hoc some causing horrible side effects. At the end she was begging to be put down.
I am grateful my family and friends are all in relative good health and have no underlying conditions requiring hospital treatment.
My mother in laws previous partner had to go into hospital for a heart condition he never left killed by MRSA . Now you get convid after you go in.
On a happy note I have my health as does my partner and we have a beautiful grandson and granddaughter who give us much happiness.

I would agree mike but I dont find compassion and sadness disabling I find it empowering such as out of the darkness comes light..light at the end of the tunnel ect .my emotions change daily with the situation from hope to despair from happy to sad from helpless to powerful hence why i am on this forum as I take a mix of emotions away from it but most of all hope..and a good laugh quite often.

I was learning photography before this covid nonsense all kicked off, and I can genuinely say it is the only worthwhile thing in my life at the moment (apart from MrMyHomeIsMyCastle, of course).

I am either angry, depressed or frustrated at any given moment, or any combination of the three, often all three.

Photography takes me out of myself while I'm doing it, but as soon as I stop, the terrible trio return.

The only other thing that gives me any pleasure is breaking stupid rules: I actively seek out one-way systems so I can deliberately walk the wrong way round them. I was disappointed when the stupid new "traffic light" at the entrance to Tesco was at green, as I would have preferred to go into the shop while it was red.

Sorry, this is supposed to be a happy thread.

I am not happy.

Are you anywhere in London or the south-east? I used to enjoy a spot of photography prior to all this nonsense.

I did not say that compassion is disabling: quite the opposite. True compassion encourages inner strength, to overcome the misery of others.
