Fon thank you for your kind words, however l am tee-total.
But not a puritan so l hope you get to enjoy your outdoor pint if and when the time comes in Cymru.
Might need your umbrella in Cymru though Fon. 😆
I will definitely vote for any anti lockdown party standing here!
Great post once again from you Nobody, for me you certainly are a somebody, your posts are always top quality. 👍

Yes, we have a few Brollies hup ere. It's the semblance of normality that I crave. It's not drink that I go to the pub for, it's the friendly craic, I need a destination to motivate me to get out, and the local pub (the blue Bell) has welsh lessons that I am keen to resume. Here is a short film I made about life in Wales: you might enjoy it, I wind up at the pub.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXjuxsAGnA4&t=1s

I made the film for a reason, a year ago, after a long, odd bout of "covid19-like" flu, I had a sudden stroke/brain haemorrhage), The friendly DVLA promptly stripped me of my car license, it took me 9 months of pleading to get it back, to prove I could control a vehicle, I made this film of a ride on halkyn mountain. If it was covid19 that gave me a stroke - stroke is no joke! and that is why I am very keen on vaccines, and tolerant of lockdowns to a degree. Long covid19 can cause serious brain damage, as my story shows.
I will definitely vote for any anti lockdown party standing here!

Good work Speedstick. In 3 weeks your cafes and museums will be open. That will be the start of a semblance of normality for England, since it will be hard to reverse these steps. I'm 10 mins from the border, so I can reach England on my bike.

Well, having always had to publicly defend positions that ensured I would never work, I am glad if someone finds some sense in a philosophy born of necessity. I came across this today, which is a variation of what I was attempting to suggest:

Dr Donald Henderson, eradicator of smallpox, wrote a report on the H5N1 Swine Flu epidemic: “Experience has shown that communities faced with epidemics or other adverse events respond best, with the least anxiety, when the normal social functioning of the community is least disrupted. Strong political and public health leadership to provide reassurance and to ensure that needed medical care services are provided, are critical elements. If either are seen to be less than optimal a manageable epidemic can move towards catastrophe.”

I am aware that there was work in epidemiology that the qualities of social contact and association affected mortality in communities even given all other considerations but it is not my field (I never got a job in that either, though I must be the only person in UK history who was visiting fellow at Queen's Medical School in Nottingham whilst claiming benefits).
I think it is worth considering why liberty is in itself significant and how its denial affects individuals. What has been created shows how easily liberties can be removed but all it does is extend conditions and forms of encroachment and deprivation that are always endemic to societies (like this virus apparently now is). We would do well to develop collective social structures that can protect people from these encroachments so that we are less vulnerable to the types of processes that are being used now to sustain this loss not merely of our individual liberties but of the cultural grounds of our access to civilised forms. Civilisation is an achievement that has to be collectively produced and defended, it is obviously not a constant. It is hard to see anything coming out of this situation that might foster anything relating to humanly invigorating forms, this is why it is possible for the crisis to be managed in the way it has been, there are no public bases of resistance that really matter outside the professions who can always be managed.
On a different note, does anyone know how I might get a private message to dr reiner fuellmich?

This is a doom laden thread. But it doesn't need to be like that.

People are fighting back all over the UK. There are countless groups, even new political parties forming eg Freedom Alliance.

There are people meeting regularly every sunday "stand in the park".

If you get banned from some crappy social media platform then it's not worth your time being on there. Find another one. Do some research, there are groups of like minded people that are forming local and national networks all over the country, telegram and fb... Get in touch with them, meet up with them and start making your plans for your future. Dont waste your energy on the crap that's being thrown our way by the criminal gov.

Something I read today on one of my groups:

On a practical, everyday level, we stop giving them our energy. We shift our focus and place our effort into creating a nurturing, supportive reality for ourselves and each other that embraces nature, natural wellness, self-responsibility, freedom, creativity, and holistic, peaceful ways of living. We find our conscious, free-thinking brothers & sisters, and we support each other in healthy community and fairer, kinder ways of living. We bring in the change with the choices we make. It is up to us.

This is exactly what we need to do. For every minute we spend watching the news we waste a minute moving forwards in creating a better world. If every one of us on this page committed to changing their life for the better the impact would be huge. Because if you change your life for the better others will be attracted by your energy and curious as to how you are thriving during these times.

Morrissey has some great words on his song Spent the Day in Bed.

Stop watching the news
Because the news is there to frighten you.
To make you feel scared and alone
To make you feel that your mind isn't your own.

And then you see the footage from yesterday and you realise you aren't alone. There are hundreds of thousands of us in the UK, millions around the world feeling the same. It's amazing to see the crowds walking peacefully together to fight for our freedom - for the freedom of those who are going along with everything, having no idea what is at stake. Yet that doesn't matter to them - they are prepared to get arrested to fight for the truth. It is there for everyone to see now and our numbers are huge.

Fascinating times and if the papers have it their way people will wake up today feeling scared, alone and powerless.

But what we are doing is incredible and that is because we are coming together in huge numbers now. No doubt yesterday will be described as an anti this or anti that - but what is it about is Pro Freedom, Pro human rights, Pro joining together and not buying into the controlled methods they've used to divide us.

I'm so thankful to everyone on this page for helping us create a better future and feel continually excited to see what we are creating. Half of me wants to be in a time capsule so I can visit us in two years time and see what we are doing but the journey is the most exciting bit too so I'm just going to enjoy every minute of it in the meantime.

Thanks again to everyone here for creating this wonderful page ❤❤🙏
