So tests are 90% false positives are they? So you mean that rather than the 6000 cases reported today (23rd Sept) there are actually only 600?
Unfortunately, apart from the bed wetters who are wilfully taking tests, some people don't have a choice. I am a school teacher and all staff and students are required to stay home and book a test if they display symptoms. I am just going to try my best not to fall ill (which is a silly plan I know), however, I might still end up under house arrest because of someone else 😔
Exactly like Mike said. That sounds like a plan and not silliness to try stay healthy. Eat well, sleep well, exercise and don't stress too much. That all helps a lot ! Also if you are a teacher, can you not sit down with the head master and explain to each other few things like:
Yet, nobody proved that covid exists ?
The test does not test for a virus ?
The test should be not used for diagnosis ?
The masks don't work - plenty of evidence, but non which proves that it does work ? The only studies that does say that they might help or that that they help, have done no human trials so their value is below a broken copper coin.
Then you could have a discussion how to make the school looks like it is complying, but it actually won't. Or something in this sense.
Shocked to hear that nobody has proved that covid exists. Why do more people not know this?

Interestingly, there is reason to say that they could do more harm than good. Did you see the video by Ivor Cummins?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UvFhIFzaac
He makes the point that exposing ourselves a little this time of year could help our defences in the winter. Paradoxically, the mask designed to act as a prevention could act as a cause.
No I haven't seen this, but all I know about masks I have from school - biology, TV, where I saw how people are dressed when they work with viruses and then later on when I done a lot of reading about ppe, working with a very fine dusts and then later studies + as the latest source I saw some videos of people testing them with oxymeter or people blowing smoke or vape out throught the mask, where the smoke is almost as small as a viral particle and the smoke was coming out from everywhere not just around mask. But I will have a look today at what Cummings have to say to this. The more I know, the better I feel and the less possible I will be victimized.

Better question than why more people don't about it is why they don't know about it ? Answer ? Because there is soo much fuss about this covid and later about this and that, and racism and again something, then again something else, then the test result false positives and so on and on, that people actually forgot to question the very basics of the matter. The PCR test is not for diagnostics and it is not binary (= doesn't have positive or negative), so why we are testing with this test ?
And second people forgot to question does this actually exists ? Why our medical officials been told by who to not isolate this virus ? Why nobody isolated it ? Why Koch's Postulate was not done with this virus ?
And by the way there is a court case that is demanding the proof that covid exists, just have a read through:
https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/the-coronavirus-act-2020/
That's why I always said about this case that it is better than Simon Dolans because it is built on facts and laws and not because they don't like the lockdown like Dolan.
Thanks to all of you. My headteacher has been quite reasonable so far - no impositions and letting staff and children act as they feel most comfortable as regards masking themselves. Of course we have put into place a considerable amount of changes in the name of Safety First. Overall, the school day and interactions are quite normal for me.
As regards masks, I have tried to explain the exact same points IamRipe mentioned to my closest colleagues. I even went as far as to share the article on false positives with one of them. The result is that this specific colleague now seems pretty avoidant.
Finally, we are receiving weekly updates about cases in our area etc. We were told through one of these that should our area become a concern, we would have to wear masks while moving around the site, which is complete nonsense considering that even PHE understands that the chances of catching an air borne illness passing someone on a corridor are pretty slim.
The good thing is that all my colleagues seem to understand the need for children to be in school. There is also an unspoken understanding that children don't get it, although the staff are still very afraid that they may catch it and bring it home to vulnerable relatives. I understand this particular concern, although I passed the fear stage many months ago and I simply cannot go back in that frame of mind (thank God!).
Fear is very powerful and lasting it seems. I'm trying to look like the happiest and most cheerful person I can think of while I am at work. I know this is truly infectious and hopefully it will help them break the spiral of anxiety they are in.
I am trying to work out the most effective way to wake people up and I think the answer is gently, with one piece of information at a time and using logic.
