Throughout the spring of this year the public saw fit to be guided to gather on their doorsteps and cheer and clap for a health service that had replaced the Hippocratic oath, consciously or otherwise, with some exotic triage system.
We only do Covid 19 cases, basically.
This ensured a store of preventable early deaths from non respiratory tract infections (NRTIs) well into the future, which would greatly exceed the number of deaths caused by the Covid 19 respiratory tract infections.
Should we now reserve that magic hour on Thursdays to clap and cheer our constabluaries and Covid 19 marshalls ?
Asking for a friend.
Covid marshalls are not police officers, and I am not aware of any law forbidding anyone from impersonating a Covid marshall without being so appointed. So can we all just appoint ourselves Covid marshalls? ...and perhaps then bask in your proposed applause whilst sporting homemade "Covid marshall" uniforms? Can someone please start making and selling silly "Covid marshall" attire? Hats? Badges? Sashes? Gasmasks?

If we look at the ONS weekly deaths over the last four weeks, we see that they are above the maximum for the last ten years. As the ONS say, these deaths is not driven by covid-19.
The increase in deaths above the average for the last ten years in these four weeks is about 2,500. That is 89 per day. What has been the average deaths per day due to covid-19? It is 12.
If the government's actions are about saving lives, they are clearly losing this one by an average 76 deaths per day. How about reporting that in the media as a figure?
I won't clap for them, but if you like, I can CRAP for them?
I read this as should we be SLAPPING covid marshals. Thought fair enough..
