What specifically do people think will happen. What will be the process of the great reset and how would such a system work in the long term?
There is only one Industrial Revolution, with several phases of maturity and the newest is being coined the Great Reset.
For me the Fourth Industrial Revolution/Great Reset started in August 1975, when I started work as an Instrument Mechanic, which is the field of automatic measurement and control. Which means replacing factory operators by machines. Replacing skill and judgement with algorithms and sensors. At first we were concerned with making existing procedures automatic, because, unlike operators, machines don't need to eat. But over time, we implemented things that had hitherto been impossible, like the cell phone and internet banking etc. We learned to store the data we gathered in things called Databases . In my working life, I moved in small steps from controlling the temperature of liquid in a tank to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Great Reset which we are now in the midst of. Think of it as the continuation of all the trends in the last 50 years at least, as technology has come from almost nothing to eventually occupy nearly every part of our lives.
The name Great Reset is a huge misnomer because the old stuff will keep going and the new stuff will be implemented in parallel, it will be decades or centuries before all the old stuff is gone. There will be no big turning off and big turning on, as implied by Reset. There will simply be a gradual replacement of old ideas with new hopefully better ones. Obvsly, there will be some new stuff that has hitherto been impossible. I do not expect faster than light travel or anything like that.
It all has absolutely nothing to do with covid-19.
To some extent I agree Swinchard. I certainly agree that The Great Reset, Green Industrial Revolution, Fourth Industrial Revolution, Agenda 21 etc, etc have nothing whatsoever to do with C19.
C19 is nothing more than a cover for the totalitarian takeover. Interestingly Melinda Gates in an interview with the New York Times this past week stated along the lines of " we didn't really consider the economic implications." Well, I'll take that with a large pinch of salt but the admission of guilt re the fall-out from this HOAX is absolutely startling.
I am of the opinion that the plans are already in place for the rest of this decade so when people claim that Bojo and his Genocidal buddies don't know what they are doing they are way off the mark. Every country in the world is broadly following the same path so there is a central steering committee some where. Bojo and his muppets probably don't know what they are doing but they are under orders to await their NEXT orders.
The hospitality industry is being destroyed WORLWIDE. With knock on effects for brewers, hauliers, farmers and so on.
The holiday industry is being wiped out WORLDWIDE.
The aviation industry will soon collapse WORLDWIDE.
High streets are being wiped out WORLDWIDE.
Health services are being wiped out in the UK if not quite (yet) WORLDWIDE.
Cash is probably going to disappear in 2021 and the control that will be exercised over us then does not bear thinking about but it will be wholly Orwellian.
The motor industry will soon collapse as petrol and diesel cars become worthless as we head towards 2030 and the banning of said vehicles for electric nonsense; all in the name of dealing with non-existent Global warming / climate change.
(Actually I do acknowledge climate change because it would be odd indeed if there was none - Ice Fairs on the Thames in the 18th century and earlier.)
A Digital world is being forced upon us and with it will go all our rights and freedoms. In the short-term the evil people bringing these changes in may appear successful but as the human spirit is crushed so will die innovation and enterprise and all the glories (the arts in all forms) that makes us human.
As humanity dies so will our species. I fear we are at the beginning of the end unless somehow we can de-rail the madness. Assistance will not come from the politicians.
However things pan out we are in for an exceedingly dark and possibly terminal next few years

wrt High streets , the supermarkets spoiled those decades ago.
wrt health services, hospitality, holidays, nothing to do with the Great Reset, these were hit by temporary collateral damage from covid19.

I received some blurb from The Reform Party, fairly general stuff, but there is a paragraph referring to the 'appalling WEF Great Reset' plans. The relationship between Politicians, Big Business and Banks is something they want to break up as part of their general policy. I know this is a long shot but at least they are prepared to talk about it and bring it to the public attention. This is a start as most people are blissfully unaware in their trivialised stupor.
