I find this new format awkward. On some days the main comments section was where I would head to first. Enjoyed reading some of the regular posters and finding out how things are going and what they thought.
Hope we can keep the community feel going somehow.

Yes please. Insomnia is all that’s dragged me to the very old style and clunky forum here. If I have to go to Telegram and Reddit, then so be it. But I’d prefer BTL to come back. It’s very existence and the genuinely free speech people were permitted is the reason I even bothered with LDS the first time.

Don't like this. Can someone let me know where most LS folks have migrated to/give me a link?

I do agree that the old forum should be reinstated. People did seem to feel a sense of community - or at least not being alone - through participating. I know there were some extreme views but also some very sensible and moderate ones and some very human stories which elicited wonderful responses. To me it was the essence of what free speech should be. However it is probably not possible as it looks like they have migrated to a new system - phpbb - which is optimised for topic centred discussion rather that community participation. This, unfortunately, is where the medium becomes the message

You can get something similar to the previous style by selecting the ‘new posts’ menu option.

I usually go straight to the forums because I find the news stories so depressing lately. Its getting a bit grating seeing them hijacked by the two or three trolls that spend so much time on this site though. Are they the same person? Are they just playing devil's advocate out of boredom or are they paid by someone to undermine the mostly sceptic community on here
