Correctly identified Splatt, in broader general terms studies l have read suggest strongly that the more transmissible a virus is the less lethal it is likely to be, hence the mutation should have been seen as a +ve development, instead it was portrayed to the masses via the MSM as exactly the opposite, why?
You are exactly correct Mia,vfor all its advances the human race has still not comprehended we have to work with Mother Nature, not against her.
You and l think so alike, l feel you must be my long lost twin.

Its generally the case yes but there are notable exceptions so its not guaranteed.

What they're worried about is *if* this does turn out to be more transmissible it'll infect more people than the other.
So even though its not more lethal in itself, the fact it's infected more people would make it more deadly in numerical terms.

Also worth noting the B.1.1.7 has lots of new mutations, several of which we dont really know anything about.

This government is all 'ifs and butts'. With reference to the former, most of their anti-covid actions are based on 'ifs' that are scare-mongered by their muppet scientific advisers. More attention needs to be based on evidence rather than speculative predictions - particularly when those predictions have consistently proved grossly inaccurate. One might say that their predictions are more aptly termed predilections.

In this case though there is some evidence that B.1.1.7 might be more transmissible.
We don't know for sure but there is suggestive data and a plausible biological mechanism.
They're using it as an excuse for everything though - massively overstating its impact so far.

That said, Wales is worse. Its being blamed for out of control cases of 4000 a day......and its been detected 99 times in total since September.
