There are still simple joys in life. I've been teaching my 9 year old the game of conkers. Whilst I now have mildly bruised wrists, my son is now in possession of a two-er.

Share nice things you've seen or done in here 🙂

Wonderful! To my mind, one of the most beautiful sights to behold is a conker freshly out of its shell - a glossy, rich swirling pattern of shades of brown.
If one is going to go nuts in the current situation, this is the way to do it. Go bonkers about conkers!

I just had a lovely normal evening with friends chatting laughing and joking. One is worried about everything but finally she was able to relax and enjoy herself...

I was learning photography before this covid nonsense all kicked off, and I can genuinely say it is the only worthwhile thing in my life at the moment (apart from MrMyHomeIsMyCastle, of course).

I am either angry, depressed or frustrated at any given moment, or any combination of the three, often all three.

Photography takes me out of myself while I'm doing it, but as soon as I stop, the terrible trio return.

The only other thing that gives me any pleasure is breaking stupid rules: I actively seek out one-way systems so I can deliberately walk the wrong way round them. I was disappointed when the stupid new "traffic light" at the entrance to Tesco was at green, as I would have preferred to go into the shop while it was red.

Sorry, this is supposed to be a happy thread.

I am not happy.

He needs to get himself geared up for next year, stock up on ammunition now and put it in a warm cupboard until next year. Then he needs to gently drill the string hole.

It’s all about planning, execution and having the right weaponry.

Something these woke idiots know nothing about.
